It might sound weird that one would just disappear but it does happen and is quiet shocking.
(She stops explaining for the time being)
I didn't really think much about how the Monarch's were structured but I guess that makes sense. Modeled after the sins, a story that most people know about.
This guy must've come from a world with something very similar, but I wouldn't have expected any of this.
The need to cause chaos is something that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Maybe it's because I don't have that kind of mindset, it doesn't suit me in the slightest.
He is trying to be this insane ruler who can control all of these places with overwhelming chaos.
God being aware of all of this is also kind of baffling to me since he could've tried to stop him. Yet it doesn't seem like he could, I don't really understand the logic behind any of this.
God should've been able to stop the monarch of chaos, what was he hiding from everyone?
"One slipped away? That's surprising." I say with a calm tone.
"I don't know much about the one that did, but it means that there will always be one out there that isn't working for the monarch of chaos." Ally replies with a bit of relief.
Makes sense that she would feel some relief about that since these guys are definitely way more powerful than me. I have been working on getting strong enough to face them but I still am so far from it.
I'll get there at some point or another, that's the whole point of climbing these stupid towers. Getting stronger and making sure others don't have to die in the process.
There's so much to everything I do lately that it is definitely a bit tiring.
"Anything else you can tell me about these Monarch's or maybe even the demon realms?" I ask with a curious tone.
The demon 7 demon realms sounds like it might be one of the next places I visit since they are also suffering.
"I guess I could talk about the demon realms, it has been awhile since I have." Ally answers with a bit of shock in her voice.
(Ally begins to talk about the 7 Demon Realms)
Ashline, Gravemind, Vyre, Dreadspire, Hexvale, Iron Abyss, and Nexora. Those are the main realms of which the demons come from.
All of them are different from one another with a completely different environment from one another.
The biggest realm of them all that was the most important one, was Nexora. Nexora is where the demon sovereign resides and he watched over all of the realms.
Making sure to keep each one under control since most had issues with one another.
Nexora was a realm that still lives within the "medieval" times, at least that's how your kind would refer to it. They relied on swords, axes, and the like to fight against one another.
Magic was also a main source for them to use as well but they lived a lot like people from that time.
Kingdoms existed and one major kingdom was in charge of everything, the one where the sovereign ruled. He was doing good watching over the realms until the monarch of chaos showed up.
Bringing the towers to these realms, the rise of dungeons, and new threats to the demon realms. Giving a variety of powerful humans to attack them in their homes.
"So these demons were attacked by humans in their realms?" I question with a bit of confusion.
"Having humans attack the realms was a tactic the monarch used to make the demons despite humans." Ally responds with a serious tone.
They were the main stepping stone to make demons hate the humans, allowing for them to become a part of the monarch's army. But not all of the demons believed that the humans were behind this.
A lot of rumors were thrown around since a demon witnessed the appearance of the monarch and that demon managed to escape.
They told the others about what they witnessed but it didn't work out in their favor. This resulted in them being thrown out of the demon realms.
No one wanted to lose their lives to the monarch of chaos or the demon sovereign.
The sovereign is just a bit under the strength of one of the strongest angels. They are truly a strong being, but even they couldn't defy the monarch.
(She stops explaining for a few moments.)
So the heavenly realm couldn't handle this monarch of chaos and the seven demon realms also couldn't deal with him. There's a lot to unpack with that information alone.
This is also only one realm that he started with, skipping out on the other ones entirely.
He definitely knew what he was doing with taking over Nexora before moving along with his plan. Allowing for the hatred of humans made his job a lot easier.
Demons wouldn't defy him since they know that humans are the enemy, and the sovereign helps with reinforcing that idea.
They became pawns of the monarch, how sad.
I'm wondering if the demon she's referring to is Lilly. It would make a lot of sense with why she was chained up within that dungeon that I found her in.
Her lack of memory also would add up with this whole story.
"Did the sovereign even try to defy the monarch?" I ask with a serious, yet curious tone.
"No one knows what happened between the two of them since it was behind closed doors." Ally answers without hesitation.
Behind closed doors, of course. If people witness the deal made between them, it would only show that the sovereign can't be trusted.
The seven demon realms is definitely going to be one hell of a time to travel through. Each of them are going to hate me because of the fact that I'm human.
But I might be able to learn even more when I go there, maybe even find some more strength in the process.
Freeing them from the control of the monarch would also be beneficial since it would mean that I'm closer to achieving my goal.
I don't really have a single clue about how to get there though, that itself is a mystery to me. I'm sure I can ask Lilly about it when I get done with this tower.
For now I'm stuck by myself. Clearing these damn floors until I reach the top of the tower.
At least Ally can provide me with some useful information before I continue on my climb. That alone will make the stop on this floor worth the time, something that I haven't gotten to say about the others.
"Would you like me to continue?" Ally asks.
"Yes, continue." I respond while looking back towards her.
(Ally continues to talk about the demon realms.)
Nexora did alright defending against the waves that were brought up on them but the blood was definitely shed. A lot of demons died during the waves and it was quite brutal for a lot of them.
This was just the beginning of it all though since Nexora was the biggest priority.
But a lot like the world outside of this tower, the demons also had awakenings from the events caused. Allowing for demons to get even stronger from these awakenings, giving birth to a ranking system.
A lot of them are high ranking demons because of the power they awakened, but I'm sure you'll meet them at some point or another.
They didn't get blessed with talents like the humans did outside of this tower but the awakenings were given to every place that the monarch visited.
But this caused even more problems in the realms because now the sovereign wasn't the strongest demon amongst the realms. Demons were rising quickly in ranks throughout the other realms.
The Iron Abyss, one of the other realms, came up with a way to track the rankings. Coming up guilds just like you have in the world outside the tower.
But I don't think they called them guilds, just share the same purpose. They started to pose a threat to the sovereign since he was relying on his strength originally.
The Monarch didn't give him any extra strength for this, but an uprising was bound to happen since demons didn't like him to begin with.
Fear was the main thing holding most of them back for the longest time.
"Wouldn't this just cause problems for the monarch?" I ask, interrupting briefly.
"Not entirely. They were still against the humans so it didn't matter if they had internal issues." Ally answers.
More and more bloodshed happened because of these issues. People wanted to be above others and this continued to be the problem at hand.
It wasn't something that could be prevented anymore either.
(She stops after that suddenly.)
So demons weren't for this monarch either apparently.
