Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 635: The Sister

Chapter 635: The Sister

“The city sure is bustling, huh?” Rael pointed out, glancing around.

He had his horn out, and so did Lilith.

That naturally attracted the attention of the surrounding demons.

However, it wasn’t the positive kind of attention.

“T-They are Calamity Demons!”

“What is the royal family doing here?”

“M-Maybe they came to visit their sibling?”

Yeah…

They’re not really wrong…

“These two-faced bastards are really pissing me off,” Lilith said. “Back when I was little, these same people called me a bastard child and threw rocks at me. Now they don’t even recognize me and treat me like royalty.”

“…”

“I mean, seriously… I understand the hierarchy, but this is just ridiculous,” she added.

At this point, she was just ranting.

Though he didn’t turn her ranting away, as she had likely been pent up this entire time.

With no one to listen to her ranting, he could tell she really wanted to get this out.

“Watch my father have the same reaction, hah! Dear Lily, I missed you sooo~ much! Why don’t you come and take the throne from your dear old papa!”

Lily?

Hmm…

A pet name.

“Will you take it?” Rael asked. “The throne, I mean.”

“Should I?” Lilith tilted her head. “I kind of just wanted to get revenge on them by becoming the sole successor.”

She then glanced back at Rael.

“Do you want me to take the throne?”

Staring at her for a moment, Rael wasn’t sure how to respond.

Why would she toss that kind of question on him?

It wasn’t like he was the one in that position.

Therefore…

“It’s all up to you,” Rael replied. “I’ll respect your decision regardless of what you do.”

She paused for a moment, then turned around with a faint smile.

“Good answer.”

With those words, she continued walking ahead.

Occasionally, they stopped by a merchant stall and bought a few souvenirs.

Rather, they stole a few souvenirs after the merchants kindly gave them something ’on the house.’

And on the house, Lilith and Rael took everything the merchants had to offer.

It was only fair.

But eventually, after walking through the entire city, they arrived in front of a dark castle.

It was surrounded by a few hundred demons.

Safe to say, it was heavily guarded.

Each demon seemed pretty formidable too.

Obviously, one slap was all it took to kill all few hundred of them, but he wouldn’t react until Lilith told him to.

Lilith approached the gate and was immediately stopped by two demons wielding spears.

“Halt! Who are you? The young mistress wasn’t expecting anyone from her family to show up.”

“Oh dear me, I forgot to mention it, didn’t I?” Lilith put a hand over her mouth. “How very silly of me! But now that I’m here, you can’t turn me away, right? Tell Elizabeth that her sister has arrived.”

She then pointed at Rael with a cheeky smirk.

“And the sister’s husband.”

The demons just stared at her, unsure of how to react.

All the while, Rael felt like he was in a Korean drama.

It’s like the abandoned CEO coming to take back what’s hers.

Hehe.

“Miss… could you tell us your name?” the guard asked.

But Lilith shook her head.

“You see my horn, and you see my husband’s horn. I don’t want another peep out of you. Get Elizabeth now, or I’ll simply walk inside without your permission. Understood?”

This time around, the guards listened.

They talked amongst themselves, and after a few brief moments, sent a scout into the castle.

Seeing that, Lilith harrumphed in satisfaction and then walked back to Rael, elbowing him.

“See? Dominant, aren’t I?”

“I was half expecting you to pulverize them,” Rael said.

Lilith hummed. “Maybe next time… I wasn’t in the pulverizing mood just yet.”

After a brief pause, Rael replied, “Who’s Elizabeth, anyway? You mentioned she’s your sibling, but what was she like?”

“The short of it all? She was a rude bitch,” Lilith stated, narrowing her eyes. “On my birthday, Father bought me a dress, and right as I was about to wear it, Elizabeth poured acid on it. I had to attend my birthday party in pajamas.”

Shit…

“Older sibling?”

Lilith nodded. “She’s ancient. I… I won’t mention my age again, but she’s in the four digits already. What she did to me back then was immature, but she’s very temperamental. In short… a short fuse.”

No pun intended.

Probably.

Nonetheless, Rael chatted a bit about the bitch Elizabeth, and eventually, the castle gate opened, revealing a mature-looking woman wearing a glamorous red dress.

She was dolled up in make-up, and Rael was sure a single gust of wind would create a desert in her wake.

Her red lipstick also didn’t seem normal.

He was slightly drawn to it, but it only took him a split second to realize that she cast some sort of charm spell on her lips.

That would explain why 90% of the guards were actually maintaining eye contact with her.

Anyhow, Elizabeth came out confident, but when she spotted Lilith, her expression changed abruptly.

“Lilith? What are you doing here?”

“Hello, sister.” Lilith waved with a smile. “It’s been a very long time, so I thought I’d pay you a visit.”

She pointed at her horn.

“As you can see, I’ve finally awakened my bloodline. I’m just like you all now.”

“…”

Elizabeth didn’t reply, but Rael could clearly sense her emotions.

Rage, disgust, and malice.

It seemed like she was prepared to lunge at Lilith and rip her throat out at any moment.

Of course, if she tried something so stupid, Rael would leap in and break her neck.

After all, with all her strength, she was still only a Grade 5.

“Sister, do you mind if my husband and I come in for a drink or two?” Lilith asked.

Elizabeth finally glanced at Rael.

“Your husband, huh…”

And then there was that emotion Rael was half-expecting.

Lust.

“I suppose he can come in. Guards, escort them inside. I will change my dress shortly.”
