Chapter 389: Creation
Light clone Xiang Yu floated in the space inside his spiritual sea.
He looked around, thinking to himself that everything was progressing smoothly.
Before, his soul could expand about two meters of space every hour, but now this had increased by five times. He could now expand ten meters of space every hour.
He looked at the current genuine space and sighed. Even with this fast progress, he was still far from being able to create genuine space that could fit a star inside. At his current rate, in a full day, he would only make about two hundred meters of space. This was so much smaller compared to the thousands of miles he needed to create a star.
He shook his head and extended his hand forward. He thought to himself that as he did this more and more, his rate of establishing space should increase, and even more so after his soul breakthrough in two days.
On his outstretched palm, a ball of energy started to form.
Xiang Yu thought to himself that even so, he didn’t feel like waiting. He decided to test out creating stars. Of course, he wasn’t making genuine ones as he didn’t have the space, but he could at least make molds and study them. He felt that studying them might at least get him a step closer to what he was looking for.
After being immersed in the dark miasma for so long, he had figured out some things about it.
Before, he had thought that there was an absolute end concept and he could try to reverse engineer it to get to its extreme opposite concept that he had coined the absolute source. But after spending so much time in it, he had come to realize that there wasn’t actually an extreme opposite.
Rather, it was all the same concept. Similar to how both yin and yang, considered extreme opposites, were still the same yin-yang concept.
Xiang Yu wondered how such a concept came to be in his body.
After much thought, he ended up at the same conclusion as before, it had something to do with the system. Before, he had assumed that it was surrounding his spiritual sea to protect him from being possessed, but it seemed that wasn’t the case. It was just a coincidence that it could protect him from being taken over.
He theorized that the system functioned under the absolute source concept.
The absolute end concept focused on turning everything into nothingness, and the absolute source was about creating things out of nothing. Just like how the system created exp out of nothing.
Although he technically had to have something for it to double, this was just a basic requirement. In reality, the doubled exp had nothing to do with his existing one, it was just created from nothing and matched his existing exp.
Now it made sense why the absolute end concept was inside him.
It was because he had the absolute source. The two were two sides of the same coin, so having one meant having the other. But how was he supposed to discover the other side of the concept if it was within his system?
It wasn’t like he could sense the system inside his body… or could he?
…
No, he couldn’t. So he decided to not think about it for now.
As the ball in his hand grew brighter and brighter as he infused more and more energy into it, he thought to himself that his plan was doomed from the start.
To get to the absolute source concept, he needed to create something out of nothing or glimpse it somehow, but how was he supposed to glimpse such an advanced concept, something that the system functioned through?
It seemed he was back to the drawing board once again, he thought.
Well, although he was back to the start in that aspect, there was something else he needed to work on.
Focusing on the energy ball in his hand, he began adding his domain energies into it. He began with void, then space, then time, then gravity, then chaos, then order, then the ten elements, then yin-yang. After that, he began compressing the entire thing. Continuously filling it with energy but condensing it more and more, it reached a point where he couldn’t compress it anymore and then – it exploded.
The light clone had his eyes peeled, observing and taking in everything that was happening even as the immense energy expanded. The last thing he saw was the giant wave of white light consuming everything, including him.
Main body Xiang Yu opened his eyes.
He smiled widely. This is it, finally, he thought. He opened his system screen and checked for changes.
[Creation: Domain (10/10,000)]
He smiled. The plan was a success, though he admitted that it was a little dangerous. Well, he should take the chance to finally upgrade the light clone. He waved his hand and a clone appeared next to him, this was the new research clone. A space portal appeared before it and it dove right in, returning to the spiritual sea.
Xiang Yu thought to himself that although his plan to get the absolute source concept had failed, he should at least be able to do something with creation.
He walked over to the spirit vein body. He thought to himself that unlike the absolute source concept, creation didn’t create things out of nothing but rather transformed states of matter to achieve creation.
It was the law by which professions such as alchemy and blacksmithing functioned.
The area before him suddenly split apart as roots of the spirit vein rose, holding hundreds of crystal formations.
Xiang Yu waved his hand and established the creation domain.
He smiled, thinking to himself that having this made things much easier. For crystal formation to form certain levels of spirit metal, there had to be enough spiritual energy as well as time for the crystal to transform and grow into the intended material.
But with his creation domain, he could bypass that time requirement completely and reshape the material manually. Although it needed very high understanding of metals to be able to properly emulate every possible stage of growth, it was nothing for Xiang Yu who had immortal grade blacksmithing.
He smiled. It was time to start mass producing immortal weapons.
