The way he froze felt like being under the effects of immobilis, but this was vastly different altogether.

He felt his fives senses fading away. And even then the spell's effects didn't stop there. Aiden felt his very thoughts and intent slowly fading away from him.

Captain Finn's "All Black" spell was a conceptual attack that dyed everything in "black". It would slowly start to eat away at your senses and then the very thoughts you conjure up in your mind would simply blacken out. As if you never had thoughts before. Even an Intent to Act would simply vanish.

Whilst aiden had this vision slowly fade away from him, he tried to wonder what sort of spell this was, for only when you had figured it out could you then proceed to think of a counter.

But each time a thought formed, it got dyed in black and simply vanished.

It was in every likelihood, that ultimate spell to would have won the battle over to Finn, if Aiden was a regular mage without a system.

Just before Aiden's sights dimmed, he had thought of the Zero Effect Destruction Skill. And although the thought of "zero effect" vanished almost as soon as it came, the system knew the intent behind it and activated the skill on Aiden's behalf.

[Zero Effect]

This skill destroyed the effects of magic, and so the effect that the spell 'All Black' had on Aiden's five senses, thoughts and intent was annulled.

The grin that had built up on Finn's face instantly vanished when he saw Aiden swing his arm, as if trying to adjust his muscles.

"But how?!" Finn questioned with terror in his eyes. All Black was his most powerful darkness magic spell, which he felt with certainty, was going to win this exchange.

Even the others watching couldn't make sense of what was going on.

"I'll give it to you captain, you nearly did me in with that one"

Right then, the system sent Aiden new messages

[New Quest Assigned]

[Special Quest: Defeat The Captain Of The Black Lions ]

[Rewards: ??]

[Bonus Reward: ??]

"The system probably considers him dangerous right after that last attack which is why it issued out this quest" Aiden thought to himself, then returned his attention to the captain who still remained his confusion as to how Aiden broke free of his spell

Aiden laid out both hands to the side theatrically and daid "Let's end this Charade, shall we?" Then he slowly walked towards the captain with a devious grin.

"Am I really going to lose to a Magic Apprentice? Me? A captain?" Finn thought to himself. His pride was hurt, and he would never be able to stand it if he lost to this mage.

And without thinking of any further consequences, he began a chant

"Hear me, O' Sovereign of Disaster..."

The moment The Grand Magus heard that first line of that chant, she instantly stood from her seat, "Finn! Have you lost your mind?! Stop that spell at once!"

But right now, Thamoryn's voice was only background noise to Finn. A large magic circle formed beneath his feet and expanded to cover Aiden's side of the hall, as he continued the chant to complete a God Level Emperor Spell.

Aiden stopped moving, soon as he saw the magic circle that formed underneath his feet.

"…Let ruin crown your throne once more.

From ash, awaken the dominion of wrath

Rise, and let the world remember your name…

"…Ragnaros!"

Aiden listened as he chanted but at last utterance of the God's name, Ragnaros, the supernatural awareness his dragon's sense passive possessed, gave him an intuitive warning of extreme danger.

So much so that without giving it any further thought, Aiden warped away into his pocket domain.

The Instant he teleported away, a huge red chaotic explosion of encapsulated everything within the circle and surged up towards the skies, bursting through the ceiling of the exam halls and reaching even further above.

The Grand Magus immediately casted a spell, causing a translucent barrier of light magic to form infront of she, the Lord and the Captains. Protecting them against the shockwave and flying debris that reached their direction.

The God level, "Call of Ragnaros" was a chant type supplementary spell that directly invoked the powers of the God of Chaos and Disaster, Ragnaros.

The range of the explosion was entirely dependent on the range of the magic circle extended by the caster using his mana.

Within that circle, everything caught within circle except the caster of the spell, would face utter chaotic explosion power of the god itself.

Just as the explosion passed and the captain huffed consistently due to exertion, Aiden appeared directly behind Finn and grabbed his shoulder.

"It's over," Aiden said calmly.

Before Finn could react, He whispered, "Mana Steal."

Finn's eyes widened in horror as he felt his mana being drained away at an alarming rate. The Captain fell to one knee, gasping, completely depleted.

Then this "Aiden", faded away.

it was an Avatar!

Soon as Aiden had warped away into his dimension to avoid the explosion range, he used his self-duplication skill, and sent out an avatar in his stead.

This was because he wasn't sure when the explosion was going to pass and could not risk returning himself, lest he got caught in the spell's devastating power.

The real one reappeared infront of the weakned captain, right after the avatar faded.

Aiden stared down at the Finn's defeated face, moved his hand towards his face and flicked his middle finger at the captain's forehead.

The strength behind the flick of his finger caused enough concussive force to knock out the captain.

The hall was silent as the captains could not make sense of what they had just seen. None of it made a single iota of sense to them.

Different thoughts ran through their head but acknowledged one fact.

Aiden was on a level above they themselves as Captains.

Oberon began to clap slowly, with a satisfied smile on his face. "Magnificent." he said. "Absolutely magnificent."
