My All-Heavens Chat Group

Chapter 3 Granting Vitality to the Sun (Second Update)_1

The conference room suddenly fell into absolute silence. Everyone looked at each other, dumbfounded, their eyes filled with regret and sorrow.

Each navigator of the Wandering Earth Plan's space stations had been carefully selected, a talent found once in ten thousand. Whether in physical fitness or mental resilience, knowledge or ability, they were exceptional beings.

Yet, such a navigator had actually gone mad.

If he hadn't gone mad, how could he say such things? A Divine Spirit? Isn't that a joke? Since ancient times, has anyone seen a Divine Spirit? If Divine Spirits existed, would the world still be facing destruction?

"Colonel Liu, do you realize what you are saying?" someone questioned.

They hadn't expected Liu Peiqiang's solution to be praying to Divine Spirits. Had they known, they wouldn't have wasted their time.

Facing everyone's skepticism, Liu Peiqiang took a deep breath and continued, "I know you think I've gone mad."

"If this were the past, I would think I'd gone mad too!"

"But things are different now. There really are Divine Spirits in this world!"

Liu Peiqiang's face flushed, and he said excitedly, "I've seen the Immortal True God, the omnipotent True God!"

"Only the True God can save this world. Only the True God can truly bring us hope."

The more the audience listened, the darker their expressions became, further solidifying their conviction.

"Liu Peiqiang has definitely gone mad."

"What a pity. A fine young man, and now his mind is troubled!"

"The apocalypse is approaching. The terrifying pressure is like Mount Tai, suffocating people. Perhaps one day we too will go mad and pin our hopes on Divine Spirits!"

"Even if Divine Spirits truly exist, so what? The world is on the brink of destruction, yet not a single Divine Spirit has appeared!"

"Even if there are Divine Spirits, they wouldn't help us!"

"In the eyes of Divine Spirits, we are probably like ants on the ground; our destruction or death would have no impact on them!"

"Besides, there are no Divine Spirits in this world!"

The room was abuzz with discussion, with many feeling pity for Liu Peiqiang's change. Some were even angry.

They scolded, "Liu Peiqiang, have you forgotten your identity and responsibilities?"

"At this critical moment for humanity's survival, you're wasting everyone's time with such misleading talk about Divine Spirits! Have you lost your senses?"

As they spoke, guards were already approaching Liu Peiqiang, clearly prepared to take him away.

"I know you don't believe me, but I have evidence!" Liu Peiqiang's voice was impassioned. His gaze swept across everyone in the conference room as he declared loudly, "I have here the sacred text passed down by the Divine Spirit!"

"I hope the leaders will read this text before making their final judgment!"

"If it's fake, I am willing to accept any punishment."

"Please, leaders, give me, and give all of humanity, a chance."

Liu Peiqiang took out the "Meditation Method" he had printed earlier, his gaze firm and hopeful as he looked at the leaders.

A guard passed the "Meditation Method" to one of the leaders. He examined it carefully; it appeared to be just an ordinary prayer. But since Liu Peiqiang had said so, he would naturally verify it, as it wouldn't take much time anyway.

Soon, a guard began to recite it under everyone's watchful eyes. The leader and everyone else stared intently at the guard. Liu Peiqiang did the same.

May the Lord of Hongmeng bless us!

Liu Peiqiang had recited the "Meditation Method," and members in the chat group had said that anyone who prayed would receive divine grace. But Liu Peiqiang had never verified it himself. He didn't know if others praying would experience the same as he did.

If not... the consequences would be severe.

Fortunately, what the chat group members said was true; he saw the praying guard's expression change dramatically.

At that moment, he knew he had succeeded.

The surrounding guards instantly tensed, preparing for action, vigilantly watching the praying guard.

A moment later, the praying guard opened his eyes, which were filled with shock, horror, excitement, and fervor.

"A Divine Spirit!" he exclaimed. "A Divine Spirit truly exists!"

Everyone who saw this scene felt their hearts leap into their throats.

The leaders were ecstatic and hastily asked, "What did you see? Is what Colonel Liu said true? Are there really Divine Spirits?"

"Leader, the Lord of Hongmeng is real! I saw it, and I can clearly sense that my strength has increased at least tenfold!"

As his words fell, the room erupted into chaos.

"There really are Divine Spirits?"

"Just one prayer increased his strength tenfold? How is this possible?"

Exclamations of surprise rose one after another. Even leaders who would remain unflustered if Mount Tai itself were to collapse before them couldn't help but breathe rapidly.

The Lord of Hongmeng might be real. Earth might actually be saved.

Quickly, the high-ranking officials of the Alliance Government continued to seek verification and conducted a comprehensive examination of the guard who had recited the "Meditation Method."

Two hours later, they finally confirmed the authenticity of the Lord of Hongmeng. They even recited the "Meditation Method" themselves.

"The Lord of Hongmeng is truly great, truly generous!"

"If the Lord of Hongmeng takes action, we will be saved!"

Everyone was stirred with excitement. The leaders looked at Liu Peiqiang and said in a serious tone, "Colonel Liu, thank you for informing us of this divine favor immediately. You've given us another chance at survival. Thank you!"

"It was my duty," Liu Peiqiang said solemnly, his posture straight.

"Colonel Liu, how can we now ask the great Lord of Hongmeng to take action and save Earth?"

All eyes were on Liu Peiqiang, burning with intense focus. This was their utmost concern. The Lord of Hongmeng was real. But if He didn't help, their fate would still be the same.

"Through propagation and ritual Sacrifices," Liu Peiqiang relayed the information he had learned from the chat group to them.

Quickly, the entire leadership of the Federal Government came to believe in the Lord of Hongmeng. Orders were issued one after another, and the entire world was thrown into a commotion.

"What? The sun is really going to be destroyed?"

"No wonder the Federal Government was established in recent years, undertaking various major actions. It turns out the apocalypse is truly upon us!"

My God, the sun is going to be destroyed—that's terrifying!

To save Earth, our only hope is to ask the Lord of Hongmeng to intervene?

The Lord of Hongmeng is a great Immortal God?

Are there really Divine Spirits in this world?

Everyone must devoutly believe in the Lord of Hongmeng and, in three days at noon, offer Sacrifices to Him, imploring Him to save Earth?

Countless citizens were shocked, confused, panicked, and doubtful. Various emotions flooded their hearts.

Before the Wandering Earth Plan was implemented, ordinary citizens were kept in the dark about the sun's impending destruction to prevent unrest. Although the Alliance Government's actions made many realize something unusual was happening, no one imagined it was because the sun was about to be destroyed. Now, suddenly receiving news of the impending doom, everyone was shocked and terrified.

What baffled them even more was that the Alliance Government's upper echelons were actually asking them to believe in Divine Spirits, claiming these beings could save the world. They found it hard to believe, yet they had little choice but to consider it. Surely, not everyone in the Alliance Government could have gone mad.

Reciting the "Meditation Method" enables one to feel the mighty power of the Lord of Hongmeng and receive divine grace?

For real?

Everyone looked at the "Meditation Method" displayed on their phones and even on large screens, their hearts filled with skepticism. However, in a spirit of 'might as well try,' many involuntarily began to recite it.

After they recited it once, everyone was astonished.

There really was a Divine Spirit. The Divine Spirit was truly great. We're saved! With a Divine Spirit present, the sun's destruction is nothing to worry about! A Divine Spirit can create countless worlds with a single breath. Creating a new sun would be as easy as flipping one's palm.

In this internet age, information spread extremely quickly. Less than ten minutes after the news broke, ninety-nine percent of the global population began to believe in the Lord of Hongmeng. After all, if just one person recited the "Meditation Method" and proved the Divine Spirit's existence, it would motivate everyone around them to do the same.

Time flew by, and then it was noon three days later.

Thirty-six large altars had been constructed around the world. All sorts of Sacrifices, including livestock, rare treasures, various texts, airplanes, tanks, submarines, warships, and countless other offerings were placed upon the altars. People all around the world prayed and offered Sacrifices together.

...

「God's kingdom.」

"Ding, a strand of Faith Power has been detected; you have received a million-fold amplification, yielding one million strands of Faith Power."

"Ding, your believers have offered up livestock and five grains; you have received a hundred-billion-fold amplification, yielding Divine Beasts..."

"Ding, your believers have sacrificed a vast amount of scientific texts; overall, you have received a five hundred-billion-fold amplification, yielding the Technology Civilization Light Ring."

"Ding, your believers have sacrificed five thousand tanks; overall, you have received a five hundred-billion-fold amplification, yielding five thousand Heavenly God Level tank warriors."

"Ding, your believers have sacrificed five thousand fighter jets; overall, you have received a five hundred-billion-fold amplification, yielding five thousand Heavenly God Level jet warriors."

"Ding, your believers have offered up Sacrifices..."

Oh? Liu Peiqiang? Quite swift. Hongmeng opened his eyes from the warm embrace of the Cruel Female Emperor, a delicate fragrance wafting to his nose. He wasn't surprised by Liu Peiqiang's efficiency. With the apocalypse looming, their motivation to act would naturally be extraordinary. Moreover, the Wandering Earth was a modern technological world; preaching or constructing altars could be done very quickly.

Although there are no special treasures, gaining a mechanical army and seventy billion believers isn't too bad!

Hongmeng communicated his will to Yao Xi using his Divine Sense, asking her to make a trip to the Wandering Earth.

...

「Wandering Earth.」

Alliance Government Building.

In front of the grand altar, Liu Peiqiang stood at the main officiant's position. The leaders and others stood behind him. Everyone was tense and full of anticipation. They stared intently at the altar.

The Lord of Hongmeng must manifest!

Praise to You, great Lord of Hongmeng, please protect us!

Everyone prayed in their hearts.

HUM.

Suddenly, the altar shone with holy light. Livestock transformed into Divine Beasts, while tanks and airplanes became terrifying metal giants!

"Ah..." Everyone was startled, their eyes wide with disbelief.

Livestock transforming into Divine Beasts, planes and tanks into steel giants? Am I dreaming? Is this the mighty power of a Divine Spirit? Transforming all things? Giving life to inanimate objects?

"A Divine... Divine Miracle!"

"The Lord of Hongmeng has manifested!"

"We are saved!"

"May the Lord of Hongmeng protect us!"

All the believers kowtowed repeatedly, their beings overcome with shock, excitement, elation, and anticipation.

Amid their prayers and cheers, a clap of thunder boomed through heaven and earth. Everyone involuntarily looked up.

A bright moon hung high above. The holy moonlight poured down—brilliant, beautiful, like a magnificent river of stars.

Everyone held their breath, eyes wide.

Had a Divine Spirit descended?

The moonlight was like water. A graceful figure appeared above the bright moon. She seemed distant, yet, from every corner of the Earth, everyone could vaguely discern her figure. She was like the center of the universe.

The ethereal and graceful figure, treading on moonlight, paused above the river of stars that had manifested over the altar, her body radiating a hazy, sacred light. It wasn't clear, like viewing flowers through mist. But that faintly visible, graceful silhouette and skin as white as jade—even without seeing her face—hinted at an Immortal Goddess of breathtaking, world-toppling beauty and grace.

Everyone looked up at the sky, their eyes filled with wonder.

Was this the Lord of Hongmeng?

Yao Xi paused in the void, gazing down upon Earth. She was like a Nine Heavens Goddess gracing the mortal realm, her splendor peerless.

A Golden Command unfolded in her hand, and a majestic, grand voice declared:

"Believer Liu Peiqiang, for his merit in spreading the faith and offering Sacrifices, is hereby bestowed the post of Divine Envoy of this realm, ten thousand years of cultivation, and Three Doors of supernatural power."

Liu Peiqiang's heart clenched. That was not what he wanted. But he remained silent. Surely the omniscient and omnipotent Divine Spirit knew he wanted to save Earth?

The Grand Elder and the others nearby were also on edge, tense to the extreme. Just as they could no longer resist the urge to plead with the Divine Spirit to save Earth, Yao Xi's voice continued:

"This realm's sun is hereby granted renewed vitality!"
