Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast

Chapter 1142: Chen Chu Exposed Golden Gates Descend! (I)

The moment Chen Chu and Nuliel reached an agreement, several hidden figures lurking in the shadows trembled in fear.

Among them was a middle-stage true-spirit-level powerhouse from the Gold-Scaled Dragon-Mark Race. It wasn't anywhere close to Chen Chu or Nuliel, but it quickly revealed itself. Chaotic shockwaves roared around it as it frantically shouted, "Honored ones, I no longer wish to contest for the chaotic divine object. I'll leave at once!"

Boom!

A dragon's roar erupted behind the fighter. Then it transformed into the shadow of a golden dragon, speeding away without a second thought. At the same time, other powerhouses of the Dragon-Mark Race, the Blood-Red Horned Race, and Purple Big Dipper Lightning Race, also revealed themselves. They turned into a streak of lights, fleeing in different directions.

Chen Chu and Nuliel's intent to clear the field had thoroughly intimidated these top-level civilization powerhouses. They knew staying here could only mean death. Still, the temptation of a chaotic divine object was hard to resist. A few figures lingered, unwilling to give up their chance.

"Seems like a few of you don't want to live." The True Void Eye opened between Chen Chu's eyebrows. It pierced through the chaotic shockwaves and locked instantly onto two hidden figures.

In his three-faced ten-armed form, Chen Chu held a black stele in his left hand while his right hand tightened into a fist seal. A powerful force that could shake the heavens surged through him.

Boom!

Chen Chu's black fist, a million kilometers wide, tore through chaos and instantly appeared three hundred million kilometers away. The attack sent turbid currents racing outward, like a world-ending meteor burning through the atmosphere.

Blood-red light flared under the fist as two Blood-Red Horned warriors were forced out of hiding. One was at the middle stage of the true spirit level, while the other was at the beginning stage. Using their divine abilities to hide, they never thought they would be discovered.

"Block it!" They cried out, terrified.

Boom!

The fist condensed from the principle of strength and the true form of the demon god was unrivaled in its dominance. Chaos itself was blasted open from its strike, leaving a hole ten million kilometers wide. Everything within it was crushed into nothingness. The two powerhouses were obliterated, exploding into a storm of blood mist that spread across a million kilometers.

However, their life force still lingered in that mist. Blood-red principle power surged, trying to pull itself together and recondense, but it was too late. The will embedded in Chen Chu's fist overpowered them, crushing both their principles and their will. The black fist slowly ground their existence into nothing.

As Chen Chu dealt with them, Nuliel also surged forward. Its figure reappeared across the shattered chaos. With four arms gripping two Shadow God-Slaying Sabers, it swung in two directions.

One saber light slashed toward a floating fragment of void, a natural treasure thrown out during the collapse of the chaotic world. It radiated the aura of an incomplete principle, so weak that the Shadow War God powerhouses had ignored it while chasing after other divine objects.

Bang!

The fragment, a chunk of ore several hundred meters across, shattered instantly, and a rampage ape clad in red war armor and golden flames jumped out from within. Facing Nuliel's strike, its face twisted in horror. "Please! Spare me!"

Whoosh!

The saber light tore it apart before its plea could even fade. This middle-stage true-spirit Fridi fighter had hidden itself with secret arts; it was powerful, but a single strike from Nuliel shredded it to pieces. After cutting apart the ape, the saber light continued carving through the chaotic currents, leaving behind a ten-million-kilometer long abyss of death before finally dissipating.

On the other side, Nuliel's second saber struck an obsidian giant. Its true form was condensed principle, and it stood more than fifty thousand meters tall. This Shadow War God powerhouse had been chasing a streak of white light, within which was a silver token with principle markings and a dazzling halo. Right now, however, the warrior could no longer care about the token. Horror twisted its face as it turned and saw the saber strike cutting toward it at a speed faster than time.

"Supreme ancient god, why?" it roared. The giant raised its twin sabers, and black flames of principle engulfed its body as it ignited its origin. Crossing the blades, it tried to block Nuliel's strike.

Boom!

The effort was useless. The giant's sabers shattered, its arms exploded into fragments, and a heartbeat later, it split in half from the force of the slash. Nuliel's saber will, fused with principle and empowered by a world-creation-level divine weapon, was unstoppable. Before such primordial power, no one could withstand even a single strike.

The sudden slaughter of their own kind left the other Shadow warriors stunned. Their faces turned pale with fear. Why had Nuliel slain one of their own?

Within the raging, turbid shockwaves, Nuliel gripped its sabers and coldly said, "Impressive. I don't know which race you come from, but to seize and replace one of mine is remarkable. If not for the chaotic divine object's birth making your aura falter for an instant, even I wouldn't have noticed you had taken its place."

Every Shadow fighter froze in shock. They had never imagined that it was possible for their peer to be replaced like that, to have its body stolen and its memories and power claimed. To seize a true-spirit level powerhouse in silence and deceive even Nuliel's eyes was beyond comprehension. Whoever this hidden foe was, its ability was terrifying beyond measure.

Hehehehe!

A sinister laughter echoed, followed by a raspy voice, "Ah, who would've thought. I still got caught after all. It seems I have to abandon this body now."

From deep within the abyss carved open by Nuliel's saber, gray smoke gathered. It wove itself into the shape of a tattered robe, shrouding a hollow figure. In its hands was a withered wooden staff, and the pressure it radiated was near the peak of the true spirit level.

This figure was a member of the Estrela Race. The moment it appeared, formless power spread outward, twisting chaos across a million kilometers. Space itself dimmed and twisted, growing hazy and unreal.

Puff!

Before Nuliel could strike again, the Estrela's shadowy world of darkness collapsed like a bubble, and it vanished without a trace.

"You Estrelas really do not want to live." Seeing another Estrela infiltrating the Shadow War Gods filled Nuliel with a cold, murderous intent.

Boom!

The saber light in Nuliel's hands surged skyward as it lifted both of its sabers into the air. Soon, the two sabers fused into one, forming a grotesque black-and-gold blade bristling with spikes. In its complete form, the Shadow God-Slaying Saber radiated even greater power. The sharpness alone tore apart distorted principles and ripped through the turbid currents of chaos.

"Refined God-Slayer, unite the boundless forces of the eight desolations into one!"

Five arcs of black saber light, each tens of millions of kilometers long, cut across the void. They looked like world-ending blades, ripping through layers of dimension and plunging into the twisted depths.

A wretched scream echoed as the Estrela powerhouse was torn apart.

"Your power can actually pierce into dimensions? Unacceptable!" The furious, hateful voice resounded as a scrap of gray robe drifted away and vanished deeper into the dimensional layers.

"Count yourself lucky," Nuliel said coldly.

That full-force slash had not only destroyed the Estrela's true form, it had also obliterated ninety percent of the origin of its will, leaving it grievously wounded. As a true spirit being, its powerful life force would probably allow it to survive, but after a strike like this, its cultivation would collapse. To return to the true spirit level would be nearly impossible.

Gripping its fearsome saber, Nuliel turned back toward the shattered chaos. Across from it, the three-faced, ten-armed demon god stared back. In moments, the two had cleared the battlefield. The hidden powerhouses of five top-level civilizations had either fled or been wounded or killed.

Now the real fight would begin. Before the other two guardians arrived, they would unleash their full strength to decide who would claim the chaotic divine object. Neither of them spared a glance toward the remaining alien powerhouses that had entered this place. Even if some wielded strange secret arts or bent the principles with their divine abilities, none were qualified to contend for the Chaotic Bronze Bell in front of these two.

Suddenly, the bell at the center of chaos trembled. A deep, resonant toll rang out, spreading across the void.

Dong!

Transparent sonic shockwaves burst outward. Everything was crushed as the shockwaves carved out a zone of destruction ten million kilometers wide.

From within the dark destruction zone, a massive, winged figure appeared. It was more than ten thousand meters tall, and gleamed like a silver statue. This was a powerhouse of the Heavenly Silver-Winged Ant Race. Its hand hovered only a few hundred meters from the bell. Silver runes of principle wrapped around its arm, radiating an aura of overwhelming might.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

That raw power, as powerful as a primordial star, tore through the bell's rippling sound waves, smashing them apart with unstoppable force. However, the obstruction from the ripples had bought enough time. Nuliel reacted first, its voice cold and harsh. "Stop, Darius. Put down the object."

Boom!

Five arcs of black saber light, each tens of millions of kilometers long, ripped through dimension and void again. With world-shattering sharpness, they appeared behind the Silver-Winged Ant.

At the same time, Chen Chu's voice echoed through the near-frozen spacetime. "So impatient. I thought you'd keep hiding in the shadows."

With his Insightful Eye, now a top-level divine ability, Chen Chu had known that something or someone was stalking him. However, this Silver-Winged Ant's concealment had been so skillful that as long as it refrained from striking, even Chen Chu couldn't immediately pinpoint its exact position.

Boom!

Chaos was sealed by the Heaven-Piercing Stele. Four golden-white suns blazed across the sky, joining Nuliel's saber strike to envelop the Silver-Winged Ant.

The pressure was overwhelming, and the Silver-Winged Ant's expression hardened. It knew it couldn't meet the strike head-on.

Roar!

A dragon-like cry rang out. Bright light erupted from the Silver-Winged Ant's body and formed a massive phantom of the Ant. It was as vast as a Great Thousand World, stretching nearly a billion kilometers. It raised its head and roared toward the sky before charging toward the incoming attack.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Stars shattered and abysses tore open across the sky. The combined strike of three powerhouses, each as strong as a primordial star, exploded with force that shook time itself, quaking the heavens and spawning endless terrifying anomalies.

In that single clash, the silver Ant phantom shattered into fragments. The Silver-Winged Ant reeled back, and its life force shook violently inside its body. Its true form became a streak of silver light that tore through the chaos and was flung tens of millions of kilometers away. Meanwhile, the destructive aftershocks of the clash shredded every last ripple of sound waves, and swallowed the bronze bell.

Dong!

Azure-gray light shimmered over the bell's surface as it released a deafening, majestic toll. The force knocked it from its place of emergence and sent it hurtling through the void in a streak of light, toward the Silver-Winged Ant. Before Ant could even crack a smile, the carvings of flowers, birds, fish, and insects etched across the bell's surface suddenly came alive, swimming and fluttering across the starry sky.

Suddenly, light even brighter than before erupted from the bell. It froze in mid-air, and exploded with a power equal to a primordial star.

Seeing the bronze bell tremble, Nuliel's expression darkened. "This is bad. The spiritual power inside the bell is too strong. It's about to choose its master."
