Capítulo 614: Homerun
The moment Rael said those words, darkness slowly began to envelop them.
A faint frown appeared on Lucien’s face as he glanced up. Pretty much every single person did, excluding Rael.
The moment they saw what was in the sky, however, their eyes widened.
Lucien was no exception.
“You pulled a planet into this realm?”
Rael smiled.
“I couldn’t exactly teleport it, but using all of my strength to yank it here wasn’t that hard.”
Considering he did it nearly 6 minutes ago, he was half expecting the planet to not make it here in time.
But as he stared at the approaching planet that had covered the entire sky, blazing downward, he knew it worked just fine.
“Tsk…”
Now Lucien knew very well that his time was limited.
Therefore, he brought his hand down on Rael, who couldn’t even dodge if he wanted to.
But he didn’t exactly need to.
After all, he had two powerhouses right behind Lucien, who kicked off the ground and suddenly pinned him down.
Lucien resisted, blasting them upward and going for Rael again.
However, they were Grade 8’s for a reason.
Lucien stopped, and for a few brief moments, his movements became mechanical.
That was clearly Kareth’s doing.
But not only that, Anastasia seemed to have a trick up her sleeve as well.
It would be strange if barriers were all she could do.
A pale golden sword descended from the sky.
Lucien’s body shook, clearly trying to resist Kareth’s control.
But no matter what he did, he couldn’t escape Kareth’s grasp. However, Kareth wasn’t in a peak state either. He was bleeding from his eyes, and his fingers were twisted at odd angles. Even his mana was slightly unstable.
Still, he held Lucien just enough for the pale golden sword to impale Lucien straight through the back of the neck.
That was when the sword became smaller.
Much, much smaller.
Becoming the size of a small dagger, it continued inward until it was no longer visible.
And that was when a moment of silence ensued.
It was heavy.
The brief pause didn’t last long though, as mana gathered around Anastasia’s throat.
Then she finally spoke.
“I order you to die.”
The moment she spoke those words, Lucien stopped moving completely.
Rael could feel that Lucien’s heart had just stopped, making him wonder just what kind of ability she used.
But almost like a last-ditch effort, Lucien suddenly exploded in a burst of power, breaking free of Kareth’s control.
It was a crucial moment. Very crucial for Lucien’s victory.
Yet it was also a moment Rael had foreseen.
He had been waiting for this exact breakthrough since the start.
It was for one reason, and one reason only.

Shit.
He was 50,000 Premium Coins short.
Sike.
<+428,991 Premium Coins>
And so, as that pop-up remained in front of Rael, he didn’t hesitate to steal Lucien’s skill.
<Ding!>
In the next instant, Lucien’s power increase halted.
No one knew what happened except Rael and Lucien.
But the silence was loud, way too loud.
“I order you to fall!” Anastasia screamed.
Lucien’s knees buckled as he fell to the ground.
Anastasia gritted her teeth. Blood flowed down her orifices, and she seemed in no better shape than Kareth.
In fact, she was in even worse shape.
But seeing Lucien slowly get up again, she shouted one last command.
“I order you to not think!”
It was so simple.
If anything, Rael even thought that it was stupid.
However, that single command was enough to fully stop Lucien in his tracks.
He drooled from the mouth, his eyes unfocused.
His power began to drain rapidly, to the point that within just a few minutes, he was rendered as weak as he was before all of this happened.
He was even weaker than during the first few trials.
Rael steadied his breaths and approached Lucien.
His eyes seemed to once again regain color, but from how messed up the rest of his body was, Rael knew he didn’t have to worry about Lucien suddenly retaliating.
“I don’t mean to raise red flags, but damn,” Rael said. “Thanks for the skill.”
“…”
“Lucien, could you humor me for a moment? What exactly is it that you wanted from me? Was it really just my body?”
He honestly didn’t expect an answer since it was just an assumption on his part.
But…
“Your soul is much more valuable than your body,” Lucien said weakly, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
“Tell me, what do you think happened when you exchanged your shadow to win a fight against Solenne? Do you think the shadow just up and poofed? I can tell you it didn’t. The shadow is somewhere in the world, and if I find it, I’ll be able to control you.”
“Ah.”
That was interesting.
Rael’s shadow was somewhere in the world, hm?
If that was the case, and that ‘somewhere’ was actually real, then that meant Rael could try a certain something.

Free, huh?
Rael stared at it for a moment, and then clicked buy.
Nothing happened at first.
It didn’t even feel that much different.
For a moment, Rael thought that he might have been a bit too hasty.
But that was when a soothing sensation suddenly spread through his body.
And what followed made his eyes widen in shock.
<Ding!>
.
.
.
<Ding!>
<Ding!>
<Congratulations!>
Seeing his constructs be restored filled Rael with a sense of relief.
They had died because of his stupidity, and now they were all back.
Even Sweepus Prime and the others.
Clenching his fists in excitement, Rael raised his foot right above Lucien’s head, and right as he was about to bring it down, he halted, letting out a chuckle.
“Did you really think I’d speed up Anastasia’s efforts and let you use Vatyra’s feather to revive with full strength?”
Lucien’s expression hardened, and before he could even say a word, Rael kicked him away like a football straight into a nearby ditch.
Rael’s attention was still on him, but there were clearly other, more pressing matters he had to deal with.
For one, Rael used the planet as insurance to crush Lucien long enough for his body to lose enough strength and then disappear.
That very same planet was now heading straight for them.
Then there was also the one thing that was arguably more important.
The sight in front of him.
“Anastasia? Anastasia! Wake up!”
