Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast

Chapter 1146: Principle of Chaos or World-Creation-Level Weapon? (I)

"Run! Hurry!"

"What is that thing? My principle, it's dead!"

Most of the Heavenly Pool Forbidden Zone had already been consumed by the dark-red mist. At its edges, the few aliens who hadn't encountered Chen Chu screamed in despair as the mist consumed them. Wherever it passed, the land turned gray and life was erased.

Inside the Great Thousand World, which had already fractured into countless micro-worlds, mountains, forests, and turbulent spatial currents were all swallowed one after another. The alien powerhouses trapped inside vanished along with them.

They tried to resist using world-level weapons and treasures, and some even drew on the power of their laws and principles, but it was all futile. The forbidden zone drowned in despair as everything withered and died.

When the dark-red mist finally covered every corner and devoured every last trace of life, the already unstable Great Thousand World, which had already been shattered before, was completely destroyed. However, unlike the violent destruction of other Great Thousand Worlds, this destruction didn't come with thunder or earth-shaking roars. It ended in silence; the gray remains of the forbidden zone crumbled like rotting wood and quietly disintegrated. In the vast starry sky, only a huge hole remained, stretching for billions of kilometers.

From that dark hole, a massive head slowly emerged. It was hundreds of billions of kilometers across, its form hazy and made of dark-red mist. Nine single horns rose from its crown, twisting like a symbol of domination.

Nearly one million Black-Armored Imperial Guards and the few thousand surviving alien powerhouses stared at the monstrous head that had devoured the entire forbidden zone. They trembled uncontrollably, and a primal fear welled up from their depths.

Even Chen Chu's hands trembled when he saw that massive, blurry head. A crushing sense of danger weighed on his soul. The trace of heavenly-tier bloodline energy inside his soul stirred restlessly, as if recognizing something of its own kind.

Heavenly tier... That drop of blood had come from a heavenly-tier being. Before it fell, its strength must have reached at least the Seventh Primordial Heaven. This was why that power was so devastating. Even Chen Chu could only defend himself; there was nothing else he could do against the spreading dark-red blood mist. What he couldn't understand was how Nuliel, a mere semi-primordial being, had managed to obtain that black bone and even dared to keep it.

As Chen Chu pondered, a hoarse, malicious voice echoed inside his mind.You... are quite interesting. The origin of your soul has already reached the heavenly tier.

Boom!

Startled by the sudden voice, Chen Chu's black hair flared as golden-white and purple-gray lightning exploded around him. The chaotic sky cracked apart from the violent surge of power, and the principles of heaven and earth recoiled, forming a domain of absolute darkness.

Chen Chu's explosive outburst sent Shi Feirou, Shi Hong, and the other true-spirit-level powerhouses flying back. Thousands of kilometers away, Shi Feirou steadied herself and looked toward Chen Chu, who now stood surrounded by arcs of lightning infused with supreme principles.

"Brother Chen! What's wrong?" she called out.

The imperial guards and the alien powerhouses also all turned to look at him.

"I'm fine," Chen Chu said quietly, glaring at the enormous black hole that stretched across the starry sky.

By now, the terrifying head had already turned away. It drifted past the shattered barrier of the universe and vanished into the endless Sea of Chaos.

Chen Chu watched it disappear in silence before turning back to the others. "Let's go. There's nothing left here."

"Yes, sir."

Moments later, more than a dozen massive islands carrying the human race began to move. Surrounding a dark purple palace that was ten thousand kilometers wide, they slowly flew toward the Chaotic Imperial City.

Once the humans had departed, the remaining aliens exchanged glances. Then one by one, they turned into streaks of light and vanished into the distant stars. A day later, every civilization scattered across the chaotic starry sea was in uproar. News of the battle for the treasure spread like wildfire.

According to rumors, a chaos-level treasure had emerged within the Heavenly Pool Forbidden Zone. However, during the fierce struggle to claim it, an unexpected disaster occurred. Nuliel, the guardian of the Shadow War God Race, unleashed a forbidden power that consumed everything in its path. The entire forbidden zone was erased, and countless alien powerhouses perished in an instant.

Among the dead were three semi-primordial guardians who had already been wounded in battle, most of the powerhouses from the five top civilizations that entered the zone, and nearly ninety percent of all other aliens. Of the four peak civilizations' guardians, only the Divine Might City Lord of the human race survived, though he was gravely injured.

As for the chaos-level treasure that started it all, its fate remained unknown. Some believed the Divine Might City Lord had claimed it, while others believed that it was secretly taken by someone from another top-level civilization. No one could say for sure what truly happened.

At the Chaotic Imperial City, within the towering divine palace that stood high above the clouds, Chen Chu sat on his throne. He studied the damaged saber and spear that were floating in front of him. Faint, translucent text only visible to Chen Chu appeared across their surfaces.

[Shadow God-Slaying Saber (World-creation level, damaged): Can be fused with the Eight Desolations Creation Doomsday Halberd by consuming ten million attribute points. This will greatly increase the halberd's power.]

[Eternal Heavenly Dragon Spear (World-creation level, damaged): Can be fused with the Eight Desolations Creation Doomsday Halberd by consuming ten million attribute points.]

[Note: If both the Shadow God-Slaying Saber and the Eternal Heavenly Dragon Spear are fused with the Eight Desolations Creation Doomsday Halberd, it will advance to the world-creation level, and its power will grow exponentially.]

In his previous battle, Chen Chu had slain three guardians and obtained their divine weapons, each at the world-creation level. However, weapons of this caliber were deeply linked to their wielders, just like Chen Chu and his halberd. Thus, when he killed them, these weapons were almost completely destroyed. Their origins were shattered, and only fragments of their shells remained.

This was why he wanted to merge them with his halberd. By doing this, his halberd would evolve from a pseudo-world-creation-level weapon to a proper world-creation-level one. There was one problem: Chen Chu didn't have enough attribute points.

At that thought, he let out a soft sigh and turned his head slightly. Beside his throne was an enormous bronze bell, nearly a thousand meters tall. Its surface was covered with intricate carvings of flowers, birds, fish, beasts, and countless constellations that seemed to stretch into infinity.

When the bell first emerged, it radiated with divine light and power. Now, however, with its light withdrawn and presence subdued, it looked completely ordinary. However, with Chen Chu's cultivation, he could still feel the powerful energy sealed in the bell. As he looked at it, faint transparent text shimmered to life on its surface.

[Chaos-level treasure: Equal to a world-creation-level divine weapon, but far more precious. It contains a complete principle of chaos. After partial refinement to establish ownership, twenty million attribute points can be used to merge with the bell, allowing comprehension of the principle of chaos within.]

Twenty million attribute points...Chen Chu sighed again. He had around twenty-four million left, which was only enough to choose one path. The first path was to enhance his halberd to the world-creation-level, the second was to merge with the bell and grasp a new principle. Even for Chen Chu, this was a difficult choice.

Upgrading the halberd would strengthen his foundation and dramatically boost his combat power. Refining the bronze bell, on the other hand, would grant another devastating technique, but it wouldn't enhance his base strength as much. With his halberd enhanced, every strike, every transformation, and every state, especially his Dark Star World-Ending Form with all ten gates opened, would scale in power far beyond his current limits.

Still, the thought of mastering a principle of chaos that he resonated perfectly with made him hesitate. Since returning to the Chaotic Imperial City, he had been weighing this choice for half a day.
