Chapter 796: Dinner

“You’re really adamant about that, aren’t you? But sure… I don’t see why not,” Nyzzara replied. “Are you going to cook something here?”

Rael smirked at her, and then he snapped his fingers.

Before she could even process what was happening, she found herself inside his mansion, chilling in the kitchen where a few plates had been scattered all around.

Clearly, whoever ate had no idea how to wash their dishes.

Of course, Rael’s prime suspect was Nyx.

“Sit down wherever you want. I’ll prepare something in a bit.”

He snapped his fingers again and caused every single one of the plates to just vanish.

Since he had quite a bit of money, he would just buy more plates and utensils.

Nyzzara confidently sat down and waited for food.

Rael went ahead and decided to just start heating up the pan while also searching for some meat in the Premium Shop. There were a few prime cuts he could buy, and so he bought all of them.

Once he did so, he went ahead and seasoned everything and got some potatoes as a side dish. Caviar would be too fancy, maybe? He still got it though.

After putting everything together and putting it in the pan, Rael went over to the living room where Nyx was busy dealing with the task he had given her.

Though, judging by how she was snoozing on the job, it might be a bit too easy for her.

Yet when he looked over the laptop at what she had done, he quickly realized that she hadn’t even opened the program she needed to do everything she needed.

Basically, she was being a lazy bum at the moment.

Did Rael care?

Kind of.

Though in all fairness, he didn’t expect her to finish all the work she needed on the first day.

After all, he himself was a procrastinator.

If someone gave him a deadline for next month, he would finish the work like a day or two prior to the deadline.

Anyhow… Rael couldn’t help but approach her and pinch her cheek.

She woke up immediately and frowned at Rael.

But upon smelling the delicious smell of meat coming from the kitchen, her expression shifted considerably.

“Are you cooking something for me?”

She paused, then realized that there was another person present. That person just so happened to be Nyzzara.

“Another wife candidate?”

“The ruler of a different land, actually. We just so happen to be acquainted.”

Nyx nodded. Although she didn’t really believe it at all, she put aside the laptop and stood up before going into the kitchen.

Obviously, she wasn’t invited, but Rael didn’t have the heart to take her away from the food.

So with that in mind, Rael walked back to the kitchen and finished cooking up the food. It seemed like Nyx and Nyzzara were both introverts of sorts, so they didn’t talk to each other.

Instead, they just waited for food. Rael finished cooking, and after plating the food and sliding it over to the two women, he sat down and began eating as well.

Nyzzara tried to act elegant at first, but after just a few bites of the delicious meat, her expression changed as she began wolfing down the food without remorse.

On the other hand, Nyx wasn’t like that. She seemed a little groggy, having just woken up a few minutes ago. Still, after a few bites, she had also begun eating properly.

Rael admired them from the side for a moment and thought of a particular person he wished to see at the moment.

Aside from Zafira and Lilith, there was Gaia, who was currently out searching for the Supreme Beast Fragments.

Judging by how long it was taking and how little of a connection he felt to her, she must’ve been pretty far.

“What are you thinking about?” Nyx asked.

Rael tilted his head.

“Can’t you read my thoughts?”

“Partially, yeah. That doesn’t mean I care much about reading them, since it’s mostly just perverted thoughts about your wives.”

He shrugged.

“That’s what you get for peeking into my head, I guess. Anyway, like the food?”

“It’s pretty good.”

Nyx continued to eat, and on the other hand, Nyzzara nodded, her expression a bit more peaceful than earlier.

Not only that, Rael felt like she had gotten even more powerful than before.

And as if recognizing what he was thinking, Nyx said:

“She’s absorbing mana from the air and assimilating it with her body. Basically, since we’re both here, she’s getting a massive buff. Maybe if she stays here for long enough, she might reach the next Grade by next week.”

Hearing that, Rael raised a brow.

“Can I get something like that?”

Nyx shrugged.

“I don’t think so. There are some things your body can and can’t tolerate. Whatever she has going on in her body is unique to her constitution. You already have your own unique constitution that makes you purely mana.”

She narrowed her eyes slightly.

“Why don’t you try to figure out how to use your physique a bit better, genius? All you’re doing now is just the same thing you’ve done since you were still human. Try to turn yourself into pure mana and invade someone’s body.”

Rael nodded at her, clearly signaling that he might try that out a little later.

Of course, Rael was sure that he might not forget it. But if he did, Nyx had all the authority she needed to slap the shit out of him.

Aside from that…

“Mind if I stay here while I’m working, then?” Nyzzara asked, taking a bite out of the meat. “It looks like there’s plenty of strong people here, so I can grow more powerful by just doing nothing.”

Nyx smirked.

“On Rael’s behalf, we accept. Also, do you want to become my disciple?”

“Your disciple?”

She nodded.

“I am the Goddess of Eternal Slumber. If you choose to become my disciple, you will grow powerful just by sleeping.”

“Uhh…”

“Will I also earn money while sleeping?”
