Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 868: Deja Vu

Chapter 868: Deja Vu

“It’s nothing too serious,” Rael said. “On another note, you got some fancy stuff here. Half of these things I didn’t even know could fit inside a woman.”

Despite his inappropriate comment, she simply shrugged.

“It’s a good thing I’m not a normal woman then, isnt it? I’m a vampire, and us vampires are a bit different on a physical level,” Reyna said, then pointed at Lilith. “You’re not a vampire, but you’re a demon. You’re the same as us, I bet.”

A slight smile appeared on her face.

“And I’m guessing just like me, you inherited some succubus genes too. Jeez… I’d be jealous of Rael if I was a man.”

Lilith just sat there awkwardly, not quite sure how to reply. If anything, she was freaky and unhinged at times, but when someone even more freaky and unhinged appeared, Lilith folded quite fast.

Nonetheless, with the tense atmosphere now gone, replaced by a banterous one, all Rael did was explain the situation to Reyna, including how one of their friends was related to Eris. She was very surprised to hear that, and that was for one reason in particular.

“She used to mention having a husband… I always thought she was just sick in the head, but it seems like that was the truth. I kind of feel bad for trying to set her up with all those men.”

Eris scoffed. “You’re very quick to set up others with some kind of relationship, but when it comes down to your personal love life, you are the biggest virgin that has ever graced this High Tower.”

Reyna raised her arms innocently. “You caught me, I’m a virgin. But at the very least, I’m a virgin who has fun. Now then, since you guys clearly seem to have a much larger history than I expected, I guess I won’t need to worry about you going at each other’s throats when I’m not here.”

Rael shrugged at her comment and then glanced at the zweihander. “It’s pretty decent, but you made it completely white now?”

She raised one finger. “It’s White Alloy. It’s one of the densest materials in the whole tower.”

Rael tilted his head. “Is that necessary? I mean, isn’t the item already unbreakable?”

“Well yeah, but that didn’t stop you from still managing to somehow break it, did it? Well… look at it this way. If it’s actually possible to break an unbreakable weapon, then if I add a very sturdy material to support the unbreakable enchant, then it’s not actually going to break, right?” Reyna said, her smile widening.

“After all, like the genius that I am, I also added a mending enchant, which should recover the durability of the weapon if it were to get damaged. Not only that, the damage dealt could be supplemented by your mana, which would disperse all the damage the sword would take.”

“I made that automatic, by the way. So yeah, don’t worry. This sword won’t be breaking as easily as the last one,” Reyna finished, and finally yoinked one of the sandwiches that had been left on the table. As she put one in her mouth, she immediately devoured it, leaving the rest of them slightly speechless.

Though Rael was speechless just because of how overpowered she said she had made it. He honestly didn’t expect much, and in the end, he was sure that his weapons were far better… but to make something like that, and then be able to make it even better… he was honestly honored.

And of course, he also had the wet dream of one day having his own personal sword, so that’s that.

Nonetheless, Rael approached the sword, and after seeing how light it was, he quickly inspected it.

It was really that much better…

Rael let out a sigh and confidently stashed the blade away on his waist. Afterwards, he just looked at himself in the mirror before finally returning to the rest of the women, who, after just a few minutes, seemingly began getting along.

Not to mention, even Nyx, who was usually just the person who chimed in, and Gaia, who usually just lurked, actually managed to hold a decent conversation now.

Though, that was only because Reyna and Eris were leading the conversations, as well as Lilith, who was a little bit too social at times like these. Zafira also fit in perfectly, especially because she was one of those people who knew what to add to the conversation.

But then again, Rael just pretty much filtered all their words and decided to step out, since just leaving the conversation for one minute made him an outcast. Therefore, he climbed down to the bottom and stepped outside.

Honestly… he could still hear them chattering above him, which made him let out a sigh as he went to the center of the city and, after sitting down on one of the benches, he just chomped down on one of the sandwiches.

All the while, he watched as person after person entered the next floor and appeared from one of the lower floors. It was strangely therapeutic to watch them like this. Though, while Rael was in the middle of just watching them aimlessly, he suddenly caught sight of a cloaked man.

A slight hum made Rael aware of his presence, and when Rael focused on the cloaked man further, he felt a sense of déjà vu that most likely stemmed back to Arthur Pendragon’s memories.

That was probably why he felt so familiar with Eris too, since she not only triggered some of Renoir’s memories but also the Pendragon’s, considering she likely had met him in the past.

Rael let out a sigh at this revelation, and although he kind of just wanted to climb with his wives, he felt like an opportunity like this would not present itself often.

So with that in mind, Rael stood up and began trailing the cloaked man.
