For experimental purposes, the Abyss Chameleon is a pretty handy demon.

Seeing the demon Yan Luo had caught, Sasa's eyes lit up.

Sasa opened a tube of Yan Luo's blood, letting the smell seep into the Abyss Chameleon's nose, which made the initially obedient chameleon suddenly struggle violently, extending its tongue, trying to lick Yan Luo's blood inside the tube.

"Looks like your blood does have attraction for lower-level demons; they simply can't sense it," Sasa said to Yan Luo.

Yan Luo remained silent, quietly driving.

Sasa was long used to Yan Luo's personality, not feeling the slightest dissatisfaction, and turned back to continue her experiment.

She and Yan Luo were quite alike, both being the type of obsessive people who ignore others once immersed in their passion.

Sasa drew some blood with a syringe and dropped it on the Abyss Chameleon's tongue, allowing it to consume.

City-breaking level demons in the Abyss want to devour Yan Luo, so Sasa needs to simulate the changes that might occur if they eat Yan Luo's blood.

Changes in the Abyss Chameleon might take some time, so Sasa placed it inside a [Demon Preservation Box], activating the box's real-time monitoring system to observe its physiological data.

After finishing that task, Sasa sat back in the passenger seat, looking ahead at the seemingly endless dense giant trees, occasionally making notes.

Although Sasa was a student in the Abyss Ecology program, researchers like her entering the Abyss to research was quite troublesome, with expenses such as hiring Hunters for protection being quite high.

If it weren't for Sasa's good private relationship with Yan Luo, and Yan Luo even willing to subsidize the 200,000 base rent for an abyss-specialized armored vehicle, she would only be able to enter the Abyss with a group. After a short melody, Yan Luo joined in, humming softly.
