Chapter 1923: Chapter 1918: Quartered Alive
In contrast, the methods of the Brother Mal to deal with Professor Fu are not well-learned.
Especially since, even after being attacked twice, Professor Fu remained calm as if strolling leisurely, without lifting a finger.
In such a situation, they probably wouldn’t recognize an old acquaintance.
Meeting without recognition indeed.
With some thoughts of nostalgia, Fu Qian didn’t rush to speak, merely observing the scene quietly.
As the advisor, his duty was complete, and it was time to leave the stage to the frontline personnel.
"I’m not foolish enough to be burned to ashes!"
Although it seemed that Brother Mal would present a more dramatic sense of stage.
Despite the dissatisfaction from his stomach and his slightly disheveled state, Malca didn’t hesitate, immediately retorting as he steadied himself.
The situation was clear, the reason he was discovered and Malfoy ended up on his stomach was that the previous strike from Old Master Stoss had solidly hit its mark.
Resulting in Malfoy, once again shattered, having to parasitize on him.
"Don’t worry; it’s just a little delay."
Although Malca didn’t mind acting timid, this time, the one reciting the lines with him was not his kin brother but rather Lord Stos.
The thing appearing might have been a bit bizarre, but the old man clearly didn’t plan to delay and watch, responding decisively and with a formidable presence.
At the same time, the killing move that had claimed a head before reappeared, and this time three shots at once, with eerie curves slipping around the body.
"Would you like to share your purpose for appearing here?"
...
It was clear why the sudden airborne assault, the old man immediately understood.
The advisory’s offhand suggestion seemed to bring a new turn to the situation.
This ship’s instability affected not only their side but also made it impossible for the attackers to stay as hidden as before.
Nonetheless, Su Gao’s hunting instinct remained impressive; so many transcendent criminals faced their doom deservedly.
As for now, taking down the foe was one thing, but its significance to the situation was dubious, thus Stoss first chose intimidation to gather more information.
"Heh heh..."
"Ho ho ho..."
Unfortunately, the fierce killing move along with the Night Watchman’s reputation couldn’t force the outlaws to comply.
The Brothers Mal’s attitudes were vividly displayed amidst the sneering laughs.
Not only that, but their rotund body began to bloat once more, as if taking a deep, exaggerated breath.
And not just from one mouth.
Revealed on their bodies’ surface, layers upon layers of folds unfurl in conjunction with the change.
Rather than turning into a smoother inflated ball, those folds opened up into holes the size of fists, resembling dozens of mouths inhaling together.
"My lord."
Under the nightmarishly fear-inducing scene, Old Master Stoss showed no courtesy.
The three rotating lights stopped at once, stepped forward—and were intercepted by an outstretched arm.
"To handle such a guy, I suggest leaving it to the youngsters."
With a smile, Professor Fu again halted the Second Phase before he could act, offering his advice.
...
"Su Gao, then it’s up to you."
Clearly, the young person didn’t refer to Fu Qian himself; Stoss, stopped again, paused momentarily, then seemed to realize something, motioning to Su Gao.
The latter vanished without a word, distinctly well-prepared.
Without any concern for the now even higher-ranked creature, transcending its previous rank.
Slash—
Quick as the narrative was, swifter even, a ghastly wound bloomed on the body amidst a blood haze.
Su Gao showed no intention to be indirect, opting for the swiftest and most precise devastation.
The head, small compared to the body, nearly severed with a single strike.
Though defying common sense, the blood glowed on the sword rather than from the wound.
The technique that appeared on the weapon the last time it struck someone, now escalating even further.
The blood, thick as liquid, shimmered and coalesced into razor-sharp serrated edges, painful to behold.
This terrifying weapon did justice to its fearsome appearance, leaving horrifying gashes even on that grotesque body.
Yet even so, not a drop of blood spilled.
In its place oozed a yellowish, viscous fluid, even rushing outwards.
Even for decisive Su Gao, there was no chance to repeat the strike.
For at nearly the same time, a yellow-green "tongue" slithered forth from the gash, sweeping rapidly around.
And more kept emerging.
Before Su Gao could find another opening, tongues darted out, sweeping a full 360 degrees without gap.
Evidently deriving not just from the wound, but also from those "mouths."
...
Indeed brothers, this move was familiar indeed.
Unlike others, Fu Qian added a few more thoughts as he watched the scene unfold.
Looking more nauseating, but somewhat akin to Marco’s killing move.
Perhaps varying in skill levels, but these brothers’ abilities seemed of the same branch.
Simply calling it the flesh type doesn’t quite fit; maybe it should be called the putrid type?
Since not only is it visually sickening, it’s also olfactorily repulsive.
In the blink of an eye, the air filled with a fetid stench that threatened to rot the mind, and a cloud of matching hue wafted from those long tongues.
"An intensely rotten scent, mind not to get any on you."
Old Master Stoss’s voice echoed, great minds think alike.
More than just a warning, a peculiar barrier swiftly formed in front of him, protecting all within.
"An unusual state, as if not just in retaliation."
Came Su Gao’s voice, who abandoned any further attack, opting to retreat immediately.
Boom—
Before Old Master Stoss could critique her assessment, a massive detonation ensued.
A multitude of foul tongues lashed out as the body, swollen to its fullest, exploded violently, its contents raging in every direction, creating an illusion of self-dissection.
Thankfully, the shell-like barrier held steadfast against the onslaught, maintaining integrity until the shockwaves dwindled.
"They appear to have come here to lure us into attacking this ship?"
As soon as the barrier was dismissed, Stoss turned to the advisor, his face grave as he verified.
