Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 558: Dumpster Talk

Chapter 558: Dumpster Talk

Altros ran with all his might, and to his own surprise, his body felt much sturdier. He wasn’t even tired after running for 15 minutes straight, and as expected, he arrived at the brothel without any trouble.

But since he had plenty of time to kill, he walked into a nearby alleyway and sat down on the cleanest dumpster he could find, his thoughts conflicted.

“Dude, is this some deal with the devil shit?” Altros asked plainly. “Because I saw everything. You controlled my body, healed my ankle, and even did something to those guys’ brains, didn’t you? Also, how do two bats even fit up there…”

“Even I’m surprised it fit, but that’s beside the point. I’m not really a devil, though I am a demon, if that counts,” Rael replied.

Altros nearly fell off the dumpster.

“So what? Do you have my soul now?”

“Nope. You watch too many cartoons.” Rael chuckled. “I said I’d help you, and I would do so through any means necessary.”

“Well… beating them up like that was a pretty bad idea, wasn’t it?” Altros scratched his cheek. “I mean, won’t the hospital director just not go to the brothel now since his son is messed up in the head?”

Rael sighed. “You give too much credit to that old man. He would rather get laid than deal with his problems head on. He’ll likely take the call, say he’s coming, and then mention something about being stuck in traffic. He’ll deal with it Monday. I promise.”

Not only that…

“I used the bats while covering my fingers in mana. I scrambled the fingerprints, so it’ll look like those idiots fought themselves.”

Altros’s head spun. “You’re unbelievable. Honestly. I kind of wished I had the balls to stand up to those bastards myself.”

If only you knew… Rael chuckled inwardly. Though, he’ll likely piece together that I’m him soon enough. After all, we’re connected right now. He can feel my emotions just like I can feel his.

So when Dom mentioned Melissa, Rael was naturally outraged.

But Altros probably had a reason for not asking about it, so Rael didn’t bother with that topic either.

“Hey, do you think I can use skills here as well?” Altros asked. “I mean, you used mana, didn’t you? If you can channel it through my body, then doesn’t that mean humans can technically do it?”

Rael paused for a moment.

“You can try… Just recall the sensation.”

Altros’s expression lit up, and with great confidence, he tried messing with his blood. Rael could feel everything, and honestly, there was a 50% chance Altros was about to shit himself.

“Come on… Come out!”

75%.

After a few minutes of back and forth, nothing happened, and he sulked.

“I felt it so clearly… So why can’t I do it?”

Rael sighed, deciding to be honest.

“That’s because I brought the mana from Sketa Online. Your world doesn’t have mana.”

Altros raised a brow. “So you’re telling me I was groaning like an idiot for the past few minutes for no reason?”

“Mhm.”

As much as he wanted to slam his head into the wall behind him, Altros held back for his own sake, gathering his thoughts.

“Can you tell me anything about Sketa Online?” he asked. “Because I don’t really get this sort of stuff. How are you, an NPC, here?”

“You’ll find out eventually,” Rael assured.

Altros kept rapid-firing questions at Rael, all of which he dodged effortlessly. But as the time for the hospital director’s arrival drew near, Altros asked a question which made Rael momentarily freeze.

“Say… You messed with their heads earlier. Can you like… un-mess someone’s head?”

“…”

“Because you know… My sister is—”

“Stop.” Rael cut him off. “Focus on this first. You’ll be the one to kill the director. Think about the future afterward.”

“But—”

—VROOOOOM

His words were interrupted by a loud engine sound coming from the street just outside the alley.

Altros’s hands shook, and when he peeked out of the alley, he saw a man wearing a luxurious tuxedo step out of a limousine. It was an old man with a toupee, masking his baldness.

But the way he carried himself practically radiated the ’I’m rich, don’t talk to me’ energy.

And this person was none other than Aston, the hospital’s director, and the person they had come here to kill.

“Did you bring a mask?” Rael asked. “If not, I can scramble your appearance.”

Altros shook his head and pulled out a cute shark mask, putting it on swiftly.

“Hmm… Alright, stand by,” Rael added, waiting for Aston to step inside the brothel.

He didn’t even check if anyone was following him. That was how confident he was. And rightfully so. He was rich. The latest_epɪ_sodes are on_the N0v3l.Fiɾe.net

So when he stepped inside the brothel, the limousine left, and the street once again turned silent.

But that silence didn’t last long, and within just a few minutes, Rael heard arguing. It was coming from the fourth floor, and he could tell one voice belonged to a woman while the other belonged to Aston.

He couldn’t make out their words, but before Rael gave Altros an instruction, something shocking resounded.

—BANG!

Soon, something hit the ground with a thud. The arguing stopped, and only the salty muttering of Aston remained, causing Rael to frown inwardly.

“Umm… dude?” Altros hid back inside the alley, his heart practically beating out of his chest. “That shot didn’t come from inside the brothel, did it?”

“…”

“I should’ve prepared a mantra for this occasion. Fuck!” Altros stomped the ground, his nerves getting to him. “I thought he’d have a baton, maybe a knife or a machete. But a fucking gun? Nah, I’m—”

“If you die, I can revive you,” Rael said nonchalantly. “If you get shot, I can heal you. If you kill him, I can erase his body. If you get caught by someone, I can erase their memories.”

Taking a deep breath, he continued in a quieter tone:

“There’s nothing to worry about. You’ll live either way, and you’ll walk out with someone you hate dead.”

Altros gulped. “What about the cameras?”

“I scrambled them from the moment I woke up in your body,” Rael assured right away.

And just like that, he seemed to have gotten Altros’s trust; without another objection, Altros clenched his fists and nodded.

“Alright, big boss, what do I do now?”
