Chapter561-Miracle Sands

[Miracle Sands]

Effect: Being within Miracle Sands grants a temporary increase of 1 Luck point. This effect will expire 3 minutes after leaving the Miracle Sands area.

Upon seeing this effect, both Daniel and Milla were taken aback.

As far as Daniel understood, the most precious attribute in this world was Luck. Other attributes could be increased fairly easily, and every time one leveled up, they would naturally gain a boost in stats. But Luck was a fixed attribute. Without special circumstances, it was practically impossible to increase one's Luck.

Daniel's current high Luck had been granted by the Luck Goddess herself. Without her help, even Daniel wouldn't have a way to increase his Luck.

This made it clear how extraordinary Miracle Sands was. Although the effect only lasted three minutes after leaving the area, for a powerhouse like Daniel, three minutes was more than enough to accomplish many things.

At this moment, Daniel finally understood why so many powerful beings flocked to the Godfall Battlefield. It was said that the more dangerous the place, the more tempting the hidden treasures.

With this realization, Daniel grabbed Milla and, in an instant, appeared at the outskirts of Miracle Sands. Having previously used the Eye of Insight to confirm there was no danger nearby, Daniel was confident that the area was safe enough to bring Milla here.

However, if there had been a Void Worm or any other Star Rank monsters nearby, Milla might have been in mortal danger. Of course, Daniel would never let anything happen to Milla while he was there.

Upon reaching the edge of Miracle Sands, Milla's eyes were immediately captivated by the shallow blue sands in front of her. Almost instinctively, she stepped into the sand's reach, bending down to scoop up a handful of the fine grains.

The sensation of the smooth sand slipping through her fingers had Milla mesmerized for a moment.

After years of searching, she had finally found Miracle Sands and was able to touch its precious grains of sand. She could barely contain her emotions, her gratitude towards Daniel overwhelming her.

But deep down, she knew that, at this moment, she had no way to repay him—besides simply saying "thank you."

"Thank you so much, Daniel," Milla said, her voice sincere.

"You don't need to thank me. You can try it for yourself. So far, I haven't sensed anything dangerous," Daniel replied calmly.

While Daniel said this, he remained alert. In a place as dangerous as the Godfall Battlefield, the tranquility of Miracle Sands felt too unnatural. Even though the Eye of Insight hadn't detected any danger, Daniel still maintained a cautious stance.

Milla, trusting Daniel completely, nodded enthusiastically. Since Daniel said there was no danger, she believed him without question.

With that, Milla removed her gown and lay down on the surface of the Miracle Sands, following the requirements of the ascension ritual.

As soon as she lay flat on the sand, a wave of blue sand seemed to come alive, swirling around her and gathering in her direction.

Within moments, Milla appeared to be wearing a thin, flowing gown of blue, composed entirely of the sand.

At the same time, her ascension ritual was complete!

Daniel could feel that Milla was now only one step away from completing her final trial. Once she passed this, she would be on the verge of entering the Demigod Rank.

"Praise you, great Daniel!" Milla said, her voice filled with gratitude. If not for Daniel's help, she didn't know when she would have been able to take this final step.

Daniel gave a soft smile, then nodded slightly.

"Alright, go ahead and complete your final trial. The rest doesn't matter," he said.

After saying this, Daniel's figure blurred as he teleported Milla back to the City of Luck.

In the Backworld, cities created by gods were among the few places unaffected by the laws of the world. Moreover, the City of Luck was already under Daniel's control. This made it one of the safest places to leave Milla.

Once Milla was safely placed, Daniel turned and stepped into Miracle Sands himself.

The moment Daniel entered the area, he could clearly feel something inexplicable being bestowed upon him.

It was a very unique sensation—almost as if he had become the absolute center of the world.

At the same time, his Luck stat increased to 12!

This new Luck value was now on par with the Luck Goddess' own stat!

Daniel had now become the second person in the world, after Luke, to reach a Luck value of 12!

"So... this is what Luke feels like? Quite fascinating!" Daniel thought, as he focused his mind power to sense everything around him. It felt as though everything was starting to move in a direction favorable to him.

He even sensed that in certain places, luck would appear, while in others, misfortune would prevail.

This ability felt akin to that of a prophet!

With this new power, Daniel instinctively felt that if he moved in a particular direction, he would obtain what he sought. That direction, of course, led to the location of the ice shard.

In addition, there were several smaller coordinates, not as strong in their influence but still noteworthy. Daniel silently recorded these coordinates, feeling a strange sensation arise within him.

So... this is what it feels like to cheat the system?

Daniel thought, a smirk forming on his face. This dangerous and harsh world now seemed so much simpler.

At that moment, Daniel couldn't help but reflect on his past struggles and how much they paled in comparison to the powers he now wielded.

But this feeling only lasted for three minutes, as the Luck enhancement from Miracle Sands faded after that period.

As the boost waned, Daniel began to test whether he could take the blue sand with him.

If the sand was what granted him the Luck boost, perhaps carrying it with him—keeping it on his person—would result in a permanent increase of 1 Luck.

With this in mind, Daniel pulled several bottles from his bag and began filling them with the blue sand.

However, after only about three minutes, he noticed that the sand had transformed into regular, ordinary sand once placed inside the bottles.

Daniel didn't even need to touch it to feel that the sand had lost all of its previous effects.
