Capítulo 611: Putting Up The Barriers
To wake the big boy up, all it took was a single flick on the forehead.
And yet, when Rael saw his mana returning to normal, he at least expected a little bit of resistance.
Maybe even an attack to defend himself?
Instead, he just stood there, his eyes blank as he moved his mouth several times, trying to utter a word.
After a few seconds, he was finally able to.
“You have messed with the wrong person…”
“Hear me out,” Rael said immediately. “You just got caught up in my skill is all. I didn’t mean to have you experience all that, but you understand my caution, right?”
He pointed at Lucien.
“How am I supposed to relax when that guy is right there? He can kill both of us with the snap of his fingers.”
Kareth’s gaze eventually landed on Rael, and the moment it did, Rael suddenly lost control of his body.
Just then, he began moving. Again, he wasn’t in control, but his movements were fluid, and it didn’t take a genius to know that Kareth was the one responsible for the control.
After all, he not only had the Law of Control, but he was also the Hollow King.
Still, it felt weird being in the passenger seat of your own body.
Rael could feel everything, including his mana. But he just felt detached somehow.
That feeling lasted for a couple more seconds until eventually, it felt like he regained control of his body. The moment he did, Kareth exhaled a sharp breath.
“If you do that again, I don’t care if you are my successor, I will annihilate your soul on the spot. Understood?”
Rael gulped. “Yes sir.”
Kareth nodded, then gestured around himself. “Now explain.”
And that was exactly what Rael did.
From what he saw in the Prophetic Realm all the way to what their goal was here.
Of course, he tossed in a lot of misinformation, primarily because on the off chance that Lucien was somehow able to hear them, he would get misled.
Still, it took a solid five minutes to explain everything, and now came the tricky part.
“I messaged Anastasia as well. I don’t think she is going to visit,” Kareth said. “Her and I are not in a very loving relationship.”
“I don’t care. I’m not a relationship counsellor,” Rael replied. “Just keep spamming her until she either blocks you or comes here. It doesn’t matter what you write.”
That was, after all, how it worked back in his Prophetic Realm too. Kareth pissed her off so much that she arrived here and stabbed him through the chest.
Sure, she helped afterwards, but it sure was a dramatic entrance.
“We don’t have much time. Are you sure you are spamming her?”
“Of course I am. Silence…” Kareth grunted, his gaze landing on me again. “Are you sure I can’t just get us out of here?”
Rael shook his head.
“Nope. Lucien locked this space down. If you were to try breaking that lock, he will wake up. Before we can run away, he would kill us. It is not a fun time at all, so I wouldn’t recommend it.”
“So how is my wife supposed to get in, then?”
“It is hard to teleport out. Teleporting in is way easier,” Rael replied plainly. “Her teleportation would destabilize the space though, and Lucien would wake up though, so be prepared.”
The plan was thorough inside his head, but only now did Rael realize that the future he had seen was the perfect future.
In that perfect future, Kareth didn’t question him so much. Furthermore, Anastasia should have already arrived.
Without intending to, Rael began biting his nails, thinking that this was one of those worst case scenarios.
But then, even if a little late, the space suddenly cracked.
Through that crack, a frowning Anastasia flew in, her hand extended.
She was aiming to pierce Kareth’s chest, but instead… she pierced Rael?

Anastasia didn’t go for his heart, nor a vital. Just her flat damage alone was enough to basically kill him though.
“Puny bastard. What do you think you are doing?” she asked coldly.
Kareth coughed from the side.
“Dear wife, please calm down.”
“Calm down?” Anastasia turned toward him instantly, her brows twitching. “You were gone for how long, exactly? Then you come back and disappear again. You have no right to tell me to calm down.”
True.
“And you,” Anastasia turned back to Rael. “Just what kind of mess are you dragging us into?”
“In my defense, you were the one whose mind was all jumbled,” Rael replied innocently. “Had you not been controlled by Lucien, we wouldn’t have exactly gotten into this situation, would we?”
Well, as snarky as Rael had hoped it sounded, she kind of brushed it off. The source of this content ɪs novel✦fire.net
With yet another attack to his chest.

If not for his overpowered healing, he’d be dead already.
“Explain. Now.”
Rael was going to do the honors, but perhaps Kareth wanted to reconcile, so he did the explaining.
It was way shorter than when Rael explained it, though he still got most of the information across.
And just then, as they were getting annoyed at each other, they all heard a familiar sound.
A step.
It came from behind them.
As they all turned around in unison, they saw Lucien staring at them with a clear gaze.
And yet… for the first time, Rael saw veins bulging on Lucien’s forehead.
He was angry.
But he was also more clear-headed than Kareth.
Much, much more clearheaded.
“That was a very interesting trick,” Lucien said slowly. “That came from the test subject, right? I’m surprised he managed to get that far. Perhaps he has potential after all…”
He took a few deep breaths, calming himself down.
“No matter. Whatever you saw in your future only applies if I am linked to any causality. If, however, I detach myself from that…”
To Rael’s surprise, Lucien’s mana suddenly vanished.
Not only that, foresight could no longer pick him up either.
He was here, but he was also not here.
It was strange, but…
If he was desperate enough to use a gimmick at this moment, then that meant they had a shot at victory.
Therefore…
“Anastasia, put up the barriers.”
