As Yohan walked to school that morning, he couldn't shake off the thoughts that kept replaying in his head.
His earlier question about what they were planning on doing to him had only one possible answer, and it was something he would never wish upon even his worst enemy.
'These guys are really monsters…' A small bead of sweat rolled down his forehead.
To think they would actually consider allowing something like that to happen to me. We aren't friends but come on… He was almost irritated as he thought about it.
Then his mind went to the other girls who were present at that time. What must have happened to them?
They probably weren't as lucky as I was. But the one who took me home…
As he thought about it, only one person came to mind, and just then he spotted her heading into one of the classrooms.
Yohan followed after her and shut the door.
"Lisa," he called out.
She was startled as she put the books down on the table, Yohan's voice catching her off guard.
She spun around sharply, eyes widening for a split second before she steadied her breath.
"Yohan… you scared me," she said, pressing a hand to her chest.
He didn't move from the door. Didn't blink.
"What the hell happened last night?"
Lisa froze. Her lips parted as if she had an answer ready—but nothing came out.
Yohan stepped closer, his voice low, controlled, but edged with something.
"Answer me."
She was too tense to even meet his gaze, keeping her eyes fixed on the floor.
"I–I don't know what you're talking about," she forced herself to sound confident.
Just looking at her made Yohan feel his blood start to boil.
He grabbed her by the wrist. "Don't try to play dumb. You told me you didn't know Freddie personally, and all of a sudden you're appearing at his party?"
"I got drugged and I don't even know how I made it back home, so you'd better start giving me some answers." His eyes carried no hint of playfulness.
But Lisa wasn't backing down either. She stared fiercely into his burning eyes.
"Yohan, let go of me before I call school security," she said.
"You'll call school security? Go ahead. I'll just tell them about last night. Then you and the rest of those criminals can explain yourselves," Yohan shot back.
"You think I'm scared of that? You can do whatever you want, but I'll advise you to at least make sure you have some type of proof."
"What other proof would they need when I tell them how you all drugged me?" Yohan asked, almost feeling insulted.
"And what evidence do you have to support that claim? Can you even prove I was at that bar last night?"
The more she went on, the more Yohan began to see that she wasn't far from the truth. He really had no concrete evidence.
"It won't matter when those other girls who were there tell them how they were also drugged. Let's see if you'd still be running your mouth then…"
She scoffed as she snatched her hand away.
"Good luck convincing them to talk. You think things are as easy as they seem?" she said with a small chuckle. "If you want a quiet life, just be thankful I was able to save you—and mind your business moving forward."
Then she brushed past him and walked out of the classroom.
Yohan was left stunned for more than a few minutes, the way she spoke to him with confidence even when he had practically caught them red handed, was deeply offsetting.
It was like what he had experienced didn't even matter.
"What sort of backing did Freddie have to make her feel this way?" He wondered.
Regardless he wasn't going to let them get away with it.
He went out in search of the girls from last night but he couldn't find a single one in school.
Even during classes, the three girls that came along with Lisa were no where to be found.
It meant they hadn't returned from wherever they were taken last night.
His first thought was to run to the police and report the matter since the girls could very well be in danger, but he had to reconsider.
He didn't know their names or who they really were, even if he did go to the police they'll take a few days before they search for the girls as a missing person.
Maybe if he tells them the story of last night they'll immediately apprehend Freddie and everyone involved, but that is only if he's able to convince them what he is saying is the truth.
That would then bring him to his final problem, the fact that a case like this wasn't a small matter. It is the kind of case that would cause a major buzz in the city, especially since someone like Freddie Micheal was involved.
Imagine the son of a millionaire carrying out such despicable acts, it would definitely catch the Interest of a lot of people. That kind of publicity was dangerous for Yohan's true agenda, which was taking down Hatoru.
'If I go to the police, I'll be at the center of the case. That would be the same as announcing my position, and right now that's the only leverage I have'
'The moment he finds out that I'm here he would immediately know I'm planning on using his granddaughter to get to him. Then everything would be wasted' He reasoned as he clenched his fist tightly.
He couldn't make any hasty decisions, especially when it could end up endangering the people he cared about. Even if it meant abandoning the girls that were in possible danger. It was hard to accept but there was no other way.
The only thing he could do right now was try his best to stop Freddie and his crew, that might be the only way he could save them.
