Chapter 3000: Chapter 3009: We Weren’t Close Before
Baron Lawrence led her through the crowd all the way from the front of the Commercial Street to the mall nearby, then stopped. He put her hand into his coat pocket and held it tightly, turning his head to ask her, "Enna Clark, do you want to go see a movie?"
Generally, it seems like couples always go to see movies when they go on dates.
Thinking about it, it seems he hadn’t taken her out to watch a romantic movie in a long time!
Adam Sinclair used to chatter by his ear, saying that women are creatures who love romance. If you don’t create romantic moments for them for a long time, sooner or later they’ll run off with another man.
Ha, he didn’t believe Enna Clark would dare run off with someone else. If she dared, he’d break that man’s damn leg!
If Enna wanted to run, he’d break someone else’s leg, and he wouldn’t see any flaw in the logic of that, "So, are we going?"
"A movie? Is there anything good showing recently?" Enna Clark thought for a moment, "I want to watch a romantic film."
"What’s good about those kinds of films? They are utterly boring!" Baron Lawrence scoffed.
Enna Clark looked at him defiantly, adamantly defending her rights, "It’s definitely better than horror films! I’m not watching Science Fiction Movies, horror films, or documentaries. If it’s any of those three, I’d rather not watch anything!"
Her attitude was firm. Baron Lawrence glared at her for a while, realizing she had no intention of changing her mind, frowned, and irritably said, "Enna Clark, I’ve noticed your temper is getting worse. You didn’t have so many opinions before."
"That’s because I wasn’t familiar with you before. Now that we’re married, of course, I’ll say what I think." Heaven knows how upset she felt when he took her to a horror movie on a date previously.
She doesn’t like horror films, nor does she enjoy Science Fiction Movies entirely in English, and she likes documentaries even less! Given the choice, she’d definitely pick romantic films that girls like. It’s a light-hearted and romantic way to pass the time.
Baron Lawrence was calmed by her mention of ’we’re married,’ pressed his thin lips together, and led her toward the cinema, essentially compromising.
However, when they were buying tickets to decide which romantic movie to watch, he was almost infuriated again.
"I want to watch the one starring Holden Blackwell!"
"No way!"
The man on the poster wasn’t even wearing clothes.
The key was, did she think he was blind and couldn’t see how her eyes sparkled looking at that effeminate guy?
"I just want to watch that one!"
Baron Lawrence held her back, not letting her buy the tickets, "No, pick another one."
"I’ll buy the tickets myself!" Enna Clark reached for money to buy the tickets.
Baron Lawrence directly snatched her money away, like a robber, and put it in his own pocket, expressionlessly refusing, "I said no, it’s no. You buying the tickets is also a no."
"Why?" Enna Clark grumbled, almost not wanting to watch anything anymore, pouting.
Baron Lawrence glanced at the main cast list above, memorized the name of that male actor, and directly told the ticket lady, "Give me tickets for the movie below that one, two tickets, VIP seats."
Enna Clark was still protesting, "I don’t want to see the movie below, I want to watch the one with Holden Blackwell. It looks like it’ll be better." When she was in school, she quite liked that idol, and now that she’s finally out watching a movie, she naturally wanted to see one starring an idol she used to like.
Dammit! She even said it’s true!
Baron Lawrence’s gaze was fierce, desperately suppressing the frustration in his chest, he threatened through clenched teeth, "If you want him to be blacklisted, keep it up!"
