Chapter 519: Jashin’s Mind Realm
“It’s quite empty in here since the last time I visited,” Rael remarked as he stepped through the shallow water.
Previously, Jashin’s mind had cracks all over it, and not only that, Jashin himself had been crying in the center with hollow eyes.
But now? There was absolutely nothing.
The sky was a pitch-black void devoid of any stars or light, to the point where even the shallow water wasn’t reflected. Furthermore, Jashin wasn’t curled up into a ball crying. Instead, he was standing still, staring at his reflection, even if he couldn’t see it due to the darkness.
I have the Abyss Demon Physique to thank for the night vision stuff. And I guess the True Calamity Demon race as well, Rael thought with a hum and finally reached Jashin.
He didn’t speak a single word, and upon a closer look, Rael realized that Jashin’s eyes were completely blank, as if he were already dead.
And the moment he clocked that fact, he heard another pair of footsteps from behind him.
Swiftly turning around, Rael was met with nothing. The steps stopped for a moment but quickly resumed behind him, this time much closer.
Rael tried over and over again to spot the one approaching, but no matter what, he wasn’t able to.
So, as a last-ditch effort, he placed his hand on the back of Jashin’s neck and immediately activated one of his Sloth skill effects.

“…”
“Well, this is awkward, isn’t it?” an enchanting voice rang out as he felt a warm breath brush past his cheek.
It was a voice he recognized very well, so with a hateful glare, Rael turned toward it.
However, instead of Solenne, he saw a completely black figure, one that seemed to completely mirror Solenne’s full-body light appearance.
And of course, he soon realized that this thing was actually her shadow. But then a question arose, just what was it doing here?
“Is this your way of baiting me?” Rael asked boldly, yet he kept his guard up. He knew that if this was really one of Solenne’s shadows, then he would pretty much get obliterated in an instant.
“It’s an action we took after considering what happened last time,” the shadow replied. “You invade minds, yet that doesn’t mean you go undetected. We noticed your presence the moment you entered her mind, but we sadly couldn’t dispatch you then.”
The shadow tilted its head abnormally, and despite being completely faceless, Rael could tell it was smiling at him.
“But as luck would have it, you showed up once again, just this time with your true body and soul,” the shadow added. “It’s as if you hadn’t predicted this. Do you truly believe we wouldn’t have made any contingency plans against your existence?”
Hearing that, Rael fell into deep thought.
I did expect some bait, and I didn’t rule out Jashin being used as bait either. He was weak, and she was already planning to replace him. The only thing I didn’t expect was for her to send a shadow instead of herself.
Then, he recalled his interaction with Evelyn.
She made mirrors of Solenne, and one of those mirrors mentioned that Solenne knew all along… So why did she play along with my mind-suggestion ploy? Was she trying to sniff something out…?
Aside from that, his backup plan revolved around Solenne entering the Mind Realm instead of her shadow.
After all, he had one trick he wanted to use on her before running away.
But even if he couldn’t exactly deal with Solenne as is, he might as well try his best to kill her shadow. Updates are released by novel(ꜰ)ire.net
<(NEW) Special Effect: Absolute Affinity Domain – You may designate a single affinity to be absolute in the Mind Realm, maintaining 100% of its power. The affinities that are not chosen operate at 5% of their total power.>
<Warning!>
Rael’s powers surged in an instant, causing the shadow to step back.
It didn’t seem like it was out of fear but rather preparation to fight Rael.
But Rael didn’t care about the shadow at all, since at the moment, he was immortal and all-powerful.
It was an addictive feeling he had only had the pleasure of experiencing once before in the fight against Alene, but now it was different.
I’ve spent one too many years doing nothing, to the point where my mind has gotten much more resilient… So I’m definitely not going to hold back this time around.
With a smile, Rael decided to get the first thing off his agenda.

Finally, while he could do some more to pump his stats, what he really wanted to do was make his army and stop wasting time.
And that’s exactly what he did.

<(x100,000,000) Crystallite Sword (Uncommon+) has been crafted!>
<(x100,000,000) Chop-D (Rare) has been crafted!>
Millions of Chop-Ds were made in an instant, covering the entire dark Mind Realm in their crystal glimmer.
Obviously, even with so many of them, he was going up against a being with an immeasurable amount of power, so even with God mode, Rael wasn’t sure of his odds.
Yet as he was about to send the Chop-Ds to attack, a pop-up flashed in the corner of his vision, causing his eyes to widen.

“…”
Rael took a deep breath, his smile widening.
If it could go excess once, then…

Why not again?
