Global Gods : Skill-Resonance Awakened

Chapter 203: Ch 203 : The Emperor's Order

Even after being so profoundly provoked, Ragnok just smiled, a cold expression that held no humor. "My life," he said, his voice a low, steady growl that cut through the angel's melodic scorn, "has only one purpose. And that is to give my entire life... all nine of them to be exact.. to my God."

He let his words sink in, a quiet declaration of faith that was also an unshakeable promise. "And I would have killed you for that insult," Ragnok continued, his own power beginning to rise, "if it weren't for the rules of this tournament."

This final statement, this rejection of the angel's perceived superiority, was more than Sparx's arrogance could bear.

Sparx lunged, his hand outstretched, a spear of pure, blinding light forming in his grasp.

But as he moved, Ragnok unleashed his full, S-Grade King's Aura. It was a blast of absolute authority.

The pressure, the sheer, crushing weight of a true king's will, slammed into Sparx like a physical mountain.

The angelic demigod's charge stopped dead. His six beautiful wings, which had been beating with effortless grace, now strained and faltered, as if trying to fly through a sea of invisible stone.

The very air around him seemed to thicken, to reject his divine presence. He was forced down, foot by foot, until his knees were a mere ten feet from the ground, his entire form trembling under the oppressive weight of Ragnok's indomitable will.

The live chat, which had been admiring the angel's beauty, exploded.

Lifeform729393 : "woah... What magesty... My body wants to kneel"

Lifeform628399 : "Demigod Ragnok is quite famous as the first to reach DemiGod realm among the lifeforms, but who is this other DemiGod. Any information?"

Lifeform26391: "Is this chat anonymous?"

Lifeform26939: "We can't see each other's names or planets, so it should be. But don't say anything to get banned. Demigod Thea is watching everything, after all."

Lifeform26391: "I don't care. I just need to ask… can the demigods see who types in this chat? I need to talk about that 'angelic' demigod"

Lifeform23 : "only DemiGod Thea and God Cosmos can see who typed these messages, apart from them no one have such authority, I heard it from Demigod Cerberus"

Lifeform26391 : "let me tell you all one thing, This demigod is no angel. He is a monster. He is evil."

A hush fell over the chat.

Lifeform28949: "What? What do you mean?"

Lifeform26391: "Years ago, Sparx came to our world. He took my sister. She was only sixteen. He said it was her 'fortune' that she was 'picked' by a demigod. My parents wept, but what can we even do? He's a demigod. We… we never saw her again. I wanted to kill this bastard, but I knew my strength was nothing"

Lifeform49949 : "is this for real? What did your God do?"

Lifeform26391 : "My God met me in a dream. He said Sparx was his only demigod, and he couldn't avenge my sister, or our world would be defenseless against the demons. He ordered Sparx never to harm another lifeform, and bound by his creator, he obeyed. But he never stopped hating us for it. He shows his disdain, his displeasure, his contempt for us mortals every time he passes. He is evil."

Lifeform27839: "Brother, that's… that's horrible. Why don't you pray to God Cosmos? Maybe he will listen."

Lifeform26391: "You are right. If my God's hands are bound… I will ask the God above my God."

The live chat fell into a somber, angry silence. But the message had been sent. And it had been received.

In his high throne, Sunny's gaze, which had been watching the match with a detached amusement, turned to ice.

[Master, I have cross-referenced the testimony,]

Thea's voice chimed in his mind, her tone cold and analytical.

[The lifeform's story is 100% accurate. I have also found 412 other similar reports from that God's world. Sparx is a known predator. But after few years he suddenly stopped doing such things and only showed discontent with the lifeforms, i didn't know about it because I was linked to God Venus later]

Sunny's cosmic eyes lifted from the arena and settled on a single God among the six billion seated in the stands. A God named Venus.

A wave of pure, suffocating pressure, an aura a infinite times heavier than Ragnok's, descended upon this God.

Venus, who had been watching the match with a nervous expression, suddenly choked. He felt an invisible, colossal hand wrap around his very soul and squeeze.

The other Gods near him recoiled, feeling the fringe of Sunny's terrifying, focused wrath.

"Boss?" Zir called out, his voice laced with concern as he saw Venus's divine form begin to flicker, his face turning a pale, panicked blue. "Boss, he'll die at this rate!"

Sunny let go of the pressure, but his voice, when it came, was a sound that chilled every God to their core. It was a whisper, a calm, quiet question that echoed in the silent arena.

"Venus. Is it? I heard your demigod did something… unspeakable… to the lifeforms on your planet. And you did nothing about it."

Venus's face, already pale, lost all color. He looked at the masked Emperor, and he felt as if he were staring into the cold, infinite void of space itself. His life, his very existence, was about to end. "Emperor!" he cried out, his voice a pathetic, trembling wail. "I was wrong! Please, forgive me!"

But before he could say another word, Sunny snapped his fingers.

The sound was not loud, but it was the only thing in the universe that moved. In that instant, his entire territory froze.

The quadrillions of cheering, gasping lifeforms in the stands became silent, unmoving statues.

The demigods, Ragnok and Sparx remained suspended in the air. Their gaze locked on each other.

It was time stop spell, the entire Territory of Sunny was stopped, entire realm of advancement and the entire universe.

"I do not want the demigods or the lifeforms to see the sorry state of their God," Sunny said, his voice the only sound in the dead silence. He looked at the frozen, arrogant form of Sparx in the arena. Then his gaze returned to the trembling, terrified Venus.

"Why should I forgive you?" Sunny's voice was deathly calm. "What about the sister of that boy? What about the 412 others like her? Speak."

"Emperor… I…" Venus stammered, his mind collapsing under the pressure. "I could have killed him for what he did, I swear it! But he… he was my only demigod! Without him, my world would have been defenseless against the demon invasions! My people would have been slaughtered!" He was sobbing now, his divine form a pathetic, weeping mess.

"I ordered him to stop! I bound him with my own will! And he hasn't harmed another soul since that day, I swear it!"

"I know," Sunny's voice replied, and the coldness in it terrified Venus more than any rage. "That is the only reason you are still alive."

He looked at the other Gods, at their expressions of pity and anger. They now understood what had happened.

He looked back at Venus.

"I want to know why your demigod turned out this way. I have seen arrogance and cruelty among the others. But this is something else."

"I… I don't know, my Emperor," Venus wept. "But… I can only think of one reason." He took a shaky breath.

"It was after the first great demon invasion. My world… it was burning. I had lost so much. I had one Divine Embryo. I was in a fit of rage and agonizing grief. I… I poured all of it into the embryo. My hate, my sorrow, my desire for a weapon…"

Sunny's mind flashed to his own demigod creations, to the personalities he had so carefully imbued in each of them: Nova's pride and care, Loki's mischief, Shenlong's compassion and so on.

"Yes," Sunny said, his voice a low hum of understanding. "That is the most accurate explanation. Our mentality when we create them… it shapes their very souls."

He looked at the assembly of 6 billion Gods and declared "This will be the first voting of the Pantheon, You, the 5.5 billion Gods who have joined the pantheon, will vote on the punishment for this demigod and for God Venus."

This statement sent a ripple through the Gods. The Pantheon members felt a surge of inclusion, of purpose.

But the 500 million other Gods, the subordinates like Sheeren, felt a chilling, profound dread. They had not been included. They were not part of the Pantheon.

They were merely protected by it. They had no voice. They had no vote. They were, in this new world order, just like birds living in the protection of their cages, their fates entirely in the hands of the Emperor and his chosen.

"Just keep in mind," Sunny added, his gaze sweeping over the Gods, his eyes lingering on those whose auras pulsed with a hidden, vindictive hunger, "that Venus will not be given a death sentence. Now… let the judgment begin."
