The third day of Ethan's disappearance.
Sofia had barely eaten for two days.
On the first day, she couldn't reach Ethan's home by phone, only assuming he had truly gone on a trip.
But by the second day, she heard rumors that Ethan had died.
The newspaper the second day, apart from still reporting the aurora over the sea from that night, was also reporting that Ethan seemed to have disappeared.
Journalists could no longer find him.
His business ventures were also experiencing disruptions.
Among them, his craft factory had already shut down, and some hotels and bars had paused operations.
Some tabloids even directly claimed he had been killed by enemies, along with his core members being wiped out.
The surname Bolita had already been removed from Wenster.
Sofia usually never read those tabloids, but now she had no choice but to seek information from them.
She still didn't believe Ethan was the leader of the Mafia, yet she worried about his life and death.
She repeatedly sent people to Bolita Manor to gather information.
But every time, they were turned away.
Today, the servant told her that the manor seemed vacant.
All of these situations left her with no appetite.
And to make matters worse, her father also appeared to be in serious trouble, either locking himself in the study all day or wandering outside.
All at once, she felt like the most pitiful and helpless little girl in the world.
And Ned indeed had encountered big trouble.
He was indeed the master of the Judicial Hall, one of the most powerful in Wenster, normally without any threat or harm to him.
Not even from Governor Oswaldo.
But Solomon had arrived.
He could now confirm that Solomon was coming after him.
Recently, many of his subordinates had been investigated.
Including some businessmen and lawyers close to him.
Although Solomon hadn't acted against him yet, it didn't mean he would really let him go.
After all, it was the Kingdom Defense Bureau.
He was now overwhelmed, unable to handle other matters, like Ethan.
He naturally knew something had happened to Ethan.
But he was struggling to protect himself.
And actually, if Ethan was really dead, it might not be so bad.
That way, at least, fewer of his secrets would be exposed.
————————
Where there is worry, there naturally is joy.
On the third day of Ethan's disappearance.
Albertine received a reappointment from Marvin, returning to the Prohibition Bureau.
Indeed, he was reinstated.
There were two reasons.
First, Marvin somewhat understood that Vincent's disappearance, along with Ethan's subsequent disappearance, had some connection to Albertine.
This was a reward, to some extent.
Second, after Ethan's disappearance, the situation in Wenster had changed again.
The originally fake triangle, a substantive two-way confrontation.
Now with one of the strengths gone, it had truly become a case of one dominant player.
The remaining Evans Clan's George was completely inadequate.
Though one seller of illicit alcohol was removed with Ethan gone, an unobstructed Sandro was not necessarily weakened.
The Prohibition Bureau might face a more serious challenge.
Marvin genuinely had no one to rely on and could only bring Albertine back.
However, before officially reinstating Albertine, Marvin still engaged him in a deep conversation.
"Albertine, my willingness to have you back doesn't mean I've forgiven you; listen, cut the old habits, and use your intellect wisely, don't let it run wild."
"Yes, sir." Albertine appeared formal as he gave Marvin a Kingdom military salute.
Actually, there was no remorse in his eyes hidden beneath his glasses.
"One more thing, do you have any ties to the Sun God Sect?"
Marvin wasn't a fool; he had been to the scene that day, vaguely sensing the Sun God Sect's aura.
Vincent's disappearance was definitely related to the Sun God Sect.
"Don't worry, sir, it was just a one-time collaboration, weren't they gone already?" Albertine said this, walking to the window, looking at the distant sea.
The aurora that night was indeed beautiful.
Ethan, are you sleeping well at the bottom of the sea?
"Better be like this, you should understand how sensitive the Sun God Sect is." Marvin really didn't believe him, but given the situation, he didn't say much.
He hoped Albertine could distinguish between priorities.
"Perhaps we should discuss the new action plan; I've heard Sandro has big moves planned..."
Sandro indeed has big moves.
He was already working on consolidating the entire Wenster's underground forces.
On the third day of Ethan's disappearance.
Actually, the whole underground world of Wenster was already in chaos.
The Bolita Clan was even more panic-stricken to the extreme.
No one knew where Ethan was.
More importantly, even Anya and Virel were nowhere to be found.
Only Palon, previously considered half his own by Ethan, was left, but he also knew nothing.
Originally, these days also went smoothly for him; thanks to his playful nature and ability, he was quite popular in Wenster's social circles.
He almost forgot he was part of the Mafia, thinking he had entered high society.
Then Ethan disappeared.
Haska was the first to find him.
These days, they were comrades, risking their lives in taverns, enchanting countless young women and housewives.
This time Haska also felt uneasy; he was originally ousted from the position of one of the five families, now that Ethan disappeared, possibly dead.
What to do for him?
George was still alive...
"Why don't we go find Sandro?"
Haska's hand shaking on the cigarette indicated his intentions clearly — seek allegiance with Sandro, help him completely devour the Bolita Clan.
With Ethan gone, they were actually quite influential figures.
"I... I won't go."
Palon also trembled, actually wanting to escape Wenster now, to anywhere, after all, he had saved quite a bit these days.
But then he remembered that evening at the banquet in Bolita Manor.
That night, he chose to stand with Ethan.
Should he really leave?
Was Ethan really dead?
Palon didn't want to believe it in his heart.
Initially afraid, he later somewhat admired this younger man than himself.
He was invincible.
Would he really die so quietly?
Just when the two were still fretting over whether to stay or leave, the clever ones had already arrived outside Sandro's castle.
Facing Emilio stationed outside, that person slightly lowered his head, humbly expressing, "Please report, Eugene from the Bolita Clan has come to pay respects to His Excellency Sandro!"
