Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 544: Identity Exposed

"Well then, Merina, what do you know about the death of Morvain?" one of the priests asked, glancing at the beautiful young woman before him.

The other five priests standing behind him also nodded, clearly a bit confused and curious. They had been tending to their own affairs when this girl suddenly contacted them, claiming she had discovered something about Morvain's death.

But she said the information was extremely dangerous and that she needed to tell them in person. So, without wasting time, they came directly to Morvain's house, the very place where he had taken his own life.

Now they were waiting to hear what this girl knew about the man's death and supposed suicide.

"Priest Morvain didn't commit suicide! It was actually a murder!" Merina said nervously, her voice trembling. In truth, she hadn't known at first that the priest was going to kill himself.

But Drael had told her that the man was tormented by guilt over the things he had done and that he couldn't hold himself back any longer, so he took his own life.

Even though she was saddened and felt guilty, she couldn't do anything about it.

Now Drael had come to her again, asking her to help save the other priests from the Evil.

"Murder? How can you be so sure?" one of the priests raised his eyebrows in surprise, unable to stop himself from asking.

In fact, they too had suspected that this suicide was likely a murder, but there had never been any proof to confirm it.

The others also grew more alert, waiting for the girl's answer. If they could really prove it was a murder, then people's trust in the temple would rise again, even stronger than before.

The greater the people's faith, the stronger they would become.

"Because I told him to."

Before Merina could even answer, the space around them suddenly sealed shut.

A heavy, sinister presence filled the air. They all felt an overwhelming sense of dread in their hearts.

The space in front of them shattered, and a handsome young man stepped out of the void, smiling at them.

"You!" one of the priests shouted, recognizing the face, he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

That young man was none other than Daniel.

"Thanks for your help. Leave the rest to me," Daniel said as he glanced at Merina. With a flick of his hand, the girl vanished from the spot.

Then he turned toward the priests. Just feeling his gaze made cold sweat drip down their faces. They could feel their very existence beginning to crumble.

"You were behind all of this!" one of them managed to say, forcing the words out with great effort.

They weren't fools, it wasn't hard to guess what was really happening. But that only made the situation more terrifying.

The young man they once saw as weak, someone they had debated whether to kill or not, had been behind everything all along?

Their minds buzzed with disbelief. Did that mean this man had even deceived the Grand Priest himself?

"You're smarter than I thought," Daniel laughed, clearly amused that they had caught on so quickly.

"But how?! We were sure you had no power!"

"Does it matter?" Daniel shrugged lazily. "Either way, you're all going to become my slaves today."

"Your slaves? It doesn't matter how powerful you are, there's no way you can defeat all of us alone," one of the priests growled mockingly.

"I've already done it once," Daniel said with a lazy yawn.

"Once? Wait— you don't mean—!"

Their eyes widened in shock as realization struck. They stared at the young man before them in utter disbelief.

They had thought he was merely behind the rumors, not the actual monster that attacked the temple a few nights ago, the one that had defeated all the priests.

If that was true… didn't that mean they were going to die today?

Without saying another word, they immediately tried to activate their powers to break the seal and escape.

Now that they knew this man was the monster who attacked them that night, they had no intention of fighting him, only to flee.

What a joke. That night, their numbers had been several times greater, and they had still lost. Now, with only a few of them here, they didn't stand a chance.

Daniel laughed when he saw how desperately they were trying to break the seal. No matter how hard they tried, there was no way they could shatter it.

"As long as you surrender, I'll spare your lives," he said calmly, as if discussing something ordinary.

"Hmph, don't even think about it! We are followers of God! Even if we die, we will never surrender to an Evil like you!"

"That's right! You even killed Priest Morvain! Either way, you'll kill us in the end!"

"Well, I warned you," Daniel sighed, stretching out his hand as his sword materialized.

As The Heavens Honor appeared, the space around them shook violently, and a dark aura of death spread through the area. The priests began to suffocate, struggling to breathe properly.

"Wait! I remember now, you underwent the Divine Baptism! As long as you've gone through that, it means you're also a follower of God! If you kill one of us, you'll be severely punished!" one of the priests shouted suddenly, recalling something.

His words sparked a glimmer of hope in the others' eyes. He was right, anyone who had undergone the Divine Baptism was a follower of God, and killing another follower would bring divine punishment.

That was why they had never suspected this young man and his friend of killing Morvain, it should have been impossible for someone who had undergone the Divine Baptism to do such a thing.

But wait… if this man had gone through the Baptism and still managed to kill Morvain

A chilling shiver ran down their spines, and that brief spark of hope instantly turned into despair.

"Looks like you figured it out before I even explained," Daniel said with a grin.

"you're right, the Divine Baptism doesn't affect me." He smiled as he spoke

though to their eyes, that smile looked no different from the grin of the Devil.
