The red-robed man's face paled, unable to stand the aura of the figure next to him. "A weapon spirit?" Blood Reign looked at him like he was dirt. "Kneel when you speak to him, or I will make you bleed until you understand."
The red-robed man looked at her defiantly. "I will not kneel to anyone besides my God. You are merely a weapon spirit. Who do you think you are-" Even as he was in the midst of speaking, a crushing force landed on him, making him crumble and fall to the ground.
"Devour every drop of blood running through his veins, my liege. This is my first gift to you for putting up with my uselessness."
Damon tiredly chuckled. "Don't beat yourself up. If I had been stronger, you wouldn't have been pushed so far. As for this person, I am afraid things are going to get tricky if I kill him and devour his blood essence. He is a player and now he knows about you. He cannot escape our control."
"Say no more, my liege. I understand."
The next moment, blood red bars appeared all around the red-robed figure. The man started panicking. He unleashed some sort of aura, a very powerful one to break out of his suppressed state and tried to slash at the red bars.
But it was useless. No matter how much he struggled, he simply couldn't do anything to those bars.
Damon was also shocked. It was surprisingly a much stronger prison even in comparison with the one the legendary item horn had created a while ago, instantly killing three Blood Generals.
Unlike that golden cage, this red cage did not actively try to kill the man. Instead, the cage along with the red robed figure completely disappeared.
Blood Reign turned to Damon and bowed. "Already taken care of, my liege. What shall we do next? Slaughter everyone here?" Even though her eyes weren't all that clearly visible, Damon could see the stars twinkling in them.
He couldn't help but laugh at the sight of his favorite evil girl. "Yup, that would be our next step. But first tell me, what happened to that guy?"
Blood Reign smiled. "He is our prisoner now. Well, now and forever."
"Huh?" Damon was once again shocked. He did not know that Blood Reign could even do such a thing.
"I heard what that fool said when he was fighting with you, my liege. Such disrespect should not go unpunished. If he had such a big issue with your fighting style, then he can stay behind and become a stepping stone for you, my liege. This is a blessing for him. Even if he tirelessly worked his entire pathetic lifetime, he wouldn't have run into such a good fortune. To become a training dummy for you, my liege, will be the greatest purpose of his life."
Damon bitterly smiled. "I guess that's one way to go about it."
He still did not know how exactly the skill worked and how he could 'access' him again but that was something that could wait. Right now, they were in the middle of an intense battle where everything around them was pretty much going to shit, thanks to the small diversion Damon had to take.
"Let's talk about that guy later. How are you doing now? Are you fine? Have you fully recovered?"
Blood Reign giggled sweetly. "Awww. I am so glad to see that you are still as fond of me as ever, my liege. Even if you have many other women at the moment to fullfill your heart's desires."
Damon's face twitched. Yup, she was back indeed. He completely ignored her words and asked the next important question. "What was dagger you absorbed? Do you think there are more weapons nearby that you could eat and become more powerful?"
Blood Reign laughed again. "My liege, that isn't possible. I was only able to absorb the dagger because its weapon spirit was weaker than me, and because it was made, at least in part, from the same material as I am. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to do such a thing at least in my current state. For a weapon spirit to truly feed me, we need to have some sort of synergy."
Damon nodded. "Okay, I will keep that in mind. I am sure we can run into something similar in the future and get you some more power. Right now, I am busy so I will get back to my work. You can rest in the meantime."
Unexpectedly, Blood Reign became very frustrated after hearing the remark. "NOOOOOOO! My liege! Please don't bench me again! I have only just now had a full meal and I still have all the excess energy you fed me from that bead. I need to run amok and cause chaos. Otherwise, I will go crazy from being cooped up all the time. Please let me play. Please. Please. Pretty please. Also, call me little red, my liege."
Damon's head ached from the fast barrage of the mental messages. This troublemaker was once again at it. "Fine, do whatever you want. Why will I want to bench someone powerful like you? Go and run wild and kill whoever you want. We need to win this fight and that's all that matters."
Damon did not care at all and agreed. He also did not include her in his plan. It was not like she could do anything substantial. She was still only a fractured weapon spirit separated from her true weapon. Even if she was a legendary item, there wouldn't be much to expect from her.
His attention instead shifted to the western and the eastern battlefields were mass destruction skills were now starting to congeal in the skies above. He could see divine and holy skills right off the bat.
Clearly, this was not theirs and the other side had started making their move. He needed to get in now. Otherwise, their base would be wiped out in the blink of an eye.
Damon did not hesitate anymore and blinked away at top-speed, his mana core still burning with energy. However, he froze for a moment as he realized Blood Reign didn't exactly move with him.
