After another intense orgasm, Vivian was way too exhausted to even move an inch. She fell asleep almost immediately, sleeping like a baby in Yohan's embrace.
The next morning was a little awkward when they woke up, but they didn't speak about the night before. They both got ready and left for work.
Yohan had a very satisfied grin on his face as he drove to work. This was the kind of life he pictured with his Aunt, almost exactly the way he had always imagined.
When he arrived, he handed Remi the items he had bought for her. She was waiting for him outside, so it was the first thing he did.
"I got these for you,"
"Thank you, Boss," she said with a bright, cheerful smile on her face as she gave him a hug.
"You're welcome," Yohan replied. Just then, he noticed an unusual car parked not too far from the shop.
He could see two men sitting inside, and it looked like they were waiting for someone, but the way they were staring at him and Remi was starting to make him feel uneasy.
The men soon realized that Yohan was staring at them and quickly drove away. From their faces, he could almost tell that those men were definitely sent by that old man Haturo.
'Why were they waiting around?' Yohan wondered, but he didn't need anyone to tell him that their intentions were definitely not good.
This was indeed starting to get dangerous.
After he entered his private office, the first thing he did was call Gunjoo the loan shark.
"Hey, I think I just spotted some of Haturo's men camping outside my shop."
"That means they're definitely planning something," Gunjoo replied. "If you are scared, I can send some men to protect you."
"I don't need any protection, but maybe you can send someone over to protect the girls that work for me."
"Okay, I'll send two guys."
"The thing is, I need them to remain out of sight at all times until they are needed."
"Sure, I'll tell them to keep their distance."
"Thanks."
"Don't thank me yet, kid. We have to discuss the price of my services."
"What…? I thought you said we were associates."
"Yes, but I'm still running a business here. I'll be sending two of my guys to sit outside your shop all day; they'll definitely need to get paid."
Yohan sighed. He already expected him to ask for money eventually. This was probably what he was hoping for when he offered to help in the first place.
"So how much is it going to be?"
"I'll text you the details." Gunjoo's voice sounded brighter.
"Okay, also tell your guys to keep an eye on Remi especially. They should follow her around all the time without her noticing."
Yohan had a feeling that whatever that old man was planning had to do with Remi.
"You want them to watch her all the time? That's going to mean you'll have multiple guys on rotation, taking shifts."
"Yeah, is that going to cost me more?"
"Yes, way more. But I'm sure it's not something you can't afford. Send me her picture so I'll discuss with my guys and get back to you." Then he hung up.
Yohan chuckled. 'How would he even know what I can afford?'
It didn't matter the price, though. As long as he knew Gunjoo's men were keeping her safe, he would be able to sleep a little better at night.
But even this was just a temporary solution. As long as someone like Haturo was out to get him, he would always have to be cautious.
He needed to find a solution very quickly.
'I should tell Helen about it. Maybe she can help.'
Just then, Remi came to knock at the door.
"Boss, there's someone here looking for you."
"Who's that?" Yohan wondered, following her out.
"Olyvia?" He was surprised to see Chloe's sister waiting in the reception area.
"Hello," she greeted.
She wore a red, long-sleeve shirt and a flair brown skirt that joined to the shirt to look like a gown.
They were casual clothes, but they made her look different from the clothes he saw her usually wear at home, maybe because of the little makeup she applied.
"What are you doing here…? Is this about yesterday?"
"Yes… could we talk for a bit?" she asked, her voice low.
"Sure, we should go somewhere private."
He led her to his private office and shut the door behind them.
Back at the reception area, Mia was sitting behind the counter, staring at them curiously as they walked away. She could easily see the resemblance between Chloe and her sister.
"That woman looks a lot like Chloe," Remi was also thinking the same thing.
"That's probably her sister, but I wonder what she's doing here…"
Yohan made sure to lock the door behind him before turning to face her.
"Yohan, I'm sorry about yesterday. It was all my fault," she said, her voice trembling slightly as she spoke.
Yohan could tell that she really did mean it.
"It's fine. Chloe was already mad at me anyway."
"You still ended up in that position because of my request, so I felt really bad. I already explained everything to her, so…"
"You explained everything to her?!" Yohan wondered if she actually told her what they were really doing. There's no way that would have made the situation better.
"Yes… but I told her something else, of course...!" she added frantically, noticing Yohan's reaction.
"But she still said that she's not coming back to work here. I'm sorry…"
"That's unfortunate," Yohan said sadly before sighing, "I guess that's probably best for her."
Chloe was far too attached for her own good. She wasn't like Remi or Mia, so she would easily get hurt whenever things like this happened.
"I should get going so I don't take up anymore of your time," Olyvia said.
"You don't have to be in such a rush. It's not like I have any client at the moment… Plus, if you go now, when would you be able to hold up your part of the deal?"
"My part of the deal?" she repeated.
