SSS Ranked Dragon King: My Innate Ability is Unbelievable.

Chapter 119: A Jolly good show

" Well if you'll excuse me, i best go make good use of this opportunity." The old man didn't return to the fire like the others but went to a spot near the carriage before pulling out a sleeping bag from his storage ring.

Su Ping couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. He headed back to the fire instead, where he sat beside Melinda and the kids, Su Ping grimaced when Melinda began giving him an earful about how worried she was back there, even the children joined in to scold him.

The jovial sight quickly eased the mood and put everyone back in good spirits. The meat was soon done and everyone dug in, Melinda who finished saying her mind, shared the meat amongst everyone. The all laughed while they ate. Su Ping who was always opportunistic, took the opportunity to gain some info from the adventurer's.

" Arrgh! How can they be enjoying themselves while I'm here all alone in this useless carriage." Esmeralda couldn't help but wish that one of her maids back home had accompanied her.

" Him..." Esmeralda's face soured when she saw Su Ping in new clothing, eating and enjoying with the rest.

" Your enjoying yourself after what you did to me..."

" No. I won't allow it." Esmeralda sniffled. She waved her hand and retrieved something from her storage ring which resembled a small pouch filled with a strange powder. She then casted a spell that made the pouch morph into an ethereal little blue bird.

Esmeralda opened the window on the left side of the carriage and the bird flew out of, before flying into the forest.

" Just you wait and see, I'll make you regret ever crossing paths with me, mark my words." Esmeralda wiped her nose while her gaze remained fixated on Su Ping.

" Honey, why don't you go inside and get some rest with the children." Su Ping stroked his wife's hair while smiling towards Mel and Sal who looked tired and ready for bed.

" Ok darling, don't take too long~" Melinda reached beneath his strawhat and kissed him on the cheek.

Melinda then carried Mel and Sal before heading back to their cart.

" Brother Rugard, your brother sure was incredible. I thought there was no one that could put the young miss in her place." One of the adventurers bit into his meat and said before turning to face Su Ping with a hearty smile. "To think you did it without taking any damage. The both of you must be from a renowned adventurer party."

" Hahaha, I'm sorry to disappoint but the both of us aren't adventurers." Rugard replied while chugging down a cup of beer. Spatial rings really did came in handy, since they could only store non living matter, they were the perfect storage tools for keeping items such as food, beverages and the likes.

Su Ping didn't want them to use the spatial rings to store what they had taken from the village because the sight of a caravan selling goods was far less inconspicuous than a small group of people with questionable appearances.

Moreover, the spatial ring Rugard had given to Melinda wasn't spacious enough to handle that many goods, even if he used the one he got off Jack's remains, it still wouldn't be enough to house everything they had gathered.

As for why the adventurers didn't just eat their own food but joined Su Ping's group, they were simply trying to be polite, furthermore they had no reason to reject free food from Su Ping's group.

" Brother you jest." The adventurer was dumbstruck by Rugards statement. They were a group of renowned adventurers yet they didn't dare to face the young miss in absence of their captain, without their combined efforts yet Su Ping who had done so without much effort was supposed to be someone without an organizations backing.

" Is Necromancy really that lucrative?" One of them leaned closer, clearly dazed. All the members of his party were nearing their middle ages, they were only able to reach this Level of strength because of the resources they got from the guilds for completing quests and yet they felt slightly inferior to the two before them. Recalling that Su Ping's aura was that of a Lvl 2, they began thinking that he must've used something to hide his true level.

Regarding the adventures about the duo. Not only him but the other adventurers as well, looked certain that necromancy was a truly lucrative profession.

They had crossed paths with necromancers before, they were aware of how some sought necromancers because of how they could cut down production costs.

" I'd rather not spend the night on this matter, I believe that all professions are useful in their own way." Su Ping suddenly said.

" Well said brother! I hear those with holy magic make lots of money as priest's or as holy knights in the church."

" Working in the church is actually that beneficial?"

" Hahaha brother you don't know the half of it." An adventurer laughed. " Those hypocrites can charge you an arm and a leg just for treatment. Not to mention the countless tributes they receive from all over the kingdom from their followers."

" Isn't that underhanded, hasn't anyone complained about their methods, isn't the church supposed to be an organization focused solely on bettering the lives of others." Su Ping said yet what he didn't expect was for the entire group of adventurers to break out into a fit of laughter.

" Brother you really know how to make one laugh. Focused on bettering the lives of others hahahaha." the adventurer continued to laugh.

" Instead of bettering the life of others, I'd say they're more focused on fattening up their pockets."

" Hey don't look at me, I'm not stupid enough to join them in worshipping those gods of theirs." Rugard said when he noticed Su Pings gaze on him.

" Brother Rugard, it seems your brother isn't versed in the matters of the outside world."

" You don't even need to ask, as you can see, the only things he has been attentive to are my sister-in-law, niece, nephew and his pursuit in necromancy."
