Reborn with Consumption System

Chapter 160: Boring_3

It was, of course, impossible to simply let things slide. In a high-rise apartment building with such a dense population, if the trash wasn't cleared every two or three days during summer, the entire floor would reek.

The sanitation inspection was an overt strategy, impossible to block.

However, the same inspection could yield vastly different outcomes depending on whether the approach was "good enough" or outright "nitpicking."

Ultimately, all the classmates would be tormented to the point of unbearable misery and endless complaints.

And their dissatisfaction and hatred would inevitably be directed at Han Lie—They'd think, "You offend people, and we're the ones who suffer for it, damn it!"

By then, the collective alienation of Han Lie would be an inevitable outcome; there would be no other possibility.

Han Lie wouldn't suffer any substantial harm, but he would definitely be disgusted to the point of extreme discomfort.

Yu Xueqin was too insidious. How damn devious could one person be?! So, you can't deal with me, and your solution is to drag everyone else down with you, manipulating power to toy with people's hearts?! This kind of behavior is like when the Japanese, during a siege, would use bullets to drive our own civilians forward as cannon fodder. Those who ran too slow were shot dead on the spot, while their commanding officer would be laughing heartily from behind, enjoying the spectacle of our forces in disarray. Is that even human?!

Han Lie had never despised someone so intensely; his face instantly turned cold.

Conversely, Yin Qin was immensely pleased.

As a third-year student, she was well aware of how revolting frequent surprise inspections could be. Seeing Han Lie's deathly grimace filled her with a perverse joy.

"Han Lie, I'm sorry, okay? Ting Ting, I was too impulsive just now. I apologize to you, alright?"

Her mood lifted, and she started laying on that cloying, affected act again.

Ugh, no, to be more precise, she was forcing that cutesy, affected tone.

It was so affected that Han Lie fantasized about prying her legs open, hopping on a motorcycle, and ramming into them full throttle.

Not to shatter them, necessarily, but at least to smash them to the point where she couldn't close her legs for a month. Then, every time she tried her affected little act, she'd flinch all over in pain. Might that help her kick the habit of that affected act?

As these thoughts crossed his mind, Han Lie suddenly found the situation somewhat amusing.

He had enough confidence in himself to still be able to laugh.

Xi Luting, however, could not.

The intelligent girl finally realized what Yu Xueqin was up to. Instantly, she grew so furious her willow-like eyebrows shot up. Not knowing what else to do, she indignantly slammed her hand on the table and rose to her feet.

She was about to explode.

Ah, no—she had already exploded.

With a loud BANG, Xi Luting shot to her feet. She grabbed a dish from the table and, with a flick of her wrist, sent an entire plate of mapo tofu flying straight at someone's head.

The most bizarre part was that she hadn't aimed for Yin Qin; she had drenched Yu Xueqin...

"Yu Xueqin, I was too easy on you, and you took it for granted, huh?!

You're nothing but a toad festering in the mud at the bottom of a well!

Do you really think becoming the student council president makes you somebody?

Piss me off, and I'll flip your table in a heartbeat—what can you possibly do about it?

And you dare to challenge Han Lie? Are you even worthy?

You lay a finger on him, and you'll be expelled.

He could beat you to a pulp, and he'd face no consequences.

Did you drink too much of Yin Qin's vile blood, making you hallucinate that you and Han Lie are on the same level?!

Go home and ask your mom for a couple of rolls of toilet paper to eat; maybe that'll help your brain. Stop being so damn naive! What right do you have to make Han Lie follow your rules?

You want to play dirty, and you expect us to play along like it's some childish game?

We'll just stomp you to death!

You stupid asshole!"

Silence.

The vicinity fell deathly quiet.

Nearly half the cafeteria was plunged into a silent zone, everyone staring dumbfounded at the suddenly erupting Queen Ting.

Wang Tianqing, Tan Xuan, Shunzi, Yang Jinming, and even Yin Qin were all utterly flabbergasted.

Damn, girl, you're fierce!

What about your manners?

You're supposed to be a goddess... Where did your decorum go?!

Yet, even while ranting like a fishwife, Xi Luting still looked remarkably beautiful.

Han Lie even felt as if she were glowing.

Our Ting Ting is so clever... Before, flipping tables was just self-destructive, but now she's learned how to make others explode too! So cool, so cool!

Han Lie smiled and took Xi Luting's hand, then gently pressed down on Fang Feifei's head, who was itching to jump into the fray.

Behave now, don't add to the chaos. Xi Luting has me backing her up; what do you have? Your little pigtails?

Yu Xueqin's face alternated between shades of green and white. He ground his teeth so hard they audibly clicked, and his eyes seemed to spit fire.

Yet, ultimately, he didn't dare do anything to Xi Luting.

Han Lie had initially been prepared for Yu Xueqin to act like a cornered dog, lashing out desperately, but his concern proved unnecessary—Yu Xueqin simply didn't possess that kind of mettle.

Yin Qin frantically pulled out a large wad of tissues and wet wipes, clumsily trying to clean Yu Xueqin's face.

Bits of soft tofu slid down, and the chili oil quickly stained his white shirt.

He gave up trying to clean himself, instead pointing a trembling finger at Xi Luting, shaking like someone with Parkinson's disease.

"Alright, alright! We'll see about this!"

His eyes were bloodshot, his appearance disheveled, and his attitude even uglier.

Four words perfectly described him: utterly exasperated and furious.

Yu Xueqin was genuinely enraged, to the point where he no longer seemed to fear Han Lie.

Never in his life had he suffered such humiliation; the hatred he felt was bone-deep.

A sudden cacophony erupted nearby.

It was the sound of onlooking students, all whispering amongst themselves, creating a collective murmur.

Yu Xueqin instinctively felt that everyone was mocking him.

How dare they?! Xi Luting, how dare you do this to me?!

Thus, Yu Xueqin spat out another threat, "So you look down on the student council president, huh? Fine! You all think you're so great? Just you wait!"

Han Lie was not pleased.

"Heh."

Letting out a soft sneer, Han Lie shook his head. He looked down condescendingly at Wang Tianqing and said, "President Wang, I'll leave what happens next to you."

"Huh?!"

Wang Tianqing was completely bewildered.
