I Am the Fated Villain

Chapter 1665

Chapter 1665. Daoist forces of Xiyuan Civilization

“We hope you will not reject our request.”

In his words, the leaders of the various Daoist factions present were stunned. They looked on in shock and disbelief.

Even Xiyuan’s Saintess, who was making her way here, furrowed her brows slightly, not fully believing what she was hearing.

Had it not been for encountering these two midway and sensing they were from beyond the vast wilderness, she might have suspected they were planted by Gu Changge himself.

To speak of joining the Destroy Heaven Alliance in front of all these guests was practically a slap to everyone’s face.

“Well said, discussing the grand plan of destroying the heavens. The Destroy Heaven Alliance is indeed in need of wise individuals like you. How could we possibly reject your joining?”

Gu Changge smiled slightly upon hearing this. He knew that these two had other intentions for seeking him out, but it was inconvenient for them to voice those intentions in front of everyone. However, the Destroy Heaven Alliance did indeed need such powerful figures in the Dao Realm to serve as its foundation.

“Haha, wonderful! When I met the two of you, I felt an immediate affinity. Indeed, we are like-minded. With your help, the Destroy Heaven Alliance will only grow stronger,” Jing Tianyuan laughed heartily, overjoyed.

The leaders of the Destroy Heaven Alliance, including Zixiao Mountain’s leader Zi Wanhe and the former champion of Xianchu Haotu, Chu Heng, all wore smiles. They could see that these two individuals were immensely powerful, far surpassing ordinary Dao Realm existences.

The growth of the Destroy Heaven Alliance was clear to everyone, and in this current situation, having two Dao Realm figures join could only be seen as a tremendous advantage. But this only made the leaders of various Daoist factions feel uneasy, their faces full of disbelief.

Could the Destroy Heaven Alliance really wield such power? Was its reputation and influence so great that it could attract individuals of such caliber?

“We, the Destroy Heaven Alliance, adhere to the ways of humanity and support the worlds. Many ancient civilizations and True Realms have already submitted to our cause, voluntarily joining the Destroy Heaven Alliance and offering their strength for the future grand plan,” Emperor Kun of the Demon Court spoke, his voice resonating with authority.

“Please, don’t worry too much, my friends. The speed at which the Demon Court has expanded and developed since joining the Destroy Heaven Alliance is evident. Reviving the once glorious era of the Ten Thousand Clans coming to pay tribute is not impossible.”

“Joining the Destroy Heaven Alliance and forming an alliance will be beneficial for all Daoist factions, with no disadvantages,” Emperor Kun added, surveying the crowd with a gaze that seemed to see through their thoughts.

The Daoist factions gathered here today included major and immortal-level factions like Guangming Temple and the Buddha Kingdom of the Tathagata, which had many Dao Realm figures in place.

But there were also smaller forces like Tuoyang Mountain, which had no Dao Realm protectors of their own and had lived cautiously in the gaps between major factions, struggling to survive and grow.

The rapid expansion of the Destroy Heaven Alliance and its aggressive absorption of surrounding factions had put them in a precarious position, prompting them to seek a solution through this gathering.

Although Emperor Kun’s words were somewhat exaggerated, it was nearly impossible for the Demon Court to replicate the grandeur of the ancient times. However, the Demon Court’s integration into the Destroy Heaven Alliance over the years had indeed resulted in rapid development. With such a powerful entity as the Destroy Heaven Alliance behind them, the ancient and massive demon factions of the Endless Demon Domain gradually submitted.

As the saying goes, beneath a big tree, it’s easy to enjoy the shade.

If there were no other options, joining the Destroy Heaven Alliance might have been the only choice. Many cultivators present were visibly torn, their expressions showing signs of being swayed by Emperor Kun’s words.

A few leaders of immortal Daoist sects exchanged looks, then stepped forward, coldly stating,

“Enough with these empty words. You’re no different from the rest of them. The Destroy Heaven Alliance is simply trying to gradually devour and unify the Xiyuan Civilization. Don’t try to deceive us with these grandiose reasons.”

“The fall of Xianchu Haotu is a perfect example. Do you think we don’t see? The fall of Xianchu Haotu—surely everyone here can see the cause of it.”

“We’ve come here today to stop all of this. Since the beginning of Xiyuan Civilization, it has survived countless calamities. Various races and sects have flourished, accumulating their strength, and have lived without interfering with each other. But the arrival of the Destroy Heaven Alliance has shattered this balance. If the next great calamity arrives, the first to be held accountable will be the Destroy Heaven Alliance. If you wish to accompany them to destruction, we want no part of it.”

“To speak of ‘Destroy Heaven’ so casually—are you not afraid of the retribution that comes with it? Do you truly think you can avoid the boundless consequences?”

These were the words of several Daoist sect leaders with deep cultivation.

Among them were even figures from the Dao Realm, their faces covered in a mist of the Dao, their eyes glowing with cosmic visions like sinking stars, waning moons, and broken rivers. The immense pressure from their auras caused the surrounding cultivators to tremble.

When these figures spoke, the rest of the cultivators and beings in the area felt a sense of relief, as if the situation wasn’t as dire as they had feared. It seemed that the various Daoist forces of Xiyuan Civilization had been resisting the Destroy Heaven Alliance for a long time, and they would not let its ambitions come to fruition.

“You are truly foolish,” a voice rang out, bitterly mocking. “When the calamity arrives, the retribution will be upon all worlds. No civilization or True Realm will escape. Your courage and hearts are weaker than even those new True Realms’ Destroy Heavens, who still have the courage to fight, even if they burn themselves like moths to a flame.”

“You have cultivated for centuries, millennia, yet when the great calamity comes, all you can do is hide in fear. What else can you do?”

Hearing this, Jing Tianyuan snorted coldly and glanced at the Daoist sect leaders with disdain.

However, these sect leaders remained calm, their expressions unchanged. They knew the consequences of the phrase ‘Destroy Heaven’ all too well. Moreover, they didn’t believe the Destroy Heaven Alliance truly had the ideals it claimed.

“‘Destroy Heaven,’ such a foolish name. It is nothing more than a group of arrogant ants. The calamity will only target the new True Realms and the ancient ones, not Xiyuan Civilization. As a supreme True Realm, Xiyuan Civilization has long transcended such threats. This has been the agreement since ancient times. Jing Lao, as an elder, surely knows this?”

“The Destroy Heaven Alliance dares to challenge the heavens and speak of ‘Destroy Heaven.’ It has already broken a major taboo. Sooner or later, it will face retribution. If the existence of the Destroy Heaven Alliance causes Xiyuan Civilization to be dragged into the calamity, then it will be the eternal sinner.”

“The vast ocean flows, from ancient times to the present; in our eyes, all of this is but a fleeting moment. Life is but a great empty dream. Only the Dao is eternal, the highest pursuit of our kind.”

“The vast and boundless universe, countless realms, how many lives are destroyed in the blink of an eye? The retribution of the calamity is the eternal law of the heavens. Those who serve the heavens recognize their destiny, while those who destroy the heavens are abandoned by it.”

“Leader of the Destroy Heaven Alliance, do you not know this?”

The figures swept over Jing Tianyuan, Emperor Kun, Zi Wanhe, the old Daoist, and the others before their gazes finally fixed on Gu Changge, as if they were trying to pressure him.

“Since you all have already made up your minds, why bother asking me?”

“The Destroy Heaven Alliance has its own principles. If you believe in them, then good; if not, that’s your choice.”

Gu Changge smiled faintly, not avoiding their gazes. His eyes were calm and indifferent, showing no signs of wavering.

“Hmph, I just wonder what the relationship is between the Heaven-Slaying Alliance and the ancient Tian organization that once wreaked havoc on the vast world?”

A Supreme Elder-level figure who had just spoken stared directly at Gu Changge, his eyes swirling with chaos, releasing a faint chaotic aura, and snorted coldly.

Anyone who knew of the ancient existence of the Tian organization was generally familiar with the Black Calamity era, understanding that the roots of everything stemmed from the original Tian organization. Even after the demise of the Black Calamity era, the remaining remnants of the Black Calamity were essentially former members of the Tian organization.

The Lord of Tian established the Tian organization, attempting to override the authority of the Heavenly Dao and act in the name of Tian. Now, Gu Changge had established the Heaven-Slaying Alliance, which, although claiming to uphold the righteousness of human dao, essentially aimed to control the Heavenly Dao’s authority just like the original Tian organization.

In the eyes of these ancient beings, no matter how much the Heaven-Slaying Alliance was praised, it was no different from the Tian organization that once wreaked havoc across the vast world.

The cultivators and beings in this place, although not truly understanding the origin of the Tian organization, knew of its terrifying nature and were aware that the Black Calamity era emerged from it. They also knew the dark blood era, the vast world turmoil, and other terrifying events were all closely related to this organization.

Even now, the Black Calamity remnants that the world of the vast realm feared could be traced back to the Tian organization’s remnants.

Before this, some cultivators had speculated that Gu Changge was related to the remnants of the Tian organization, thinking he might be attempting to restore the organization. However, no one dared to say it aloud.

Now, this Supreme Elder openly asked in front of everyone, causing everyone to tremble. Many of them stared at Gu Changge, trying to observe any change in his expression.

“The Tian organization is the Tian organization, and the Heaven-Slaying Alliance is the Heaven-Slaying Alliance. How can they be confused with each other?” Gu Changge smiled lightly.

“Our Heaven-Slaying Alliance supports human dao, establishes the great aspirations of all living beings, and wishes for peace and harmony in the vast world, free from war, strife, and the suffering of tribulations. How is it that in your eyes, we have become the irredeemable criminals?”

“Absurd, when did a tumor start calling itself a savior? Truly laughable.”

“The world is blind, but you think we don’t know your true intentions?”

The Supreme Elders sneered coldly, their gazes frosty, and chaotic light flickered in their eyes. As they opened and closed their eyes, a sense of destruction flowed through.

“Preposterous, how dare you question the leader? You think you can just challenge us repeatedly today?”

Upon hearing this, several figures from the Heaven-Slaying Alliance strode forward, their faces cold, exuding terrifying energy, confronting these Supreme Elders.

“Step back. Since we are guests today, we shall follow the host’s rules.”

Gu Changge waved his hand gently, his gaze sweeping over the Supreme Elders and then toward the depths of the Yuxian Palace.

“Miss Yuling, as the host, we have been waiting like this, yet you are merely spectating. Isn’t this a bit unreasonable?” he said with a light laugh. As Gu Changge’s words fell, a beam of divine light shot out from his fingers, heading toward that area.

Originally, the Yuxian Palace deep within the mists, where chaotic energy swirled and seemed like a primordial realm of the creation of the heavens, suddenly saw a pure, pristine divine glow emerge. Threads of light, thousands upon thousands, gathered together to form an ocean-like expanse, separating the blurred boundaries of the region.

In the midst of this, an ethereal and elegant figure appeared. She stood on the edge of a towering cliff, impossibly beautiful and graceful.

Around her, celestial mist and Dao rhythm flowed, her flawless snow-white robes pure and immaculate, her dark hair flowing, half-veiling her jade-like face. She seemed as though she might fly away with the wind to the immortal realms above, heading for the Nine Heavens’ celestial palaces.
