As his cultivation arts, divine abilities, and innate abilities fused together after breaking through to the primordial level, the data for both Chen Chu and the now Heavenly Azure Dragon Emperor became far simpler. At the same time, enormous changes had occurred. For instance, his physique, which was previously more than 1,200 times stronger than beings of the same level at the true spirit level, was now shown as only 800 plus times on record.
Of course, that was merely the surface data. Though it appeared as though Chen Chu's true form had weakened, in reality, it was far greater than it had ever been at the true spirit level.
After all, at the primordial level, every being who reached that height had already walked to the end of their path. Each one was overwhelmingly powerful beyond measure. Under such conditions, for Chen Chu's true form to still maintain a strength over eight hundred times that of his peers was horrifying beyond imagination. With his true form alone, he could already face a primordial sovereign head-on.
The reason he remained so powerful after stepping into the primordial level was because the two true forms could now share portions of their energy. Tempered by the Dragon Emperor's supreme powers and divine transformation abilities, the strength and potential of Chen Chu's true form had been pushed even further. Likewise, the Dragon Emperor had become so overwhelmingly strong, over 1,500 times that of other colossal beasts of its level, because of that same shared power.
With the feedback of Chen Chu's two supreme principles and the fusion of numerous forces, they had shattered the 999-fold chaotic limit that once bound all primordial lifeforms, becoming a heaven-defying existence. Yet this was only the foundation. From here on, the paths of Chen Chu's two forms would diverge completely.
When Chen Chu entered his Ten-Cycle World-Destroying True King Form, his base strength and defense would increase more than three-hundred-fold, while his laws and divine abilities would surge in tandem. In contrast, the Dragon Emperor's Power of All Ends could only enhance its base physical power and defense.
Moreover, after this breakthrough, both Chen Chu's and the Dragon Emperor's powers became even more streamlined. All abilities had fused as one; their normal state was already their peak state, with only a single explosive form remaining.
Chen Chu had anticipated such changes long ago. Thus, when he glanced over the data, he wasn't surprised. Even the disappearance of the attribute points function from the panel was expected. Now that he had reached the primordial level, the gap between power levels had grown too vast. The attribute points refined from transcendent beast life essence were no longer of any use to him.
However, what made both Chen Chu and the Dragon Emperor unconsciously hold their breaths was the new content that appeared below the attributes section, separated by a special divider.
Fusion.
The human body and the colossal beast body could now share and synchronize one another's strongest powers, entering a semi-Divine-Fusion state similar to the one Chen Chu achieved long ago during the space-time summoning, when his energy projection merged with the Dragon Emperor. Now, with both sides having ascended in cultivation, this semi-Divine-Fusion state would become far more powerful.
Although Chen Chu had already suspected this possibility when the Dragon Emperor broke through to the primordial level, seeing it confirmed still stirred excitement within him, and a smile tugged at his lips.
This was the true trump card. At the primordial level, every primordial powerhouse or primordial colossal beast possessed a life-bound innate ability and primordial principle ultimate technique, coupled with thousands or even millions of years of accumulated power. Their principles, divine abilities, and secret techniques far outnumbered Chen Chu's, and many had refined their true bodies to become ten or even dozens of times stronger than peers of the same realm.
Combined with their chaotic treasures and world-creation-level divine weapons, Chen Chu's only real advantage over them was his unparalleled true form, bolstered by several additional primordial-level powers and supreme divine abilities.
According to his estimation, in their normal states, both he and the Dragon Emperor were invincible within the Third Primordial Heaven. With their eight-hundred-fold and thousand-fold true forms, they could shatter the limits of space and time itself, touching the threshold of primordial-sovereign-level might.
Once they entered their Ten-Cycle World-Destroying True King Form, or the Black Hole Tyrant Form, even a primordial sovereign could be suppressed, but only suppressed.
Between the Third and Fourth Primordial Heavens laid a massive gulf, similar to the difference between a primordial star and a true spirit. With a mere flick of the hand, a primordial sovereign could suppress a monarch. Likewise, once they mastered full control of time and space within their respective "worlds," even sovereigns of equal rank could hardly kill one another.
However, with the power of fusion, both Chen Chu and the Dragon Emperor, each standing at the Third Primordial Heaven, could unleash destructive might capable of slaying even sovereigns or stronger.
At the primordial level, the ability to fight beyond one's major realm was the very definition of a true trump card, and this was merely the beginning. Once Chen Chu and the Dragon Emperor succeeded in refining and devouring the undying true form left behind by Heng, as well as the sealed undying demonic body, their cultivation would rapidly soar toward the Sixth Primordial Heaven, nearing the Seventh Primordial Heaven's pseudo-undying realm.
By then, Chen Chu would rise as a true overlord of the Sea of Chaos, wielding power capable of sweeping across infinite worlds and suppressing the heavens themselves.
Phew!
Chen Chu exhaled deeply, calming the surge of emotion in his chest. This gift from a once-peak eternal-level being was so immense that even now he still felt somewhat dazed.
Of course, the price for such a gift was that, after breaking through to the eternal level, he would have to intervene in a battle between three eternal beings, a battle fierce enough to bring death even to those of eternity. To Chen Chu, however, it was worth it.
Heng's aid had allowed him to swiftly overcome the so-called "primordial weakness period," ensuring that during the beginning stage of the Third Primordial Heaven, he wouldn't encounter fatal danger from primordial sovereigns or even undying-level entities.
Moreover, as the origin of humanity, Heng could not be allowed to perish, at least not before a second human origin appeared. Chen Chu was confident that even if Heng were to fall, it would no longer affect him or those who had already ascended to the primordial level, such as the true emperors of the divine regions or the principle true spirits.
However, those beneath the level of principles, across countless worlds, universes, and dimensions of time and space, would all inevitably be swept into the aftermath. Being erased by the power from the eternal layer would sweep away, among others, Chen Chu's friends and family in the Solar System. They wouldn't all die, but more than half of them would probably vanish. Human fate would be cleaved off, and cultivation would become unbearably hard. In that situation, the whole human race could only hope to leap forward if a heaven-defying human carved out a new path and stepped into eternity again, even after billions of years had passed.
At the thought of that, Chen Chu's eyes cooled. "Next, I need to handle the important matters."
He looked toward the depths of the Black World. His enormous true form slowly rose, and space trembled. Massive planets in the outer void quivered, as continents and mountain ranges in the world collapsed. The ground shuddered and ocean surfaces heaved into kilometer-high tsunamis, as if the end of days were arriving.
The sudden catastrophe terrified everyone who had already been shaken by the Dragon Emperor's roar.
Boom!
The whole Black World shook more violently. At the City of Heroes, Amitya, already the strongest Valkyrie, hovered above the Valkyrie Academy. Powerful instructors stood around her, all staring upward in shock.
There, the phantom of a World Tree that had appeared a century ago rose again. A white world spread across the sky, and the tree trunk plunged into the outer heavens. Branches extended and hung whole galaxies, an enormous, awe-inspiring scene.
What made Amitya and the others gasp was that the projection's trunk split from the middle. A black rift opened, millions of kilometers tall and hundreds of thousands of kilometers wide.
The rift looked like a different world. On the other side, a towering figure silently stood. It was thirty thousand kilometers tall, adorned with an imperial crown and clad in imperial robes, as its sixteen arms formed an imposing silhouette.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The instant that figure appeared, a tangible pressure swept across the world. Everyone's consciousness rang with a roar; their eyes rolled back and they fainted. Even Amitya, who could rival ancient-titan-level divine kings in her third Valkyrie form, had no right to stare directly at the True Dark Star Demon God Form. People fell from the sky, struck senseless.
Chen Chu looked down. He glanced indifferently at the continent below, where nothing much had changed. He slowly extended his hands and plunged them into the ground.
Boom!
A continent on the other side of the Black World, overrun by countless demonic beings, collapsed.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
With a slight tug from Chen Chu, the world's surface tore open. A world rift a few tens of millions of kilometers long ripped free, many times wider than the planet itself.
White, translucent roots shot into the void from the rift's edge. They stretched for untold distances, sealing the terrible darkness beneath. At the left corner of the rift floated three ruined underground palaces reduced to rubble. On the right stretched an ash-black underground palace complex that extended for hundreds of thousands of kilometers.
Inside the Underground Palace of Evil Gods, Boroedo and Mbolak looked up in horror. They stared at the familiar towering silhouette in the sky and couldn't believe their eyes. The style of the imperial robe, the indifferent face beneath the Imperial Crown of Twenty-Four Heavens, it all struck them as the true form of their "good brother" who had been missing for a century.
Chu Batian.
They hadn't seen their brother for a hundred years, and his true form had changed drastically. Most terrifying of all was the pressure he now emanated, a pressure more dreadful even than that of a primordial monarch.
Both Hell Apostles stood stunned and bewildered, but Chen Chu's attention had already fallen into the darkness below. There, a hideous silhouette writhed, wrapped in many slender, translucent roots. It let out a horrifying roar. "Humans... I sensed the aura of a human from you. Damn you, you all must die. I will slay you all!"
Chen Chu looked down and coldly regarded the divine soul phantom that still radiated the might of a primordial sovereign beneath him. He said in a low voice, "You might not get the chance."
At those words, the sky of the Black World broke apart without sound. A massive, hideous dragon head emerged and cast a shadow that cloaked the entire world.
