Daniel's cold rejection caused a prolonged silence on the other end of the mind power transmission. After a long pause, Knowledge Daniel's voice finally spoke again, tinged with disbelief.
"Why? Most Powerful Daniel, don't you understand? This is our only chance, a chance that could let us both survive."
"You don't believe me? I swear, every word I've said is true! All I want is to live, is that so wrong?" Knowledge Daniel's voice pleaded with sincerity.
Daniel didn't respond, merely silently absorbing the waves of energy from [Infinity Possibility]. His intuition continued to emit strong warnings. Seeing Daniel remain unmoved, Knowledge Daniel's tone grew more urgent, even tinged with a hint of desperation.
"Most Powerful Daniel, please, just trust me this once. Inner God Daniel is about to succeed. He's forging a God Rank Skill scroll, and once he completes the ascension task, he will become a true god before you!"
"Once that happens, he'll destroy all the world lines, and we will all die! Only if we join forces can we stop him!"
Daniel still maintained his silence. He knew that speaking at this moment would be pointless. Knowledge Daniel's words were like a carefully woven net; no matter how he struggled, he risked becoming more entangled.
The more desperate Knowledge Daniel became, the clearer it became that the secrets he hid posed a great threat to Daniel.
"Why won't you speak? Are you really going to watch us all perish together?" Knowledge Daniel's voice trembled with a mixture of fury and fear.
"Most Powerful Daniel, what do you want? As long as you speak, I'll give you whatever you desire! I'll help you, and in turn, you can help me. Together, we can share all the knowledge and become the most powerful beings in this universe!"
Daniel gently shook his head, severing his mental connection with [Infinity Possibility]. He knew there was no longer any need to continue the struggle with Knowledge Daniel. This being was like a venomous snake—no matter how pitiful it appeared, its fangs were always poised to strike a fatal blow.
Daniel ignored any further messages from Knowledge Daniel, refocusing his attention on [Infinity Possibility]. At this point, taking the initiative might be a better course of action.
Without hesitation, Daniel activated the power of [Infinity Possibility]. The space before him began to distort, with countless bizarre and fantastical images flashing past. When everything finally stabilized, he found himself in a completely new world.
The sky of this world was a strange purple color, and the moment he appeared, a gentle mind power enveloped him.
"You've arrived, the Most Powerful Daniel," a voice greeted him.
It was Mind Daniel, who stepped forward with a faint smile on his face.
"I sensed your arrival and understand your purpose," he continued.
Daniel looked at him without speaking, simply nodding. Given their prior communication, there was no need for further conversation; time was of the essence.
Mind Daniel seemed to understand this and gestured toward a massive island floating in the distance.
"That is the Twisted Mindlands, the prison of 'him'."
"Since you're here, I assume you want to meet him personally," Mind Daniel continued, offering a direct invitation.
"Come, I'll take you there. But be careful, even for me, that place is filled with danger."
With that, Mind Daniel took a step forward, and his figure instantly appeared hundreds of meters away. Daniel followed closely behind, and the two of them flew toward the gray mist that shrouded the forbidden lands.
The closer they got to the Twisted Mindlands, the stronger the oppressive mental force Daniel felt. This Twisted Mindlands was not the same as the one he had seen in Backworld. This one was an island, yet the feeling of pressure was identical.
Soon, the two arrived at the edge of the Twisted Mindlands. Thick gray mist, as if alive, churned and blocked all attempts to enter.
Mind Daniel stopped. He could go no further, for if he did, he would lose control and fall under the influence of the God of Knowledge.
"Stay here. I'll handle the rest," Mind Daniel said, making his arrangements.
Without a second thought, Daniel plunged into the gray mist. The moment he entered, countless maddening whispers and chaotic visions flooded his mind. These voices tempted him, threatened him, and tried to shake his resolve.
This sensation was the same as when Daniel had ventured deep into the Twisted Mindlands before. However, for the Daniel of today, he was fully prepared to deal with this. The Mind Corruption was no longer a threat.
How long had it been? Eventually, the scenery in front of him cleared, and Daniel found himself in a pure white space.
This was the ideal place for him to go deeper, as moving forward any further would result in being affected by the God of Knowledge.
In front of him stood a massive throne, built from countless books. The figure sitting upon it was covered by a huge tome, obscuring their face, but Daniel could feel an overwhelming aura of knowledge emanating from the figure.
This was the Knowledge Inner God, the true body of the God of Knowledge.
Until now, Daniel had never seen the entity's true form. But the moment he appeared, the figure on the throne stirred. The huge book covering it slowly opened, revealing the true form beneath.
However, to Daniel's surprise, the face of the God of Knowledge was not a face at all—it was a book, blank and devoid of words. There were no eyes, no nose, only white pages "looking" in Daniel's direction.
Knowledge Inner God slowly lifted its head, and its gaze instantly locked onto Daniel.
Then, an overwhelming mixture of surprise, anger, and disbelief erupted in its eyes.
"You… you're not from this world line!" it spat in rage.
"Damn it! Those other-world-line fools dare to target me!"
"Are they trying to use the 'me' from another world line to devour me?"
Knowledge Inner God let out a furious roar, causing the entire pure white space to tremble violently. Countless books fell from the shelves, transforming into fluttering sheets of paper.
The moment Daniel appeared, it seemed the Knowledge Inner God had already figured something out. The entire space around them grew unstable, and Daniel could feel that the rational, composed God of Knowledge was now consumed by uncontrollable anger.
After all, someone as clever as this being would never tolerate being outwitted, and to him, it was a disgrace.
"Such audacity! A group of fools who don't know their place!"
"So, this is what it is? They actually dared to come up with such a scheme!"
