The guardian no longer looked like the creature Daniel had killed many times before. Its presence bent the space itself, as if the third floor had condensed around it.

"I should have kept my mouth shut," Daniel muttered. Seeing the creature finally move, he did not know whether to laugh or cry. Just moments ago, he had been complaining that it was not fighting, and now it moved.

It was not that he was afraid. Still, he was worried, because he did not know exactly how to deal with this creature, or how to kill it.

Every time he destroyed it, it clearly rebuilt itself stronger. Just by looking at the energy coming from its body now, he could tell it was only slightly weaker than him. The first time he killed it, it was only at F rank.

If he destroyed it one more time, would that not mean it would return even stronger, at his level or maybe even above him?

The body collapsed. However, it did not take long before the guardian formed again. This time, a new aura wrapped around its body. It was clear that its aura had become even stronger, strong enough to make Daniel frown.

If this continued, it could become dangerous for him.

[ Timeless Shell ]

The lightning Daniel summoned hit the shell and slid off it like rain on glass. The lightning energy was not absorbed, not blocked, it simply had no effect.

"So it's not resistance… it's indifference." Daniel clenched his teeth. He realized that this creature's ability was canceling all of his attacks.

Seeing that he had no choice, he stretched out his hand, and a sword appeared in it.

He raised the sword.

An aura of destruction wrapped around the blade, and a vertical strike split the space itself. The ground was cut in two, the silver light went out, and the guardian was completely erased for a moment.

But when it returned, it was stronger.

This time, the guardian's body was made of multiple overlapping layers. Every strike Daniel landed only destroyed one layer.

The guardian counterattacked. Its fist hit Daniel's chest with heavy force. Bones cracked. Daniel was thrown backward, blood flowing from the corner of his mouth. Mana Healing activated immediately and repaired his injury.

"It's already reached the point where it can hurt me with pure power," Daniel muttered and became more serious. The situation was getting worse.

The guardian moved forward.

He growled.

Then it returned again.

Daniel groaned. His mind worked at full speed, trying to find a way to completely destroy this creature and understand the true goal of this floor. However, there was not enough information for proper reasoning.

Unlike the previous floors, this creature did not even speak, so it could not guide him in any way.

In the previous floors, the attacker would always talk. They would guide him with their words, lead him toward understanding the purpose of the floor, and even help him clear it.

But on this floor, there was nothing like that. From the beginning until now, this creature had not spoken a single word. It practically ignored him completely.

"This is really a pain in the ass," Daniel muttered. Even though he was complaining, he wasn't truly hopeless. On the contrary, despite how annoying and frustrating this creature was, he had learned a lot about the law of Eternity through this battle.

Breathing heavily, Daniel was forced to retreat.

"I see… so this is the solution," he murmured to himself. Finally, he understood what he had to do.

He had misunderstood.

It wasn't that this creature wasn't guiding him. Unlike the previous floors, instead of speaking, it was guiding and helping him through its actions.

And the whole time, he had been ignoring that fact.

He set the sword aside. He raised his fists. A familiar aura wrapped around them. Not death. Not lightning. It was the energy of eternity.

The guardian attacked.

Daniel stepped forward, this time not to kill, but to deny.

His fist landed, infused with the law of eternity. The strike did not target the body, but the "cycle" itself.

The creature's body collapsed, and it returned again. However, this time, unlike before, it did not become stronger.

Instead, it became weaker.

"Eternity means continuing as long as there is meaning," Daniel took a deep breath and said. A smile appeared on his face.

At last, he understood what he had to do.
