Therefore Evelynn simply sighed and left all three of them to there devices since she saw no reason to waste her energy on convincing three brats who had already made there minds that it was there faults for failing to catch the assassin.
Anyways, she had more important things to do than try to convince Luna, Wix and Freya otherwide. One of them being finding out the identities of the perpetrators who had the guts strong enough to actually issue an assassination on her disciple.
It didn't matter to her if it was a Divine or many Divine's or what there motives were or why they had tried to assassinate a progenitor or even where did they got such a ridiculous idea to began with.
All that mattered were the once who had planned for this so called assassination. And not there so-called reasons behind there actions besides the moment she got her hands on the coward or cowards who had commanded this assassination she would be thoroughly slaughtering every single one of them.. with delight.
Anyways.. She was pissed really bad by the whole experience, just the thought of some stupid b***h having enough audacity to actually put an assassination order on her disciple made her heart burst in fury like never before. She had never felt so infuriated in all her long life.
Nevertheless she already knew that Luna, Wix and Freya weren't so weak-willed enough to actually break down over something so simply like that and would be back to normal within an hour or two.
After they come out of there self dejected emotional state and saw the situation more calmly, with some clarity than they would certainly understand as for what had actually happened.
"Anyways. You're right Wix, we should indeed go and check upon Master Black, just to be sure." Freya smiled and nodded in agreement.
However as she saw that she had gained both Luna and Wix's full attention now, she further added trying to reassure her two sisters..
"Besides you two sisters of mine should've been with me last night, since I had a lot of fun torturing that assassin, that dared to target our most beloved master, all night." Freya chuckled joyfully. Her sweet voice rippling like a melody in the air.
Freya further shared her experience of how much she enjoyed torturing the assassin and how she actually tortured him like sharing a childs bed time story, her somber mood returning to normal when she remembered how the assassin had wailed and screamed in pain and agony.
"Heh! Looking at your jovial expression it indeed sounds like something fun to do." Wix snickered. "Now even I'm curious to try my hands at it ~ "
"I don't understand, why would you waste your time torturing an insect who tried to harm our Master."
Luna questioned, unable to compherend Freya's actions.
Well, of course she couldn't compherend Freya's actions since she actually considered the assassin's whole existence equivalent to that of an insect and one doesn't go around torturing a bug, instead they simply squash it beneath there feet.
Meanwhile Freya pursed her lips now stuck in a predicament although she already knew why Luna had asked her, such a silly question, however she didn't know how to explain the difference between the two concepts to Luna.
Besides even if she told her that one was an unintelligent insect while the other was an intelligent assassin she was talking about, nevertheless Luna would simply tilt her head to the side like a confused cat.. or wolf, since she actually saw no difference between the two things whether it be unintelligent or it be intelligent.
As in her eyes the assassin had lost all of its intelligence becoming unintelligent when he decided to attack Black. Since if he was intelligent he wouldn't have done that.
Therefore with a gloomy sigh, Freya opened her mouth. "Since I couldn't be with my Master last night, therefore I decided to comfort myself by torturing the unintelligent insect who tried to harm our Master.. I suppose ~ "
"Anyways, forget that useless thing, instead tell me.. " Luna waved her hand to show her disinterest in the topic regarding the torture of the assassin and asked another question that had been on her mind for a while now.
"Did you found out why we were unable to sense that assassin. I don't think we are so weak and pathetic enough that we are actually unable to sense even a early rank one Pseudo-Divine Phase assassin." Luna asked, her voice cold even emotionless.
Wix further added. "That would've still been impossible even if the assassin had a Peak Level Pseudo-Divine Grade Artifact with himself to conceal his presence from us."
However Wix couldn't shrug this strange feeling that made her feel like as if she was forgetting something. Nonetheless she quickly shook her head with a thought that it must just be her imagination, as she gazed at Freya, waiting for her response..
Freya pursed her lips again, not knowing how to broach the topic, however in the end, she just decided to go with the flow and drop the matter in one go.
Nevertheless before speaking, she still took the last sip of her tea which had almost cooled down by now, to calm her mind while sighing inwardly, than she opened her mouth..
"Certainly! I indeed found out why we were unable to sense the assassin. Although - " She stopped, to properly articulate her words.
Meanwhile both Luna and Wix furrowed there brows in impatience. "So why were we.. " They echoed together.
Freya, than out of the blue summoned, a normal looking dull obsidian colored ring from her own spatial ring.
"Here you go." She mumbled, further clutching the obsidian ring between her thumb and foruefingers, showing it to the two impatient twin sisters.
"Look at this." She whispered with a low voice. Pointing at the obsidian ring with her other hand.
"This is the reason why both the protective inscriptions and runes of the so-called luxurious mansion and as well as us.. why were we all unable to detect the presence and aura of that assassin, even after he successfully broke into the mansion, this is the artifact that had helped him achieve that, while also helping him quiet easily evading our senses at the same time." She explained in the easiest way she possibly could.
"You can't be serious." Wix shook her head. "It is such an ordinary looking obsidian ring.. besides it's runes are so dull that I can't even tell if it even has any to began with.. or even if it do have the runes themselves. However, how can such dull runes be strong enough to actually help that assassin evade our senses with such ease."
Wix refused to accept Freya's claim. She didn't even examine the ring before coming to such a decision. However it wasn't her fault either since the condition of the obsidian ring was certainly bad enough that she outright denied even the thought of examining it.
However she became even more confused when she saw Luna, her twin sister, taking the artifact ring from Freya's hand with a careful motion, nevertheless when she heard what Luna uttered next, her mind completely went blank.
"It's a Divine Grade Artifact." Luna mumbled, her breath caught in her throat, her expression grim.
"That certainly explains, why we were unable to sense the bastard." Luna for the first time cursed, her eyes burning in anger. As she eyed the obsidian ring in her hands.
