Beast Taming: the More the Better

Chapter 180: Crafting the Forest Heart! Su Ping's Botanical Garden!_3

The laurel tree could gather the power of moonlight. In a certain sense, this made it different from the others. The biggest difference was that the resources it produced were Commander Level! Indeed, the 'laurel blossoms' that fell only once a year, on the fifteenth of August, were its main product. These blossoms contained a large amount of moonlight energy and were extremely beneficial for Pet Beasts of that affinity. Su Ping had actually encountered this before; the Moon Wolf Lin Lei had brought, from the Moon Wolf pack, had been particularly fond of these laurel blossoms. Su Ping naturally wouldn't refuse such a precious request from what was essentially a money tree.

There were three remaining: the Mist Pine, the Dragon-Patterned Bamboo, and finally, the Hundred Birds Wutong Tree.

Of these three, the Mist Pine required an aquatic environment. It could generate mist, which stimulated aquatic plants and increased underwater oxygen content, improving the living conditions for aquatic Pet Beasts. This was also simple to arrange. The edge of the Forest Heart bordered the lake of the Heart of Water. The Mist Pine could enter the water if it wished, or it could simply extend its roots into the water from the shore.

The Hundred Birds Wutong Tree, true to its name, wanted to be surrounded by avian Pet Beasts. It also released a special scent that would attract birds to build nests nearby.

However, it was the Dragon-Patterned Bamboo that surprised Su Ping. It had been quiet until then, but then it made a demand that almost threw out Su Ping's back. This creature wanted to be irrigated with dragon blood!

Dragon blood!

Regardless of whether it was a Western or Eastern dragon, unless it was a Sub-Dragon Species, the racial upper limit of such creatures was at the Emperor Level or even higher. And yet this mere Commander Level Dragon-Patterned Bamboo wanted to be irrigated with dragon blood.

In the end, without Su Ping even needing to act, the Life Ancient Tree, in a rare display, gave the bamboo a slap. Then it told the bamboo to get to work improving the soil of the barren mountain.

The Dragon-Patterned Bamboo sounded very impressive, but in reality, its combat abilities were quite average. It was a dual-element Earth and Wood Pet Beast. Its greatest contribution to Su Ping was its ability to slightly aerate the soil and improve its quality, which would prevent soil erosion and ensure good soil quality for all other Plant-based Pet Beasts.

Thus, the ten Commander Level Pet Beasts were accounted for: Sky-reaching Vine, Rouge Powder Peach Blossom Smile, Longevity Banyan, King Gunpine, Flame Morning Glory, Blade Ginkgo, Dragon-Patterned Bamboo, Laurel Tree, Mist Pine, and Hundred Birds Wutong Tree. All the requests of these ten Pet Beasts had been met. Su Ping also made a significant summary based on his interactions.

Through his conversation with the Longevity Banyan, Su Ping learned that four of them—Rouge Powder Peach Blossom Smile, Longevity Banyan, Blade Ginkgo, and Hundred Birds Wutong Tree—were not averse to human presence. As long as people didn't overstep, they were even willing to interact more. Therefore, they could be developed into Pet Beasts that interacted with tourists. Flame Morning Glory, King Gunpine, and Dragon-Patterned Bamboo, on the other hand, neither rejected nor particularly liked human proximity. They were the type that could be approached and admired, but no further interaction was possible. Beyond these, the Mist Pine and the Laurel Tree preferred solitude and disliked being near any other living beings. They could only be admired from a distance and not approached.

As for the Sky-reaching Vine? Su Ping was convinced that no person or Pet Beast would actually want to observe this little fellow. Its abilities, just as it had said, were indeed best suited for practical applications like guarding the property.

Clearly, from an industry perspective, Rouge Powder Peach Blossom Smile, Longevity Banyan, and Blade Ginkgo were undoubtedly well-suited for development as additional attractions. Su Ping nodded in agreement with this, quite pleased with the prospect.

If they perform well, the future botanical garden's targets might just depend on these three.

These three could be used to successively create a flower garden, a Longevity Banyan interactive area, and then a picking forest centered around the Blade Ginkgo.

As for the Hundred Birds Wutong Tree, I still don't have any development ideas for it yet.

As for the others, they could serve as supplementary attractions and add to the park's overall appeal, placed in the botanical garden's observation area on the barren mountain.

For those like the Mist Pine and Laurel Tree that didn't want to interact with humans, the Mist Pine, for example, could be placed in that secluded area where the forest met the water. The Mist Pine could release mist, creating an ethereal, fairyland-like atmosphere that would also naturally deter outsiders from entering.

As for the Laurel Tree... it could be placed together with the Life Ancient Tree.

Additionally, apart from these ten Plant System Commander Level Pet Beasts, there were also over twenty other species, totaling more than a thousand low-level Plant-based Pet Beasts. These included Daorong Poplar Trees, Summit Snow Cedars, Mountain Ginseng, White Jade Lychee Trees, Azure Jade Grapevines, Spiral Orange Trees, and more. There were fruit-bearing types, battle-type forest-guarding Pet Beasts, and other uniquely beautiful Plant-based Pet Beasts. One could say there was everything needed.

How to allocate these Plant-based Pet Beasts was another issue. And Su Ping handed this issue over to the designers who had arrived.

After hearing everything Su Ping had said, all the designers nodded. The distinct areas and care locations for the ten top Commander Level Plant-based Pet Beasts had to be established, each with unique features. Furthermore, the entire mountain forest, including the extensions of the barren mountain woodlands connecting to the Lingxi River, required renovation. All of these were tasks for them to research and work on.

"Mr. Su, it's late, and we've all been briefed on the situation. Could we go back and discuss this among ourselves?" a designer suggested.

Su Ping waved his hand. "Discuss it right here."

Several groups of designers looked troubled. Although they had absolute faith in the guest room accommodations at the Heart of Cloud, still...

However, their troubled expressions were quickly interrupted by Su Ping's next words. "Room and board are covered. Whichever company comes up with a design that satisfies me first will receive an additional reward of 500,000 yuan per designer, on top of the fees. Of course, I won't let the rest of you toil in vain."

He was making it clear that money was no object!

Pingyun was practically printing money for him. I can't just be a hoarding capitalist, sitting on cash and waiting for it to lay eggs. It needs to flow back into the market in other ways to keep the economy stable.

As expected, upon hearing this, everyone's eyes lit up. Money talks. With a client who clearly wasn't short of cash, they were ready to pull an all-nighter.

Watching the design firms, their competitive spirits now clearly ignited, Su Ping smiled, informed Lao Guan, and finally returned to the cultivation base in the Heart of Woods area.

Now that the Forest Heart's matter was settled, he could finally start to properly investigate Old Sha's condition.
