As soon as House Silverlight's people entered the city, the Elemental Assassins immediately relayed the information to her.
She knew they had an ulterior motive for coming, most likely seeking one of the seven treasures. However, the Court of Darkness needed to establish a good reputation and could not afford to appear too arrogant. They had to maintain a proper attitude.
Cyriel stood quietly by Natasha's side, controlling the entire space of the Court of Darkness, preventing any harm from befalling Natasha. Countless Elemental Assassins also lurked in the surroundings.
Julian squinted as he looked at Natasha. Although he couldn't see her face, the alluring and lazy aura she emitted made him momentarily lose focus.
I must find a way to get this woman!
A torrent of thoughts swirled in his mind.
The two senior officers noticed Julian's dazed state and frowned.
"Please excuse us, Madam. We do have something we wish to discuss with you, which is why we have resorted to this method," one of the officers said.
"Oh? What do you wish to discuss?" Natasha asked indifferently.
One senior officer got straight to the point.
"Previously, House Silverlight stored a divine artifact for auction at the Blood Magic Society, known as the Breath Jade."
"Now that the Blood Magic Society has been destroyed, I'm sure you know who was behind it. The Breath Jade is of great importance to House Silverlight."
"So, we have come today in hopes of reclaiming this item. In the future, House Silverlight will certainly have business dealings with the Court of Darkness, and we hope that you, Madam, can show our family some favor."
"We will never reveal this matter to anyone outside of House Silverlight," he added.
Natasha chuckled lightly.
"To come to the Court of Darkness and demand something that was stored at the Blood Magic Society, you truly know how to joke."
"By your logic, if anyone loses something in Twilight City, shouldn't they come to me for it?"
The two senior officers were momentarily speechless.
Natasha refused to acknowledge that the Court of Darkness was responsible for destroying the Blood Magic Society, making their request unreasonable and futile.
It seemed they had no choice but to resort to more forceful measures.
Julian sighed at the opportune moment, his tone tinged with hidden excitement.
"It's truly a pity to sacrifice the reputation and future of the Court of Darkness for a single divine artifact."
"I hope you reconsider, Madam. House Silverlight is not so easily deceived."
He locked eyes with Natasha for a moment, then turned and left.
The two senior officers knew that, given the situation, they had little chance of retrieving the artifact, so they followed Julian out of the Court of Darkness.
They knew very well that the Court of Darkness had killed the guardians of the Blood Magic Society. If they reacted too aggressively, the situation could easily spiral out of control.
If the Court of Darkness decided to act without restraint, the consequences would be something they couldn't afford.
Natasha said nothing more and turned back to the upper floor.
House Silverlight was an alchemy family with considerable influence in the Dawonru Empire. Its strength was comparable to that of the Four-Winged Demon Race.
Until the issue of Twilight City was fully resolved, their arrival undoubtedly increased the pressure on the Court of Darkness. Natasha had to be more vigilant. If these factions joined forces, it would undoubtedly be a thorny problem.
Eborwen Family Estate.
Killian and Eborwen were in conversation.
Through Eborwen, Killian learned more about the details of the Blood Magic Society's destruction. This only strengthened his conviction that the Court of Darkness was behind it!
Just then, Julian and two senior officers from House Silverlight arrived at the Eborwen estate.
"The owner of the Court of Darkness refuses to compromise!" one of the senior officers reported.
Though Killian had already anticipated the outcome, hearing the report still left him displeased.
Julian's eyes flickered with excitement as he spoke.
"There's no chance for peaceful negotiations. Why not take action directly? Perhaps if we apply enough pressure, the Court of Darkness might be forced to compromise."
The two senior officers knew exactly what Julian was thinking.
If they attacked the Court of Darkness, Julian could use the chaos to claim the woman for himself. From his expression earlier, it was clear that he was already smitten, or he wouldn't have entertained such thoughts.
At this point, they too were considering using force.
After some thought, Killian finally spoke.
"I'll visit the lord's manor."
Eborwen had been waiting for these words. He cleared his throat lightly.
Killian turned to him.
"Killian, sir!" Eborwen said.
"Simply demanding the Court of Darkness' treasure won't work. If she admits to it, she's effectively admitting that she destroyed the Blood Magic Society."
"If it were you, would you admit to it?" Eborwen asked, his eyes flashing with a strange gleam. "If we want to retrieve our possession, we'll need to take more forceful measures."
"But the Court of Darkness' strength is unfathomable. They wiped out the Blood Magic Society in a single night—just that shows how terrifying they are."
"And that's precisely why Lord Tusen has already grown wary of them and wants to eliminate them as soon as possible!"
"Now that House Silverlight is also preparing to act, why not unite forces? Together with the Eborwen family, we can completely wipe out the Court of Darkness."
"This way, we'll solve the lord's concerns and retrieve what is rightfully ours. It's a win-win situation."
"Tusen is also going to take action?"
Killian's eyes narrowed in thought.
Eborwen nodded.
Anyone would want to eliminate such a potential threat.
Julian chimed in eagerly, "With House Silverlight, the lord's manor, and the Eborwen family, even if the Court of Darkness is as powerful as they say, they won't stand a chance."
"Uncle Killian, this is the best chance to retrieve our artifact," Julian urged.
After some contemplation, Killian nodded silently.
The lord's manor and the Eborwen family wanted to use House Silverlight's strength, and House Silverlight didn't mind going along with it!
If House Silverlight were to attack the Court of Darkness alone, they would need to mobilize forces from the family's headquarters. But with Lord Tusen seeing the Court of Darkness as a threat, the situation was different now.
The Doomspear had earned quite a reputation. If Lord Tusen truly decided to take action, the Court of Darkness would need to consider whether they could stand up to it!
With the assistance of these forces, eliminating the Court of Darkness wouldn't be difficult.
"I'll go meet with Lord Tusen!" Killian said as he stood up.
"I'll accompany you, to discuss the specifics," Eborwen replied with a smile.
Julian's heart surged with excitement.
Once the lord's manor took action, combined with the Eborwen family and House Silverlight, the Court of Darkness, no matter how powerful, would be doomed!
As for that woman, all he needed to do was handle things carefully, and she would be his!
This was something to look forward to!
However, what these people didn't know was that the Elemental Assassins, who had been lurking inside the Eborwen family, had already brought news of their scheming back to the Court of Darkness.
"The lord's Doomspear..."
A flash of concern crossed Natasha's eyes.
She was considering whether to immediately strike at the Eborwen family to eliminate one of the factions.
If she waited for House Silverlight to get involved, another variable would be added to the equation.
"Miss!"
Raul's voice came from outside.
"What is it?" Natasha asked.
"The person sent by His Majesty has arrived!" Raul replied.
Natasha's eyes brightened, and she immediately stood up and walked outside.
Four spheres of divine light appeared in the air in front of the Court of Darkness.
It was the contract gods sent by Elizabeth—one True God and three God Generals!
