Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 381: An Opportunity?

Chapter 381: An Opportunity?

“You’ve grown naive, Jashin,” Alcetas sighed. “What’s the use in resisting the inevitable? Do you think you can run away from Solenne?”

Rael ignored it and decided to sow a few seeds.

“You know, I had a vision after my soul was damaged. I was living with a hot milf, but after our third divorce, I drowned myself,” Rael said with a single tear in his eye. “But as you can tell, I didn’t die. Frankly, I don’t know what happened after I drowned, but when I came to, I was already the Fifth Seat.”

“What do you wish to achieve by telling me this?” Alcetas asked with a frown. “I have no recollection of such an event, so I—”

Rael raised a single hand, stopping him.

“Did you… per chance, pay a visit to Solenne within the last hour?”

Alcetas tilted his head. “I went to check up on her as always, why?”

“Was she awake?” Rael pushed further.

“Of course. Don’t you know this?” Alcetas asked skeptically. “We all check up on her during the night to make sure she has not gone out of control. It was my turn, and in 2 hours, it would be yours. Or rather, it would’ve been, had you not done something so foolish.”

Rael sighed. “Does a red brick house ring a bell? Or a vegetable garden, maybe?”

When Alcetas didn’t react to either of the two things he mentioned, Rael knew what had happened.

So the mind-manipulating bitch is at it again. Shameless…

“Never mind, let me just pack up a few more items and I’ll join you upstairs, alright?” Rael said, turning around.

But as he was about to begin selling the items, Alcetas grabbed him by the collar and began dragging him out of the vault.

Of course, Rael knew how to be a professional rat, therefore…

“You’re making the items disappear…”

Alcetas suddenly grabbed Rael’s neck and tightened his grip

Since Rael wasn’t into this kind of stuff, he decided to do something else entirely.

He extended his hand and, to Alcetas’s surprise, Rael snapped his own neck.

His vision turned black, yet the pain from snapping his own neck remained.

Or rather, Jashin’s neck.

He’s probably not dead. But… where am I exactly? Rael looked around the darkness.

He was certain that he wasn’t inside the Mind Realm, but he wasn’t in the real world either.

The moment he had that thought, he saw something move in the darkness.

A second later, he felt a tug on his leg. It was a slender hand, one that definitely belonged to a woman. And before he could react, he was pulled downward, further into the darkness.

Or so he thought. However, his vision began clearing up, and he soon found himself lying on a bed, with a sharp chandelier right above him.

He recognized it right away. It was the dangerous chandelier that was placed in the Silver Palace’s infirmary. But he was even more confused as to why he was here in the first place.

His vision was slightly blurry, but even then, as he glanced down at his body, he knew it was his.

And after inspecting his status, he was even more sure.

Current situation, eh? Yeah… no shit.

Rael rose from the bed, and after realizing he was not clothed, he bought himself a pair of clothes.

Looking around, he saw a few patients lying on each of the infirmary beds, some injured greatly, while others, deceased.

There was only one healer, and once he spotted Rael, he ran toward Rael in a hurry.

“Heavens… you’re alive!” the healer remarked in surprise. “You were in a coma for nearly two months. It’s not a record, but your brain wasn’t showing any signs of functioning, so I thought you had turned brain-dead!”

He chuckled. “Thankfully that’s not the case, but if you hadn’t woken up next week, I would’ve needed to burn your body. Apologies.”

“Uhh…” Rael scratched his cheek. “Why exactly am I here?”

Of course, he could make his own assumption.

After he had entered Solenne’s mind, his body was transported elsewhere, likely in one of the Blazing Sun faction’s battlefields. Someone might’ve thought Rael was one of them, so they had taken him back here.

However…

“We found you lying in dogshit outside of the Silver Palace. You had the Blazing Sun uniform and crest, so we took you in,” the healer explained. “No one knew who you were, but since there are millions of soldiers, some information is bound to be lost.”

“Aha…” Rael nodded with a frown.

Dogshit? Seriously?

“Anyways, lie down. I need to do a checkup on you to see if you can get back to the field,” the healer said, pointing toward one of the beds.

As much as Rael wanted to simply run away, there were dangers involved. Teleportation could be disabled, or some kind of chip was implanted in his real body.

He was going to figure that out, and especially abuse the interesting opportunity that had just come up.

If he were to go along and join the Blazing Sun faction, even if temporarily, then he could likely do some serious damage in the long run.

He had knowledge of the entire faction’s structure, how they operated, and even some other boons.

At the same time, he had other thoughts swirling inside his mind.

I can set off 500 nukes under the Silver Palace, maybe? That might be a bit overkill… or not?

Anyways, he had many ideas with the chance he was given. But first things first…

“Hey, can you point me to a shower?”
