Chapter 419: Mind & Enlightenment [PART 2]

Xiang Yu thought to himself that the main issue with enlightenment was the mind.

Usually, when one is born with high level enlightenment, they already have the concepts in them naturally.

But for someone looking to upgrade their talent, they would need a high level mind to process all the incoming information.

Although he could make the enlightenment crystal, he didn’t think it would work at the moment.

In fact, it might even be harmful since many who needed it probably hadn’t entered that high mind realm yet. He needed a solution for this.

The more he thought about it, there was no way for this to work except for leveling up the mind.

But how was he supposed to level up the mind?

The only way was through diligent practice.

He wondered what he should do – he could just let the disciples practice the mind themselves until they were high enough level to then go inherit the enlightenment level. Or, alternatively, he could create a cheat for the mind too.

“Ah, why not,” he thought. All this research was helping him level up his Truth Seeker and enlightenment anyway.

After doing some research, he came up with a solution.

“It’s drugs.”

To be more precise, drugs that induce hallucinations.

The way the mind was leveled up was either by overcoming difficult situations, or reaffirming one’s heart essence like he did. The heart essence part was difficult since not many people had discovered their heart essence this early on, and reaffirming some strange beliefs that didn’t completely embody them might lead to complications in the future.

For him, it was easy as his heart’s desire was life. He simply wanted to live. Although much had changed, the primary goal was still the same. For others this might be difficult, so he decided to go with the first option, which was overcoming difficult situations.

Creating difficult situations was tricky because the mind wouldn’t level up if you knew it was a manufactured situation.

That’s why he turned to drugs.

He looked at the stalk lying on his palm. “The Dreamwalker’s Herb.” This was the name of the new herb he had created.

The herb was just like the name sounded – it would be refined into a reincarnation pill.

“I know, I’m running out of creative names, okay?”

The reincarnation pill would put someone in a state of deep sleep.

It would then hijack their mind, putting them in some hyper-realistic dream.

The pill would also block their memories, making them start out as a newborn in this new dream world.

In this dream, they could live life however they wanted. When they died, the dream would come to an end, and all the lessons they learned in that life could be used to enhance their mind and also help them narrow down their heart essence.

The more dreams one experienced, the more their mind would grow.

Although the herb had these effects, it was used alongside other unnamed herbs Xiang Yu had developed to make pills. The effects of the other herbs were to stabilize the effects of the pill and also for safety purposes.

First was to protect the user’s mind so they wouldn’t be overtaken by the other personality or lose their sense of self. Another was a herb imbued with time essence. This would help with time constraints, helping sell the illusion of long periods of time in just a short while.

The rest were a herb with a rebirth effect, and one with a healing effect.

This would put the mind in a state of constant healing where it doesn’t get fatigued and shut down. As for the rebirth effect, the mind might burn through all sorts of neurons when experiencing intense situations in the dream, so it was better to have this to keep it from aging and always stay fresh.

As he was thinking of this, he suddenly felt the world begin to shake.

That’s right, the entire star they were on was shaking.

Inside the castle, Xiang Yu looked at Li Yao. “Wife, calm down, what is happening?” he spoke in panic.

He thought to himself that although he had punished her a bit, there was no need to go so far, right?

“Calm down? How could I calm down when someone is clearly targeting what belongs to me?” she said, her aura flaring even more.

“Just calm down, no one wants…” Before he could finish, his battle simulation function detected something that made him freeze.

Quick clarification, I find myself using star quite often instead of planet. The thing is, when I say planet, I probably mean star. Even the world they live in is a star. I said before that it’s about the size of the sun right, then it can perform nuclear fusion, but instead of producing thermal energy, it produces qi. That’s how it’s habitable.
