Chapter 395 - 32: The Remaining Image

Chapter 395: Chapter 32: The Remaining Image

Lynch went over to take a look and saw a device resembling a compass lying horizontally on the table, densely engraved with runes whose purpose was unknown.

Neither could Yikarsha’s knowledge identify the true nature of the device, so she asked, “Do you know what this is for?”

Lynch carefully examined it.

“Hmm…”

He hesitated, somewhat uncertain, and said, “It looks like some sort of device similar to a Memory Crystal, likely capable of storing video and audio… Look here, a Sound Recording Crystal and a Mirror Shadow Gem.”

Although it was his first time seeing this device, he managed to roughly guess its usage from some of the materials it was made of.

Kalsa asked in confusion, “Is it really?”

She appeared to be somewhat skeptical of Lynch’s words.

Lynch did not continue to explain but instead started to fiddle with the device before him, and after some tinkering, he quickly understood its working mechanism.

It wasn’t any particularly complex technique, and for him, proficient in alchemy techniques, it was an easy task.

Gently touching the runes on the surface, Lynch activated it swiftly.

The sphere at the center of the compass opened to the side, and a beam of light shot straight upwards, forming a light screen of approximately half a meter in diameter in midair, with some blurry images gradually becoming clear on it.

Kalsa’s eyes showed clear surprise, “You actually guessed right!”

She found it increasingly difficult to understand the mysterious wizard before her. Most wizards typically focus deeply on a particular school of spells, accumulating all their knowledge related to that school, just like her specialization in the Ice element.

From the information available to her, this guardian of Feiyan City seemed to be like a magical encyclopedia.

The series of extraordinary organizations in Feiyan City was all pioneered by him alone, encompassing alchemy, Magic Plants, Spirit, and even touching upon the mysterious faith system.

As a fellow wizard, Kalsa found this scene incredible.

A wizard’s time and energy are quite valuable, and normally, no wizard manages to master so much content, leaving people questioning how he did it.

Lynch shrugged, “Just happened to see it in an ancient book.”

He paused, then added, “Alright, let’s see what content the owner of this device left for us.”

After a short wait, the picture on the light screen became clear.

Then a sound also came out of the device.

It was over a vast forest, where a young man dressed as a wizard was riding a giant dragon soaring in the sky.

Judging by the skeletal shape of the dragon, it was clearly the Bone Dragon Trans that Lynch and the others had just defeated, though back then, it was obviously much younger, and its frame was only a few tens of meters large, seemingly still a young dragon.

The young wizard was riding Trans through the clouds and laughing heartily, “Aha, Trans, well done, you’re finally flying.”

“Come on, darling, fly higher, let us cross the clouds to Sky City, to Visnate.”

The screen gradually blurred, and then an elderly figure emerged from the image, appearing to be the same young man now aged.

The old man gazed ahead, looking desolate and weary, “Our war failed.”

“No one can stop that monster Nicholas. We created such a being with our own hands, which should have been a source of pride, but now he intends to send us to our graves…”

“I have a hunch that the wizards of the Eternal Tower won’t sit idly by. Even though we all know no one can defeat Nicholas, they won’t accept destruction willingly, and will surely try some way.”

“Even if the cost might be mutual destruction.”

“I want to leave this place, but the research in the Dragon Domain is at a critical stage, and Trans cannot leave the nest now either.”

“There’s no choice but for me to head to Visnate alone.”

“I must go there; I still need enough space knowledge to complete my research.”

“I hope I can finish it before the destruction arrives, granting Trans spatial energy, so that even traversing the void would no longer be impossible, and then we can leave here together.”

“But the current situation is not ideal. Without Trans’s help, I don’t know if I can successfully reach Visnate and come back…”

“If I don’t return, I hope some stranger wizard who comes here might help me continue to take care of Trans. He’s a very good child and won’t cause trouble.”

“Additionally…”

“I also hope you can continue my research, perfecting the final space series. I put it behind this image, and it could greatly change our civilization.”

“The Wizard Civilization shouldn’t be confined to this small world. We’ve all gone down the wrong path, investing energy in internal strife.”

“Regrettable, lamentable.”

The image ended here.

It seemed to be a monologue diary left by some wizard?

The image flickered, followed by runes, arrays, formulas, and so forth, which appeared to be a complete magic knowledge system.

Kalsa questioned in bewilderment, “What is this?”

The content was written in ancient Wizard Language, the same as the fragmented knowledge found in the Underground City, a rune language that few people mastered. Kalsa, of course, was unable to interpret it.

Lynch stroked his chin, leaned in, and explained, “A heritage of space system magic knowledge.”

There was a significant gleam of excitement in his eyes.

The magic knowledge before them was quite similar to the space knowledge he had unearthed from the Underground City, yet fundamentally different in their research directions.

The space knowledge from the Underground City pertains to planar knowledge, like Lynch’s current spatial coordinates acting on this Wizard World, allowing for spatial teleportation only within this material plane.

But this space knowledge here was different, focusing on beyond this plane.

This relates to something every Wizard Domain and Wizard Organization in the world has been curious about and eagerly researching—

The Void!

Lynch curved his lips into a smile, “It seems we’ve discovered something interesting this time!”
