I Cook Limitlessly In a Fantasy World

Chapter 87: Contract

Prisha floated, surrounded by birds made of poison mist that attacked Ainen speedily, while mist also burst around Ainen every second.

And yet, Prisha's eyes were filled with despair.

Prisha's main move was Toxin Mist Expansion. It directly produced a cloud of poisonous mist around the target. All she had to do was look at the target.

However, it took some milliseconds for Toxin Mist Expansion to appear, and unfortunately, it was enough for Ainen to get away from it.

And the one attack she finally managed to hit, Ainen failed to penetrate him. Her poison couldn't touch him. She also felt that Ainen let himself get hit just to check his defense.

'What kind of crazy defense is this?!'

Every time her poison mist was about to hit Ainen, they clashed with a stream of flame that strangely changed its colors and became resistant to her poison, neutralizing it.

And the main reason she lost hope in winning was the fact that Ainen had yet to even launch a single attack on her.

He was merely using her to test his skills.

'I knew I couldn't match him, but I can't do anything. He's faster, tougher, and I haven't seen his attack, but…'

"Come on, can't you let me go? I don't want to die…"

Prisha's voice was filled with dread. The exit was there, but Ainen had blocked it with a barrier, and she couldn't get past the other defense.

Ainen suddenly paused before vanishing and appearing in front of Prisha, who started sweating due to the heat radiating from Ainen.

There was an eccentric sun above Ainen that flickered out rays of light within a kilometer radius.

Geosun Mirrored Defense. This skill was Ainen's ultimate defense skill.

Within one kilometer, anything he deemed a target could be contained by an exotic flame stream that could take various shapes and solidify instantly to varying degrees.

But the most powerful aspect of this skill was that the Palatebloom Fire's power would taste the attacks and transform the structure to be more resilient against the attacks, no matter the kind of attack, because his Palatebloom Fire would taste it firsthand upon contact.

Prisha also tried to use projectiles that explode with high impact pressure and shoot a beam of condensed poison, but somehow, Ainen's defense could still forcefully block it via a type of defense specialized against high-impact projectiles.

Sometimes, her projectiles would instead get completely deflected forcefully and would explode away from Ainen.

There was just no way to even bend his hair.

'This defense is great. I guess this is enough. Let's finish this.'

[Geosun Mirrored Defense]

Attributes: Earth, Fire, Wind, Sand, Mystic (Taste)

Rank: SS+

Proficiency: 100%

Arcane Path: "The Sun That Adapts to All It Tastes."

Effect:

—> Ainen manifests a radiant miniature sun structure that forms a one-kilometer field where all energies can be "tasted", thereby getting their characteristics adopted by the defense system of the sun, which manifests defenses where required instantly and neutralizes the threat.

The cost of this skill was unstable, but it was generally low as it depended on the attacks, and Ainen could easily choose what to defend against and what not to as he could also dodge dodgable attacks.

"It's over."

Prisha sighed, her head down. "I thought I would be ready to face my death when it came."

Tears dropped from her eyes.

"But I guess I am not." Prisha looked at Ainen, a rueful smile on her face. "I know you want to kill me, but let me tell you one thing."

"You might change your mind after that." Prisha wiped her tears and spoke in a hard, flat tone. "I have a Master. The one who gave me a chance to get the class I have right now. If you kill me, you should expect to face the revenge from an Emperor-rank powerhouse."

Lord Black suddenly said, 'Ainen, ask her if her Master has dark green hair.'

"Does your master have dark green hair?"

Prisha was taken aback. "How do you know?"

'Looks like her master is the same guy that was hunting me with Starion Blade Magic Tower's Master.'

Ainen narrowed her eyes. "If I let you go…"

Prisha's eyes flickered with hope upon hearing that.

"Will your Cradle organization leave me alone? You have people outside, and it doesn't take a genius to figure out that I am the one who foiled your plans."

"I may have already earned enmity from Cradle. At least, I am going to assume I did and move forward taking that into consideration." Ainen paused a bit before he added. "So tell me, if I leave you alive, what can you do for me?"

'What's your plan, Ainen?'

'She has an Emperor-rank Master. It means she must be important. At least, she must have more information and would have close contact with an Emperor-rank being of this organization.'

'Since I might get into trouble if they come after me, wouldn't it be better to have a spy in their ranks who can tell me when they come for me, so I can prepare?'

'That's true. So are you going to make her your slave using a contract?'

'Depends on her.'

Prisha thought for a bit and then finally answered Ainen. "I can help you! If Cradle sends people after you, I will volunteer to join them with the excuse of wanting revenge for the loss I suffered at your hand. This way, I can inform you beforehand, and you can prepare."

Ainen smiled. "Very good idea. Then do you agree to become my follower who will listen to me and never betray me if I let you go?"

The moment Ainen finished speaking, a golden page appeared in front of him since he wished for a soul contract, and Arcane triggered it.

Prisha opened her mouth and closed it again instead of speaking. She grabbed the golden paper and infused a bit of Mana into it, sighing the contract.

She got her life, and Ainen got a slave.

"Good. Now, get out. The exit's there." Ainen smiled and gestured at the large exit portal.

The barrier around the portal that Ainen had made disappeared, and Trisha left.

Seeing her appear outside just as they were leaving, Zurdon was surprised. "You exited?"
