My CEO Husband Has Some Issues

Chapter 2165 - 2167: Jiang Nuan vs. Fu Yi

Chapter 2165: Chapter 2167: Jiang Nuan vs. Fu Yi

Just like her, there was another person who hadn’t slept all night. Fu Yi held onto his phone throughout the night, waiting in vain for a call from Jiang Nuan.

At one point, he doubted the signal in Mahali, and in the latter half of the night, he went outside to look for a signal. Nearly catching a cold, he returned, but the phone signal was full, yet there was no activity.

In the morning, Yi Hengjian called him, saying there was a project back home that required his presence, so Fu Yi had no choice but to head to the airport for a temporary trip back to Capital City.

For an entire week, Jiang Nuan’s life was as calm as water.

Lemon took on a divorce case involving a tycoon and a starlet, so busy that she had no time for gossip. Even the neighbor living opposite her seemed to have quieted down suddenly and hadn’t shown up again.

As for the missed call that was bothering her, she mulled over it for a night but couldn’t decide what to say if she called back. She dragged it out for a week, and now she regretted it as it was too late. More than a week had passed, and it wouldn’t be good to call back and ask what the call was about. Fu Yi would think she had something wrong with her mind!

The day was filled with fluffy clouds and cool weather. Jiang Nuan was rarely off work and thought it seemed like a long time since she had taken the dog out for a walk, so she voluntarily went over and knocked on the door opposite.

Passing by the small garden, she couldn’t help but glance around the neighbor’s bizarrely matched vegetable patch. The baby cabbages were spreading their tender leaves, growing beautifully.

A circle of green onions was planted next to them, economically practical.

Beside this ’practical’ vegetable patch was a redwood stand with four pots of expensive orchids casually placed on it.

When Jiang Nuan’s eyes drifted to the orchids, she froze for a moment, revealing a surprised expression.

It’s blooming?

The orchids on the opposite side were growing vibrantly. A small white flower perched among the lush green leaves, swaying in the sunlight, and the tiny flower was endearingly charming.

"Miss Susan?"

The door was still opened by the Filipina maid, who looked delighted to see her. "Come in and sit. I’ll make you some coffee."

Jiang Nuan waved her hand, "No need, I’m here to take Little... Nuan Tuan for a walk." She almost blurted out Little Potato!

It’s all the neighbor’s fault for giving it a name like Nuan Tuan and for loving to call the dog Nuannuan, causing her and the dog to have the same name, yet it’s awkward to mention it.

"Woof!"

Maybe it heard her voice, as a yellow flash darted out from behind the door, immediately running to her feet, wagging its tail vigorously to greet her.

Jiang Nuan lovingly squatted down and patted its head, "Long time no see, Little Nuan Tuan."

"Woof woof woof!" The dog loved being petted, and it liked Jiang Nuan even more, barking happily and jumping around, eager to run outside.

Jiang Nuan watched it run off and stood up.

The Filipina maid also saw the jumping Corgi and laughed, "The gentleman has been away from home lately. It hasn’t gone out to play for a long time, so it’s thrilled to see you. I don’t know how this dog is so smart to know you’re going to take it out to play."

Jiang Nuan gazed at the little dog not far away, feeling in a rare good mood. "People say dogs have the intelligence of a three-year-old child. Maybe it remembers me."

"Every time you come, you take it out and buy it tasty snacks. It definitely won’t forget you, but it will trouble you again, Miss Susan." The Filipina maid teasingly looked at the dog and thanked her.

Jiang Nuan had already changed into her exercise clothes for the walk, and her gaze swept into the house with a doubtful expression, "Has the neighbor gone on a long trip?"

If so, they might not come back to live here again, as the Filipina maid had mentioned that the person was in Mahali for recuperation.
