Chapter 482: Chapter 14: Astonished
Lynch politely greeted, “Long time no see, Witch Kalsa, I’ve arrived at the coordinates you gave.”
Kalsa’s gaze swept over the surroundings around Lynch.
“Look here!”
A voice echoed from afar.
Lynch looked in that direction and saw a layer of frost mist suddenly envelop a ruin, and from within the mist, a figure emerged.
It was none other than the image from the Crystal Ball, Kalsa.
Lynch put away the Crystal Ball and stepped forward, “Long time no see, Witch Kalsa.”
Kalsa nodded slightly, “Long time no see, Saphieros Wizard.”
As she spoke, her gaze lingered briefly on Lynch, her brows lightly furrowed.
She asked in surprise, “You… made a breakthrough?”
Although Lynch concealed it well, Kalsa could still keenly perceive some changes in his spiritual power.
Lynch nodded slightly, “I made some progress.”
Despite Lynch’s casual tone, Kalsa couldn’t help but show a look of astonishment.
The first time they met, Lynch was only in the Early Stage of Mystical Level, having just opened the second Mystical Circuit.
The second meeting was when they cooperated to defeat the Bone Dragon, and she felt Lynch’s strength had evidently improved since then.
By the third meeting, when Lynch toppled the Dark Moon Church, although she didn’t participate directly, she witnessed the process. By then, Lynch had officially reached the Middle Stage of Mystical Level.
And now, it’s their fourth meeting.
Each meeting has seen Lynch’s strength visibly enhance. How many times has he advanced in just a few dozen years?
Considering the difficulty of the Wizard’s Road, each small step requires breaking through numerous obstacles, likened to water dripping onto a stone until it breaks.
Normal Mystical Wizards find it remarkable to break even one obstacle, or open one Mystical Circuit, in several decades.
But Lynch?
Kalsa couldn’t determine Lynch’s current strength but sensed from the spiritual power that he might be nearing the Late-stage Mystical Level.
A few decades from the Early Stage to Late-stage, spanning a major tier, it’s simply incredible.
Kalsa sighed, “Saphieros Wizard’s talent is unbelievable; I fear in a few years, a new master of Jade Land will emerge.”
Lynch naturally understood Kalsa’s unspoken concerns.
He said, “Feiyan City and Witch Castle are allies, now and in the future. Our growth will benefit each other, and Feiyan City won’t forget the help Witch Castle has provided us.”
Nothing is settled yet, at least not until advancing to Third Tier, when allies must be gathered instead of making enemies.
Upon hearing this, Kalsa’s expression improved somewhat.
She nodded, “I hope Wizard Lynch remembers these words today. Come on, let’s go down.”
Following Kalsa, the two proceeded forward.
The meeting Kalsa arranged for Lynch today was primarily because this place is a marketplace.
Not a marketplace for apprentice levels, but one targeting Wizards and above, where materials needed for Wizard Level and even Mystical Level can be purchased.
Lynch’s cultivation relevant to the secret skill levels is nearing completion, and he is about ready to prepare for advancement to the third stage.
Advancing Third Tier in Mystical Level is no easier than apprentices advancing to Wizards or Wizards to Mystical Levels; it’s even harder. It requires numerous materials, Magic Potions to aid breakthroughs, plus specific knowledge for breakthroughs.
Although through the system panel he doesn’t face the usual hurdles other wizards do, some tasks remain after advancing to Third Tier, such as stabilizing the Domain.
After advancing Third Tier, a Wizard’s Domain forms, but the newly formed Domain isn’t under the Wizard’s control; anything within their area will be engulfed by the Wizard Domain, erasing all.
If one doesn’t want to be isolated in barren wilderness, they must retract their Domain, which requires many materials for assistance. It’s one of Lynch’s main reasons for coming here.
“Clop, clop, clop!”
Footsteps echoed across the desolate wilderness as Lynch and Kalsa walked side by side.
Lynch turned his head to look around the barren land and asked, “Is the marketplace held here?”
The surroundings don’t seem inhabited, nor can he sense any spiritual power fluctuations.
Kalsa nodded, “Yes, you’ll understand soon.”
Upon hearing this, Lynch said no more.
Before coming here, Kalsa had specifically introduced him to the arrangement, where Jade Land’s wizards hold a meeting every five years, inviting figures of Wizard Level and above to attend.
Since Lynch is a foreign wizard and originally had little influence, he hadn’t been informed of this meeting. Although his power expanded these years, it inevitably made old forces like Pure White Tower uncomfortable, so he wasn’t invited.
Since this year, Jade Land’s eight prominent forces wanted to connect with him, Kalsa was purposely sent to invite Lynch to this meeting.
Actually, Lynch didn’t plan to attend. Since he had connections with Fran, he could obtain materials for the third stage from Fran, but reconsidering, he changed his mind.
While Fran could provide the needed materials, they’re not free. Business is business, and despite cooperation for years, Lynch doesn’t dare say he’s friends with that Fatty Seren.
The higher the value of the materials, the greater the cost. Reaching the Third Tier advancement wouldn’t come cheap.
Spending Magic Stones and resources would be acceptable, but the other side might also impose harsh conditions like establishing a Wizard Tower within his Witch Domain or interfering with the rules within his Domain.
One should always leave room for negotiation, have a backup plan here, and eventually, even when negotiating with Fran, there would be extra leverage, wouldn’t it?
Soon, Kalsa led Lynch to a door.
A lone wooden door stood amid the ruins, surrounded by broken bricks and rubble, appearing particularly conspicuous.
Kalsa approached, raising her hand to push the wooden door.
“Creak…” a decaying sound.
The wooden door slowly opened, and in the next moment, a bizarre and fantastic scene appeared before Lynch’s eyes…
