Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 1163: A society of spirits

Blob's glowing form pulsed with amusement. "More than that," he said. "They've built what they call a colony—a settlement of their own. They live together now, cooperating under one belief. The dragon egg has become their symbol of divinity. They regard it as their god."

Max blinked, genuinely surprised. "A colony of spirits… and they worship the dragon egg?"

"Exactly," Blob said with a low chuckle. "They built a small city around it—structures formed entirely of condensed soul energy. It's a sight worth seeing, Master. You'll be surprised by how advanced they've become."

Tian extended his hand and conjured a portal, the rippling blue gateway opening before them. "Would you like to see it for yourself?" he asked with a faint smile.

Max nodded, curiosity glinting in his eyes. "Let's go."

Together, they stepped through the portal.

As the world around him shifted, Max felt a familiar sensation wash over him—the flow of spiritual essence in motion. When his vision cleared, he found himself standing on a vast, glowing plain filled with structures that seemed carved from light itself. Towering spires of translucent energy rose from the ground, and threads of soul essence weaved through the air like streams of living light.

At the center of it all lay the dragon egg, nestled upon a crystalline pedestal that emitted waves of pure, ancient power. Dozens—no, hundreds—of small spirits floated around it, their forms shimmering faintly. Some bowed in reverence, others sang in a language that resonated through the soul rather than the ears. The sight was both serene and awe-inspiring.

Max took a slow breath, his gaze steady. "They really built all this?" he asked softly.

Tian smiled faintly. "Yes, Master. Under Blob's guidance, they learned to use the spiritual essence to build and create. It's a civilization in its earliest stage."

Blob nodded, his glowing body flickering with quiet pride. "And this is only the beginning. Once the dragon hatches, this colony will evolve even further. The spirits will follow it as their protector and god."

Max looked at the egg once more, the faint pulse of power from within echoing against his soul. For a long moment, he said nothing. Then a faint smile curved his lips. "Good," he said quietly. "Let them grow. When that dragon hatches, it will have a world waiting for it."

Just as Max stood watching the colony, a soft hum filled the air. The spirits, who had been hovering near the dragon egg moments ago, suddenly stopped what they were doing. As if sensing his arrival, all of them turned at once toward him. Their bodies glowed brighter, releasing trails of shimmering light that floated through the air like golden dust.

Then, in a single wave of motion, they began to fly toward him. Hundreds of spirits moved in unison, their energy pulsing rhythmically, almost like a heartbeat. They surrounded Max, hovering near his shoulders, head, and arms.

Some brushed gently against him as if greeting him, while others circled him with a faint melodic hum that echoed through the Dimension of Spirit. It was as though they were trying to express their affection without words—showing gratitude and reverence through the purest form of energy.

Max couldn't help but smile at the sight. There was something oddly comforting about being surrounded by these small, glowing entities. Their energy was gentle, not chaotic like the power he often wielded in battle. It was soft and warm—almost like being enveloped in pure harmony.

But as he watched them move joyfully around him, a sudden thought crossed his mind. He turned his gaze toward Blob, who floated a few steps away, observing the scene with quiet satisfaction. "Why can't they speak?" Max asked after a moment of silence. "They seem… aware. Almost intelligent. But I haven't heard a single one of them make a sound."

Blob turned toward him, his glowing body pulsing slightly, as if amused by the question. "They aren't at that stage of evolution yet," he explained with a faint smile. "Spirits, like all beings, grow in stages. There are three main stages of evolution for our kind. These young ones are still in the first stage. At this stage, their forms are unstable, and their consciousness is limited. They can understand emotions and commands, but they lack the complexity needed for speech or individual thought."

"I see," Max said thoughtfully, watching the small spirits as they danced around him. "And what about the next stages?"

"The second stage of evolution," Blob continued, "is when a spirit develops a stable consciousness and gains the ability to think, speak, and act independently. It's also the stage where a spirit can begin to use spiritual energy for more refined abilities, like shaping matter or affecting reality. The third stage is extremely rare—it's when a spirit becomes a true spiritual being, capable of bending the laws of existence itself. At that stage, we no longer rely on form or even the concept of individuality."

Max nodded, his eyes flickering with interest. "And what stage are you in right now?"

Blob smirked, his form pulsing with a faint golden hue. "I'm currently at the second stage of evolution," he said proudly. "It took me a long time to reach it, but now I'm close to the final stage. I just need a little more time, and perhaps a bit more soul essence, to take that final step."

A faint smile curved Max's lips. "Good. I hope you reach that stage by the time I ascend to the Divine Realm."

Blob's glow brightened slightly, almost like a proud flame. "I'll do my best." he said with determination. "You've given me this opportunity, so I'll make sure not to disappoint you."

Max could sense the sincerity in his voice. He knew Blob understood what lay ahead. The Divine Realm was a place where strength alone didn't guarantee survival. The geniuses there were monsters compared to the ones he had fought so far. If Blob wanted to be useful there, he would need to evolve further.

Satisfied with the response, Max shifted the conversation. "By the way, how is the spirit seed I sowed?" he asked curiously. "Has there been any progress?"

Blob's glow flickered in affirmation. "It's doing well," he said. "The seed has already rooted itself deep within the core of this dimension. It's absorbing the soul essence of the environment and slowly taking shape. It won't be long before it fully blooms."

Max nodded, a small spark of satisfaction lighting his eyes. "Good. Once it blooms, this entire dimension will evolve further. The connection between it and my soul will grow stronger."

Blob and Tian both nodded in agreement. The Dimension of Spirit was, after all, a reflection of Max's own soul. Any growth within it meant his own spiritual foundation was strengthening as well.

After a few moments of silence, Max turned toward both of them. "Alright," he said finally. "I'll leave everything here to you two. Watch over Lenavira and make sure the lotus continues to heal her. Call me the moment she awakens from her deep sleep."

Tian bowed slightly, his tone steady and respectful. "You can rest assured, Master. We will take care of everything."

Blob also nodded, his form flickering softly. "You have nothing to worry about here," he said.

Max gave them both a final nod. "Good."

Then, without another word, his figure began to fade. His body shimmered with silver light as his consciousness withdrew from the Dimension of Spirit. The last thing he saw before vanishing completely was the gentle golden glow of the lotus spreading through the air and the faint hum of the spirits singing softly as they returned to their colony.

And then, in the next instant, Max was gone.
