"Yohan, what do you think you are doing to my sister?!" Chloe screamed as she walked in, her gaze moving from the bulge in his pants to her sister, and then back to Yohan.
"Chloe, it's not what it looks like…" Yohan quickly defended, turning around to properly adjust his pants to hide his erection before turning back.
"You pervert!" She screamed.
"Chloe, wait," Olyvia got up and tried to calm her down.
"Olyvia, you don't have to say anything. I already know what this pervert is like. He was trying to get you to do something sexual, wasn't he?"
"Chloe, I'm telling you that's not what happened!" Yohan tried to explain to her, but he couldn't possibly say that it was the other way around.
This was all her idea, and now he was the one getting yelled at.
Chloe jabbed a finger into his chest. "Tell me, why did you come here? Is it because you wanted to harass my sister?!"
"Chloe, I'm telling you that's not it—"
"Don't lie to me. Then how do you explain your erection?"
"That was…" His gaze shifted to Olyvia standing behind her; he couldn't possibly say it was Olyvia who asked for it.
He sighed. "That was… an accident."
"An accident? How is something like that an accident?!"
Olyvia stood quietly at the back. Guilt was written all over her face, but she didn't say anything to defend him. What could she even say?
"Get out now!" Chloe said with irritation in her voice.
"Chloe… just wait a moment… see what I got for you," He tried handing her the items he had bought for her.
"I don't want your stupid gift, you pervert!" She pushed him out of the house, "and I don't want to ever see you again."
"W-wait, does that mean you are really not coming back to work?"
"Yes, I quit!" She screamed before slamming the door in his face.
Yohan stood outside, too stunned to even move for a few seconds.
"What the hell just happened?!"
During the drive back home, Yohan was still struggling to accept that Chloe had actually quit.
'Why did she even have to walk in at that time…?
The whole situation just escalated from there.
"She's always seeing me in compromising positions…" He sighed.
To be honest, it didn't really matter that Chloe decided to quit; he had other women, after all. But yet, he still had this feeling that he was losing something important.
Chloe was the first girl he ever had sex with, so maybe it was sentimental attachment?
Now he had to start accepting that he might actually never see her again…
"Well, it was fun while it lasted…"
When Yohan arrived home, no one else was there, so he took a nap. A few hours later, his Aunt returned from work.
Yohan opened his door to meet her as she was heading to her room.
"Hello," she said with a bright smile.
"Welcome home. How was your day?" Yohan asked.
"It was stressful having to fill in for two of my colleagues since they called in sick. I spent the whole day running around," she sighed, before noticing how casually she was speaking to Yohan.
It had been a while since anyone asked her about her day. Even if he was probably just doing it to be nice, it felt good talking about it.
"I should freshen up before I get started on dinner…" she said softly.
"Wait! I got you something…" Yohan said before going to get the shopping bag and handing it to her.
Vivian was surprised. "W-what is this?" She peeked into the bag slightly to see a box and a dress.
"I don't know if the dress would fit, but I tried my best to guess your size."
"But why are you giving me this?"
"It's a gift. I went to get a few things, and I decided to get you something special."
Vivian didn't know how to react; she hadn't received a gift in a very long time.
"Yohan…"
"Don't even think about rejecting it. Just say thank you," he said lightly.
Vivian sighed, then smiled softly. He was right; there was no need to reject it.
"Thank you."
When Vivian entered her room, she held the bag close to her chest. It was the first gift she had received in years, and Yohan was the one to give it to her.
That is, apart from the house, but even that was also given to her by Yohan.
"I should probably make him something special for dinner," she said affectionately.
So, after that, she prepared a very special meal, and then they ate together. Since Cassie was rarely around these days, it was always just the two of them eating.
She said Cassie was currently writing exams, so she was spending most of her time at school and with friends studying.
"Yohan, have you ever thought about going to college?" she asked.
"Not really, and to be honest, I think it's already too late for that. Most of my classmates from high school would be in their second or third year by now."
"I guess you can blame me and your Uncle for that," she said sadly.
"You don't need to say things like that. I understand that things were really tough. Even then, you still allowed me to stay here."
Vivian noticed just how mature Yohan always sounded, along with his thoughtful and soft-spoken personality. She almost forgot that he was just 20 years old.
"Well, I'm sure if you choose to go to college, you would be one of the coolest guys there."
Yohan chuckled. "But I'll probably be the oldest guy amongst the freshmen."
"Those kinds of things don't matter. You'll be far too busy having fun to even notice. You used to do so well in high school, you should at least consider it."
He sighed. She wasn't wrong, but he wasn't really ready for stress like that. Right now, he had a pretty comfortable life and wasn't really looking to change it.
