My God domain is the endless abyss

Chapter 66: Horryfying World

The bottom of the Endless Abyss.

Upon the throne Cillian sat in silence, his eyes reflecting the dark pulse of the void as he watched the actions of Fabudi unfold before him. The scene projected across the Abyss was captivating. Among the many demon princes warring for dominance in the new world above, Fabudi's approach stood apart.

"Using the will of this world itself," Fabudi whispered as his dark magic spread like veins across the land, "I will lure its living beings into corruption, and in the end, my will shall consume theirs."

Cillian leaned forward slightly, his tone approving. "A good idea."

His eyes opened fully, revealing the slow rotation of twin scarlet vortices within.

Through them, his perception extended across the boundaries of the abyss, allowing him to observe the world that Fabudi was trying to corrupt.

What he saw stirred both his intrigue and understanding.

In this newborn realm, rising from the corpse of the old, he perceived an immense consciousness, the will of the world itself. It shimmered with hues of pale green and white, pulsing in harmony with the breath of the world it sustained.

The will absorbed endless sacrifices from its inhabitants, feeding upon their offerings while returning fragments of power in the form of divine [Gifts]. The more they sacrificed, the stronger the world's will became.

Yet to Cillian's gaze, it was not simply gaining strength, it was evolving. Slowly, the will of this world was transforming from a primal instinct into a conscious being. A god of its own making.

But the process needed time, tens of thousands of years, perhaps more.

And time was the one thing this world no longer had.

For the moment it brushed against the edges of the Abyss, its destiny had been rewritten.

As Cillian continued to study the rhythm of its consciousness, another revelation took shape within him. He finally understood the cycle of sacrifice that governed this world. He finally understood why its will needed the offering of life, why its growth was tethered to endless consumption.

The new world was feeding upon the ashes of the old one.

Cillian's gaze shifted downward, through layers of broken dimensions and collapsed domains, until he saw what remained of the ancient world below, stripped bare, and slowly dissolving into essence. The new world above was feeding upon that ruin, absorbing every fragment of energy it could to sustain its birth. It was 'cannibalizing' its own origin.

But just as he focused deeper into the secret world's transformation, something stirred beyond the fogbound borders of the realm.

Far away, in the regions closest to the depths of the Void, two streaks of radiant light shot through the mist.

These were the angels. Moving closer to their destination, but the moment they arrived at the outer rim of the corrupted realm, their wings began to falter. Both stood suspended in the void, their eyes locked on the giant world before them.

"This is…" one angel murmured, his voice trembling.

"What?" the other asked, though his own tone betrayed unease.

When they had first received Peter's command, they expected a simple but dangerous mission, after all the Zerg were supposed to be little more than mindless beasts, feral creatures by any definition of the world.

But what they saw now defied their expectation.

The air itself trembled with endless whispers, dark murmurs that spread through the mist and echoed across every nearby world.

One angel finally spoke again, his voice breaking as he recalled something their lord had said.

"This… this is what the Lord foretold."

The other angel turned toward him, his expression pale, his eyes wide.

"Our mortal enemy."

And as they gazed into the infinite dark, the whispers grew louder..

Elsewhere in the depths of the Void.

"Oh my God, another world had been swallowed by this monster"

One of the angels pointed toward the monstrous [Zerg World] in front of her, her voice trembling as she spoke to her companion.

Before them stretched the enormous Zerg World, drifting through the void like a gluttonous beast, the thing was moving slowly forward, its surface writhing, and its boundaries pulsing, and as it advanced, it devoured two entire secret worlds that lay in its path.

The crystal walls of those realms, which should have resisted any external force, shattered like fragile glass. No protective rule or divine barrier could stop the process. The worlds were swallowed whole, drawn into the Zerg World's gaping maw as easily as a man swallowing an egg.

"It's… a horrifying world," the other angel whispered, her wings trembling.

After a long silence, she spoke again, this time with resolve. "We've found the source of the disturbance in this secret realm. We must return and report to Lord Peter immediately."

Her companion nodded quickly. None of them wished to linger here. Even for celestial beings forged from divine fire, standing before that monstrous world was incredibly unpleasant.

As the two ascended from the depths and began their return journey toward the Angel of Punishment, their path took them across a strange region. There, hanging in the distance, was a dark and twisted world radiating malice, greed, and corruption. It spun slowly, taking the form of a black and crimson vortex.

And just before this vortex floated another world, an "8"-shaped world, its halves intertwined in perfect symmetry.

It was immediately clear that the dark vortex was consuming the world in front of it, just as the Zerg World had done.

"What is that?" one of the angels asked, frowning. "Could it be another branch of the Zerg World?"

Her companion shook her head. "No… this doesn't feel like a secret world. Its structure…it's a divine world. who would create such an ugly thing?"

"Should we mark it?" the first angel asked. "A world this corrupted must be reported to the Lord. Heavens Mountain needs to know."

Both angels, though not powerful enough to challenge what lay within the Endless Abyss, were still born of the highest order of creation. As mythic beings of Mount Heaven, they possessed the power to mark worlds, a divine fire brand that could serve as an anchor, allowing Heaven's gaze to reach across dimensions. These marks were similar to the divine fire carried by Cillian himself. Once placed, they could be used as coordinates for teleportation or observation by the divine world.

But the second angel hesitated, her expression cold and wary. "No need," she said, glancing at the churning darkness before them. "This world will be consumed soon enough. The Zerg World is already approaching. It will devour this abomination like it has every other secret world."

Her tone turned stern. "As the Lord's chosen, we cannot waste the divine fire He entrusted to us."

Without another word, she spread her radiant wings and turned away, heading back toward the region where Peter and the other angels awaited. Her companion gave the Endless Abyss one final look, half in pity, half in disdain, before following her into the void.

Behind them, the vast Zerg World continued its advance, closing the distance between itself and the Endless Abyss.

At the bottom of the Endless Abyss.

Cillian sat upon his throne of bone and shadow, observing everything that the Demon Prince Fabudi was doing with silent amusement.

Indeed, Fabudi had already succeeded in sending a number of demons into the mortal realm. The infiltration was subtle, those demons, cloaked in deceit and charm, had quickly been mistaken for divine emissaries, messengers of the Mother of the World, by the mortals ensnared by Trulgren's faith.

The miracles they displayed were enough to shake even the most skeptical hearts. To the primitive minds of the believers, these beings could only be divine.

As the number of summoned demons increased, so too did the benefits of sacrifice. Fabudi had cleverly used each summoning as a gateway, allowing more abyssal power to seep into the world. And those who performed the sacrifices rejoiced. They discovered that their deepest desires could be granted almost instantly, whether it was strength, knowledge, or forbidden skill, the Abyss delivered.

All it required in return were offerings and soul fragments.

The first demanded a certain level evil; the second demanded only submission.

At first, some among the worshippers doubted. They questioned the origins of these demons, whispering that perhaps they were not true servants of the Mother of the World. But those who dared to speak such thoughts aloud vanished swiftly, offered as sacrifices to the very beings they accused.

In the quiet corners of this seemingly peaceful world, horror began to germinate. The faithful waited in trembling reverence for the day when their so-called Mother of the World would descend in glory. But what they awaited was not salvation, it was the coming of the Abyss.

As Cillian continued to watch Fabudi's progress, a sudden jolt ran through his being.

"What… is this?" he muttered. His gaze lifted beyond the layers of corruption, beyond the writhing demons and devoured realms.

From the depths of the void, a monstrous world was approaching, the same Zerg World that had devoured countless realms, now rushing toward the Endless Abyss with blinding speed.

The moment it reached him, the worlds collided. The Endless Abyss and the realm before it were drawn together in a violent fusion, their boundaries torn apart as they began to devour each other.

At that final instant, as the darkness folded inward, Cillian heard it, the same whisper that had haunted angels and demons alike.

A whisper that echoed from the void, a whisper of hunger.

And as countless gray marks streaked across the endless void toward his throne, the will of the Abyss trembled.
