Global Gods : Skill-Resonance Awakened

Chapter 251: Ch 251 : I am The God of The Gods

Sunny sat on his throne, the silence of the palace a soothing peace after the last few hours. 'Am I finally free?' he wondered, leaning back.

Since the dawn of the 11th godly day, his existence had not been at rest for a single second.

The tournament that had spanned years, the frantic construction of the City of Gods, the instructions given to Builder, the grand inauguration, the copying of Adam's talent, and finally, the grueling, five-hour breakthrough that had reshaped his very being.

He was physically free, his divine body humming with new, SS-Grade power.

But his mind? His mind was a battlefield that had never slept. Even now, unwanted thoughts clawed at his peace.

'How will I defeat the Demon Lords? What lies in the Real Void beyond Lady Sansa? Am I just a bug in a bigger jar?'

"Oh God! Why can't I rest?" he groaned aloud, rubbing his masked temples. Then he chuckled, a dry, hollow sound. 'Who am I complaining to? I am the God.'

He opened his eyes, pushing the thought about resting aside. It was time for the next phase.

"Thea," he commanded, his voice echoing in the empty hall. "What is the status of the Earthling souls?"

[Master, In the accelerated centuries that have passed on Earth, we have successfully captured and preserved exactly 200 Great Souls.]

"Perfect," Sunny said, a genuine spark of excitement returning to his eyes.

He remembered the special zone he had created in the subspace of Earth, a pocket of frozen time, a place where the souls of the truly exceptional were stored the moment they died, waiting for his call.

"The battle is drawing near. We cannot wait any longer. It is time to deploy them."

He snapped his fingers.

Flash.

Before the sound of the snap could even fade, the empty space before his throne was filled.

Two hundred shimmering, translucent figures materialized from nothingness.

For a moment, there was silence. Then, slowly, dramatically, the souls began to awaken.

"Where… am I?" a deep, gruff voice rumbled. The speaker was a man whose soul radiated a potent mixture of masculinity and fierce protectiveness. He looked around, his spectral eyes wide. "Am I… finally in Heaven?"

He noticed the 199 other confused souls around him, but his gaze was inevitably drawn upward, to the high throne where a figure cloaked in the cosmos sat, currently this being's face wasn't visible as a blue panel seperated him and the souls.

The pressure radiating from Sunny was not threatening, but it was absolute. It demanded respect.

This soul was Gora, a legendary general from an ancient era of Earth.

He had died on a battlefield, holding a mountain pass alone to protect the women and children of his country from invaders.

He was a man who understood authority, and he knew he was in the presence of the supreme commander.

Sunny was currently looking at the system panel, processing the data of every soul before him.

Doctors, generals, artists, scientists, gamers… each one a pinnacle of their field, a life lived with such intensity it had burned a mark on history.

"Welcome, everyone!" Sunny's voice boomed, warm and welcoming. "Welcome to the City of Gods."

"The City of Gods? Is this some kind of prank?" a younger voice cut in, laced with skepticism.

The speaker was a young man with sharp, intelligent eyes. "This is a virtual world, isn't it? Another level? A hidden quest?"

This was Shiro, a legendary gamer from the 21st century. He was a prodigy who had dominated every genre he touched, a man who saw the world as code and mechanics.

"What is… a virtual world?" another soul asked, his voice calm and scholarly. He wore the spectral robes of an ancient physician.

This was Sushruta, the father of surgery, a man who had performed miracles of healing millennia before modern medicine existed.

"You don't even know about virtual reality?" a third soul scoffed. This was Kirito, a survivor of the great VRMMO incident of the 22nd century, where thousands had been trapped in a death game. "Are we even from the same world?"

"Let me clear your doubts," Sunny said, standing up.

He removed the system panel that hid his mask.

BOOM.

A wave of majesty washed over the 200 souls. It wasn't an attack; it was simply the weight of his existence.

Every single soul, from the defiant gamer to the proud general, fell to their knees.

It wasn't forced. Their legs simply gave way under the sheer, instinctive need to show reverence to a higher being.

They looked up at the cosmic robe, at the swirling galaxies in the eyeholes of the mask, and they knew this was something out of ordinary..... No virtual world could do something like this.

Sunny waved his hand, suppressing back the pressure so they could speak.

"You are all from Earth," he explained gently. "But you are from different eras. Some of you walked the earth thousands of years ago. Others died only a few decades before the present day."

The eyes of the souls widened. The younger ones looked at the older ones with dawning recognition.

Shiro stared at Sushruta, realizing he was standing next to a figure from his history textbooks.

While Gora looked at the strange clothes of the modern souls with confusion and wonder.

"The only thing common among you," Sunny continued, "is that you were the best. You were professionals. You were pioneers. You gave everything you had to your world. And because of that… you have earned a second chance."

"Another… life?" Gora whispered, his voice trembling. To a man who thought his duty had ended in death, this was a shock.

"Are we getting Isekai'd?!" Shiro shouted, a grin splitting his face. "For real?!"

"Yes. Another life," Sunny confirmed. He waved his hand, and a colossal, detailed hologram of his new universe appeared in the air. six billion worlds rotated slowly before them.

"These are the worlds under my protection," Sunny said. He zoomed in on a random planet, showing lush forests, strange beasts, and primitive civilizations building their first cities.

"Your souls will be sent to one of these worlds. You will be reborn. You will use your talents, your knowledge, and your unique perspectives to help these worlds grow. To lead them. To heal them. To defend them."

"So… you are really… God?" a soul asked from the back. He was a scientist, a staunch atheist who had spent his life dismantling superstition.

But now, staring at the holographic universe and the being who commanded it, his worldview lay in shatters.

"The God?" Sunny chuckled, the sound echoing with amusement. "No. I am not the only God."

He gestured to the walls of the palace, beyond which lay the City of Gods. "There are six billion more Gods living in this city."

He leaned forward, his voice dropping to a whisper that sent shivers through their spectral forms.

"But I… I am the God of those Gods."
