SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God

Chapter 519: Impossible

"Divine Rule! Third Verdict! Soul shatter!" Michael's voice boomed on the battleground and for a moment, everything stopped. The three divine hands slammed down with the force of divine wrath made manifest.

Aurora, already on the brink, screamed silently as the hand grasped her mid-air and squeezed. Her body convulsed as she was completely trapped and unable to free herself. It looked like even her mana flow was stopped.

She was fully arrested but the hand did not stop with that. It kept squeezing her more and more. She struggled, choking and gasping, the light from her eyes slowly dimming. Her wings burned to ash, her eyes rolled back and her entire body twitched and writhed.

The other two hands reached Kate and Ellora. Kate's blood spheres screamed in unison, forming a barrier that shattered on impact. She was blasted away, skidding across the dirt, barely alive. The hand then grasped her and lifted her up in the air, squeezing her more and more.

Ellora, too, was flung like a doll, her robes torn, her face pale as death. The third hand clutched her and began the torture.

Michael silently stood watching the torture with clear amusement in his eyes. "Filth and trash. You do not deserve to live in the Kingdom of my God." The man barely spared a glance at Kate and Ellora and directly walked over to Aurora.

"I didn't think I will be killing you today. Aurora, the commoner born with the divine bloodline but see what you did to yourself. You could have become someone great, someone who ruled this world together with us but now… you've thrown it all away for nothing."

Michael took a deep breath and exhaled and the hands became even more intense. He then once again calmly watched Aurora struggle and choke as he continued. "It doesn't matter anymore but before you die, you should know something. The mongrel you are dying for wants nothing to do with you. He traded you for 2 billion gold coins. You were always just a pawn for him."

He made the hand stop, giving her a temporary reprieve. "How does it feel to know that the person whom are you dying for doesn't really give a shit about you? He sold you for nothing."

Aurora's entire body trembled as she looked up. Michael wanted to see the suffering in her eyes but she merely spat at him and said nothing.

"Hmph. Just die already. You filthy slut." Michael's sigil once again burned brightly and this time veins of gold spread across the hand. The aura around the hand became even more intense and Aurora desperately tried to do everything she could to escape but nothing worked. She was under iron grip.

On the other side, Kate and Ellora were also not doing any better. All three of them were just barely a second away from breaking apart and shattering completely. Golden veins started crawling all over their body as well, the divine energy wrecking havoc in the depths of their being.

Their skin dried up and started peeling. Their flesh caked and became brittle, like scorched parchment clinging desperately to crumbling bone. Even their mana began to dissipate into the air, unable to circulate under the oppressive grip of divine rule.

Aurora's vision faded in and out. Her mind screamed in despair. She could feel her soul fraying at the edges, feel her connection to everything she was slipping away.

Michael leaned close, extending his hand to touch whatever was left of her face. "This is mercy. You won't even be remembered. Not even a name on a gravestone. Nothing. Now die."

He was just about to send the final bolt of divine energy and slam into her when suddenly a blood barrier appeared in front of him, preventing him from touching her.

Before Michael could react, a wave of blood appeared out of nowhere completely surrounding the golden hand and Aurora.

"What—?!" Michael recoiled, his eyes wide for the first time.

But he quickly regained his composure as the sigil on his forehead once again glowed brightly. The blood sphere immediately began to sizzle as it started becoming smaller and smaller. The golden hand started regaining its power.

Michael sneered. "Resisting is useless. Your death is already written as a divine rule. You have been judged!" He shouted and shifted his attention to the huge blood sphere which was still intact. He gave a cold snort and pulled back the trident, lifting it up, preparing to throw it at the blood sphere.

However, before his attack could connect, a loud whooshing sound caught his attention. His eyes widened as he watched the blood sphere becoming prominent once more. The divine hand, once glowing with authority and sanctified brilliance, trembled.

A powerful blood thirsty aura rippled out of the blood sphere. It became bigger and bigger, until it completely engulfed the golden hand.

"Impossible!" Michael gritted his teeth, unleashing more and more energy from his sigil.

However, it was completely useless. In fact, everything only seemed to get worse. The more power he poured out, the more vicious the blood sphere became. It was as if he was feeding it, rather than fighting it.

Michael refused to believe that his attack could be subdued this easily. He ordered his men to started attacking the blood sphere and he pushed his sigil more and more, trying to empower the hand more.

None of it was working. To make matters worse, the sigil on Michael's forehead started burning. Small cracks spread from it. If one looked closely, Michael's skin started changing and becoming more dry, minor cracks spreading everywhere.

He still held on, refuse to let go. Aurora needed to die today. He pushed more and more until blood started leaking from his sigil.

To Michael's shock, the few drops of blood floated away from his body. His gaze trailed them as he watched them fly to the big blood sphere unable to do anything about it. Then he realized that there was something else wrong.

The big blood sphere now had many cracks on it.
