Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 505: Suggestion

Chapter 505: Suggestion

“I take it your talk went well?” Sylvia asked, bowing.

“Well? Haha… Not at all.” Rael shook his head. “I’m surprised you’re still keeping him around. His cell is unlocked and everything.”

“It is the madam’s job to maintain the prison,” Sylvia said. “But as you have already heard, she won’t meddle in matters involving Lucien any further. His seal will be completely lifted in under two weeks. After that, I will be forced to throw him out of the Willow Realm.”

“Make sure to throw him into a pile of shit,” Rael cackled as Vatyra appeared behind him.

Despite being a fire phoenix, the air around her was cold.

“Get us out of here already. I don’t want to be in the primordial’s realm any longer,” Vatyra commanded with a scoff. “Oh, and make sure to tell Tiamat her pie is total shit.”

Sylvia’s brows twitched. “I value my life, so that is not something I will do. An alternative… Should I tell Madam that you stole her coffee mug?”

“Fair play,” Vatyra acknowledged with a sigh. “Just don’t tell her anything then. It’s not like we’ll meet again anyway.”

“Hmm…” Sylvia hummed, a complex look on her face. She didn’t say another word and instead gave Rael a nod of approval.

“Your request is something I can fulfill. I’ll make sure Lucien leaves this realm comfortably.”

Rael smiled. “Perfect. Also, unlike what Vatyra is saying, I believe we’ll meet again.”

“Until then, Rael Altros,” Sylvia replied flatly and waved her hand, summoning a doorway.

“This will lead you outside of the Silver Willow Tree. From here on out, only visit this tree if there is a dire emergency. No visitors are allowed.”

Vatyra snorted and simply stepped through the doorway, vanishing. Rael was about to do the same, but that was when Sylvia coughed once, getting his attention.

“Something wrong?”

“The fragments you’re seeking…” Sylvia began as she glanced around, as if to make sure no one could hear her.

She moved closer, whispering in his ear:

“The fragments are connected to you deeply. You have a pocket universe inside of you… It’s the same universe where the shattering initially happened, just many years back. If I were you, I would assimilate that universe inside of you, so you’re not at the mercy of its arduous challenges. It’s a universe with endless possibilities. It’s on a far higher tier than the universe you’re currently a part of.”

Sylvia’s voice grew even softer, yet her heartbeat increased. Upon closer look, Rael realized there was something wrong with her body. She was burning up, and her eyes were glowing through the blindfold.

Even so, she continued speaking, unalerted by the changes happening to her.

“Gather all the fragments and assimilate them… That’s my genuine suggestion to you, Rael Altros,” Sylvia added. “And… Look for your guardian. Once you find your guardian, you will be able to freely gather the fragments without the shattered universe’s influence.” ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ꜰʀᴏᴍ noᴠelfire.net

With those words, she stepped back, leaving him confused.

Sure, he knew the Memory Fragment was related to everything Tiamat had mentioned earlier, but to hear the confirmation was a bit more reassuring than he had expected. But with that reassurance also came another confirmation he had.

Guardian… So these guardians really are connected to the system, aren’t they?

He decided to raise the same question to Sylvia, but the response he got was expected.

“Madam allowed me this much freedom, so I can’t tell you anything more… If I do, the madam might be in danger.”

“No worries…” Rael nodded slowly. “I’ll keep your words in mind. But hey, do you have any idea how I should even go about finding my guardian?”

After a short pause, Sylvia tapped her forehead, then spoke:

“With the power to convert money into anything imaginable, I believe you know the answer to your own question. But you must go now. You have a great many things to do before the inevitable war begins, so best not to waste time, Rael Altros.”

Right as he was about to reply, Sylvia suddenly pushed him, causing him to hurtle through the doorway at an extremely fast speed.

As his head made its way through the doorway, he spotted Sylvia’s expression that seemed to be one of longing. He wasn’t sure whether that longing was directed toward him or something else entirely.

Before long, with the familiar sensation of teleportation enveloping him, he found himself lying face first in a pile of pale silver leaves. To his side was Vatyra, and it looked like she found herself in the exact same scenario.

As if she found the leaves comfortable, she didn’t budge. In fact, he soon heard soft snores escape her lips.

Sighing, Rael stood up and kicked her foot. In an instant, Vatyra shot up to her feet as well, glaring at Rael as if he had done something improper.

“Did you—”

“Don’t toot your own horn,” Rael cut her off with a scoff and pointed ahead where the ground shook and shockwaves resounded.

“Chop-E’s probably still fighting. Let’s go and check it out.”

“You know I don’t like it when people tell me what to do,” Vatyra said.

She furrowed her brows, then spoke:

“You said we’ll train, so let’s train. No need to waste time.”

Rael scratched his cheek and pointed to his heart.

“You see… I might’ve accidentally used up all my Dragon Force in one go. I can’t use it for the next 24 hours now, or any mana at all, really.”

“Huh…? Are you serious?” Vatyra muttered, narrowing her eyes at his heart.

After confirming it, she grumbled.

“You’re so careless. But… fear not!” Vatyra puffed out her chest confidently. “You can still learn the movements, and—Hey! Where do you think you’re going?”

“Gonna check up on Chop-E first. Let’s start in a bit, yeah?” Rael replied with a hum as he continued walking ahead.

Vatyra clenched her fists in annoyance, but not wanting to be left behind, she followed along.
