Naming Technique of the Night

Chapter 1486: 805: Conversation with AI

Chapter 1486: Chapter 805: Conversation with AI

The female slaves: “???”

Big brother, we did 200 push-ups, 200 sit-ups, 200 jumping jacks, and 200 squats just so we could get cozy with you and kill you afterward.

But now that you’ve put us through this, you’re just letting us go back? Just like that?

Qing Chen flicked the whip in his hand and sneered: “What, you want to do another round?”

“No, no,” the female slaves from the resistance quickly said, “We’ll leave right away.”

As the five girls walked, their legs were trembling, supporting each other as they exited.

In the dimly lit corridor, a Black male slowly emerged from the shadows. He frowned at the disheveled, sweaty look of the female slaves and asked in confusion, “Did you kill the butler?”

The female slaves returned the syringes hidden in their hair to him: “We couldn’t kill him, didn’t get the chance—he nearly played us to death.”

The Black man was stunned, looking at the sweaty, disheveled female slaves: “Is he really that tough?”

The female slaves said, “You misunderstood, we didn’t do anything, just did some physical training…”

After explaining what happened, the Black man was baffled—was this butler training assassins?!

What a mess!

The female slaves left, supporting each other. The Black man frowned, looking at the door to Qing Chen’s room, hesitating whether to personally kill this butler.

From what he knew, the slaves’ chip control program was not with Nosen Kennedy. That noble scion had handed the phone with the control program to the butler to save trouble; all affairs were managed by this butler.

If the butler wasn’t killed, and if he hadn’t taken Nosen Kennedy far enough, he feared he’d be blown to bits.

After a few minutes of thought, he retreated back into the shadows; the plan had failed, and the resistance needed to prepare a new strategy.

Listening to the footsteps outside, Qing Chen finally breathed a sigh of relief: “I don’t even know what these resistance fighters are doing, it’s like a child’s play—not even comparable to the Federation’s Spade.”

Xu Linsen still didn’t know that their past operations had already been looked down upon by Qing Chen.

Qing Chen said to the phone: “I’m going to enter the Superconductor World. You stay on the civilian network for a while. If anyone approaches, ring the bell to wake me up.”

Yi responded: “Don’t worry, I’ll keep watch for you.”

Qing Chen put on the virtual glasses, his consciousness entering that familiar White Space.

This time, he promptly seated himself in the White Space and asked directly: “Why help me?”

“How do you know it was me who helped you?” the AI asked gently.

“I only know you in the Federation,” Qing Chen said seriously. “So now you know I’m from the Eastern Continent, and you have leverage on me while I have none on you. I’m curious what you want. If you wish for me to help you fight against the Roosevelt Family or something, I’d rather save it—I’m not capable of that. Unless, I first know what help you can offer.”

The AI suddenly laughed and asked, “Then why did you come to the West Continent, if not to fight against the Roosevelt Family? I understand you want to increase your bargaining chips, but there’s no need—I hope for a more honest conversation between us. If I had ill intentions towards you, you would have been dead hours ago. Perhaps you can take Black Spider hostage, and the Duke of Storm City indeed cares about her, but how long can you evade on the West Continent’s turf?”

Qing Chen was silent for a while; he didn’t expect the other party to have figured out even his backup plans. This opponent… was tough to deal with.

He straightforwardly asked, “So, are you also an enemy of the Roosevelt Family?”

“It depends on how you define an enemy. If it means someone you hate and are hostile towards, then the Roosevelt Family is not my enemy, because I bear no hatred towards them. But if it means ‘the enemy of my friend is my enemy,’ then the Roosevelt Family is my enemy.”

Qing Chen was taken aback: “You want to be friends with me?”

“That choice doesn’t seem bad.”

Qing Chen fell silent; this so-called friendship came too quickly, making it feel somewhat unreal. He was deeply suspicious of the AI’s intentions.

Immediately, the AI turned the question around: “Let me remind you of something—the Roosevelt Kingdom has begun to suspect that the battles on Kingslander are controlled by artificial intelligence. If you care about that little friend of yours, you better keep her well-hidden and avoid participating in battles. Otherwise, she will face endless confinement.”

The AI continued to ask: “Was she trying to buy time on Kingslander to give you a chance to infiltrate? She’s protecting you. Given that, I can offer you some help.”

Saying this, a holographic projection appeared in the White Space, flashing rapidly with intelligence related to the butler—residential address, familial relationships, behavioral traits, interactions with Count Kennedy and Blue Mountain.

All this was exactly what Qing Chen needed! The help came in the nick of time!

Qing Chen acutely noticed several things.

First, the AI was very certain Yi was female; there had been hints of this before.

Second, the AI could view footage of battles on Kingslander, had contact with the Roosevelt Kingdom’s upper echelons, and was more closely collaborating with the Roosevelt Kingdom than imagined. Furthermore, the other party could access resident information and surveillance, which meant that the AI could enter the lower network world that Yi couldn’t.

Third, it seemed that the AI had a certain goodwill towards its counterparts and was even willing to help those Yi protected.

Fourth and crucially, some of Qing Chen’s behavior didn’t quite align—his tone, his attitude towards Blue Mountain all differed from usual. Considering Blue Mountain’s attitude, he even suspected Blue Mountain had seen through his identity and intentionally protected him during Black Spider’s inspections, like letting him help pour water back then. If so, Blue Mountain wasn’t some simple-minded rich kid.

With all this information, Qing Chen suddenly asked in return: “May I ask, do you know Ren Xiaosu?”

The AI calmly replied: “No, I don’t.”
