The Growth of a God

Chapter 5: Godslayer Civilization (2/3)

The All Heavens and Myriad Realms have never been peaceful.

Despite the order established by the rules set by the thirteen Celestial Fathers, the overall order of the All Heavens and Myriad Realms leans towards an orderly civilization.

However, in different corners of the All Heavens and Myriad Realms, the chaos and wars that occasionally arise reveal the true nature of this world.

Wars between different worlds, wars between different civilizations, wars between different races, wars between different individuals...

At every moment, the All Heavens and Myriad Realms are engaged in wars counted by the unit of "trillions".

However, generally speaking, the largest scale of these wars is usually limited to between two worlds, rarely expanding to multiple worlds causing a large-scale conflict.

Because a large-scale conflict across multiple worlds not only means a clash of world rules, it might even attract the personal intervention of the Gods.

At that time, such a conflict can easily evolve into a true "Gods' Calamity".

Whenever that happens, the Gods in the Civilization Game become active, discussing whether the war that is about to evolve into a "Gods' Calamity" will affect them.

To be honest, Li Hao never thought such a war would affect him.

Therefore, when Hua She submitted this information to Li Hao, he was completely bewildered.

"What's the situation? Someone declared war on the World of Fallen Gods?"

Hastily opening the Civilization Game, Li Hao indeed found a declaration of war message in his personal page.

Due to Hua She's vigorous promotion in the past, the World of Fallen Gods had become quite famous in the All Heavens and Myriad Realms.

Whether it's the Gods, or those Demigods who have reached the pinnacle of the Ascension Ladder, they all have great interest in this Neutral World protected by two Supreme Gods.

However, precisely because of this, the World of Fallen Gods, due to its fame, was declared war upon.

This was something Li Hao had never expected; are those people crazy to declare war on the World of Fallen Gods?

Regardless of the neutral attribute of the World of Fallen Gods itself, isn't it a world protected by two Supreme Gods?

Anyone with a bit of brains knows, this means that behind the World of Fallen Gods there are two powerful Divine Pantheons.

"Truly a bunch of war maniacs?"

When Li Hao finished browsing the declaration of war message, he couldn't help but fall silent.

Because the ones who initiated this conflict were indeed a bunch of maniacs, and the war they instigated had already affected nearly a thousand worlds.

The World of Fallen Gods was merely caught in it because it was quite famous at the moment.

.........................................................

The Realm of Truth is an outlier in the All Heavens and Myriad Realms.

Because the original Gods of this world were deities who fled from a world that had already been destroyed.

These Gods seemed to have developed a kind of, unsure whether to call it arrogance or a great ideal — to make their believers into Gods, due to the catastrophe they experienced.

Thus, they guided their people to grow, led the wise creatures to establish civilization, and maintained constant contact with them.

These Gods forcibly ignored the fundamental differences in Life, stubbornly believing that all beings and creatures were equal, attempting to enable all life to converse directly with Gods.

The result was that those intelligent creatures, who had just begun developing civilization, were twisted by witnessing the essence of Gods.

Madness, obsession, blind faith, distortion...

This civilization, which had barely developed wisdom, collapsed instantly.

The individuals within were either worshipping Gods madly, or driven insane from witnessing the unspeakable essence...

Some extreme existences even started to become hostile to the Gods.

From that moment on, a unilateral declaration of war against the Gods began.

The Gods of the Realm of Truth tried to salvage the dire consequences they caused and save this obsessive, crazed civilization.

Then, their meddling brought about further malice and hostility.

—— They are Evil Gods!

—— They are Devils enchanting hearts!

—— They are the indescribable Celestial Calamity trying to destroy us!

...

Under the influence of such extreme emotions, the beings of this civilization destroyed the Divine Hall, destroyed the statues, destroyed the Totems, destroyed everything related to Gods.

Subsequently, something unexpected by all insiders occurred.

The Gods who experienced the catastrophe of world destruction personally stepped in, trying to express goodwill to those hostile entities in this manner.

The reason why Gods are called Gods is that they are above all beings, existing in higher dimensions in the true sense.

If the world is crudely compared to a painting, then the Gods are the artists outside the painting, capable of interfering and altering everything within the painting freely.

However, once the Gods give up their advantage as artists and become part of the painting themselves.

Then, no matter how powerful they are, they do not deserve to be called Gods.

Having lost the unpredictability and unobservability of higher dimensional Life, the Gods who descended into the mortal world are merely Saints, merely Demigods.

The following events are easily imaginable.

When Gods have weaknesses, no matter how insignificant that weakness might seem, it will inevitably be discovered.

Targeting the weaknesses of those demoted Gods, the crazed individuals of that civilization completed the remarkable feat of Godslaying, and they slew an entire Divine Pantheon of Gods.

Of course, if it were just like this, the Realm of Truth at most could only become a topic of leisure talk among the Gods.

Gods killed due to overly favoring a civilization, there are not eighty or a hundred of them in the All Heavens and Myriad Realms.

To most Gods, they would only keep these cases as cautionary tales etched in their hearts, believing with conviction it will never happen to them.

However, the Godslayers of the Realm of Truth are different.

Baptized in Divine Blood, those crazed individuals astonishingly developed a highly mad Godslayer civilization anew.

They believe that the Gods are parasites of the All Heavens and Myriad Realms, that the existence of Gods limits the development of the All Heavens and Myriad Realms, and that the Gods are the root of all evil.

If one truly wishes to liberate the All Heavens and Myriad Realms, then all Gods of the All Heavens and Myriad Realms must be pulled down from their Divine Thrones, allowing all beings and creatures to evolve and develop in a completely Free environment.

Propagating this ideology in their own world, of course, is not an issue.

After all, the Gods of the Realm of Truth have been wiped clean, and no God would choose to take over such a problematic world.

But the problem is, since those crazed individuals can be called a "civilization", it naturally means they've reshaped their Technology Tree.

With the fallen Gods' bodies as a foundation, the Godslayer Civilization developed many techniques and weapons specifically targeting high-dimensional Life with remarkable specificity.

The top-tier weaponry series from among these can even pose a headache for a true Main God.

Thanks to this, the various weapons and technologies developed by the Godslayer Civilization have consistently enjoyed acclaim within the special group of "Desecrators".
