Yandere Levelling in Her World

Chapter 85: Yes one lazy angel but what about two?

Ren stood at the doorway, blinking at the sight before him. The room looked like a war zone — empty snack bags, clothes tossed over furniture, crumbs glimmering in sunlight like confetti from a defeated celebration.

And in the middle of it all sat another angel, lazily lounging on the couch with a half-eaten bag of potato chips and soda cans, watching a K-drama on Luxy's floating crystal screen.

Ren let out a quiet sigh. "What the hell is with these angels and living like pigs?"

The angel didn't even glance at him. She just reached for another chip, eyes glistening as the K-drama couple on-screen started crying.

Before Ren could say anything else, Luxy appeared out of nowhere and grabbed him by the arm. "Ren! What are you doing here? Didn't I text you not to come?"

He barely had time to react before she dragged him into the next room, shutting the door with a thud.

"Hey, easy— I'm not a sack of potatoes," Ren said, brushing off his coat. "And yeah, you texted me not to come, but that was two weeks ago. You haven't replied to a single message since. What was I supposed to do, wait forever? We got a job to do."

Luxy frowned, her blonde hair shimmering faintly in the dim light. "You shouldn't have come. If she sees you—"

Ren raised a brow. "You mean your roommate out there? The one crying over a K-drama while eating chips for breakfast? Well she already saw me but she doesn't care. I don't think she even knows you're here."

Luxy winced. "That's the angel"

"Oh, I know." Ren crossed his arms. "So that's why you haven't cleaned. I was wondering if this mess was a personality trait or a divine test. But it looks like every angel wants to live like pigs."

Luxy rolled her eyes. "There's no point in cleaning when it'll just get messy again."

Ren blinked. "That's the same excuse my college roommate used before he got evicted." But then he suddenly realized he had never been to college. Where did those memories even come from? He just shrugged his shoulders — at this point, it was the least surprising thing about his life.

She ignored that.

"Forget the mess," Ren said, voice softening. "It's time. We need to move. As we planned I should join you for the dungeon run — if we delay more, we'll lose the timing. I heard dungeon had been reactivated since the incident and it looks like things have taken an interesting turn with your sister's powers."

Luxy hesitated, then looked down. "About that…can't we wait a little longer." She glanced toward the door. "What am I supposed to do about her?"

Ren tilted his head. "Your sister?"

Luxy nodded, lowering her voice. "She won't leave. She says she'll only go back to heaven if I go with her. I've tried everything, but she won't listen."

Ren sighed. "Can't you just tell her to go home? She doesn't even know about me, right? She's not here to kill me or anything."

"I've already told her," Luxy said, rubbing her temple. "She refuses to leave. She thinks I'm just being stubborn."

Ren looked at her carefully. "You can't go back with one wing, can you?"

Her expression froze. Then she shook her head slowly. "Even if the goddess decided to forgive me… it's not possible anymore. I'm already a fallen angel."

Ren frowned. "Does she know that?"

Luxy's eyes darkened. "No. If she did, she'd fall apart. She still thinks I'm just being punished temporarily. She doesn't even know about your deal and how we are planning to...kill the goddess."

The silence stretched.

Ren exhaled and stepped closer, thinking. Then suddenly, a spark of mischief crossed his eyes.

"I think… I know a way to make her leave."

Luxy blinked. "What are you—"

Before she could finish, Ren moved — closing the distance between them in a single step. Luxy gasped as he pulled her close, one hand sliding behind her back, the other bracing against the wall beside her head.

Their faces were just inches apart.

Luxy's breath caught. "R-Ren…?"

He leaned in, his voice a whisper. "Play along. Trust me."

"Play along with what—"

Ren suddenly tilted his head and made a soft sound — a subtle, unmistakable "kiss" noise.

Luxy's eyes widened. "What are you—"

"Make the sound," he whispered urgently. "She'll hear us."

"Ren, this is ridiculous—"

"Come on," he murmured, his tone teasing. "You're an actress now, remember?"

Luxy hesitated, then let out a breath — a tiny, embarrassed "mmh" sound.

Ren did it again, leaning just close enough that she could feel his breath on her skin, the warmth of it brushing across her lips. The space between them grew impossibly small, and her heart started to thump faster despite knowing it was just an act.

"Closer," he whispered.

"Shut up," she hissed back — but she didn't move away.

The air felt thick, the faint hum of Luxy's divine aura flickering in rhythm with her heartbeat. For a moment, she forgot they were pretending.

Then —

Clack.

The door burst open.

"Luxy! What are you—"

Her sister froze in the doorway, wings half-folded, eyes wide with disbelief.

Ren and Luxy looked like they'd been caught mid-passion — close, flustered, breathless.

The angel's voice trembled. "Sister… what are you doing with this mortal trash?"

Luxy's mind went blank. "W-wait, it's not what it—"

But Ren spoke first, looking perfectly calm. "I'm sorry," he said, keeping his arm around Luxy. "We just couldn't hold back our feelings anymore. If it bothers you, we'll… go outside."

The angel looked horrified. "You love him?"

Ren shot Luxy a quick look — go with it.

Luxy swallowed hard, still half-stunned. Then she nodded. "Yes. That's why I can't leave here. I… I love him."

Her sister's face twisted between shock and sorrow. "No… this can't be true. You're supposed to be pure, not— not bound to a human trash!"

She turned, stumbling backward, wings flaring with a sharp gust of light. "This is a mistake! A terrible mistake!"

Before either could stop her, she darted through the window and vanished into the clouds, leaving a trail of golden feathers behind.

Silence fell again.

Luxy's head rested against Ren's shoulder, and for a moment neither of them moved. Then they slowly stepped apart.

Ren gave a small smirk. "See? Easy."

Luxy's cheeks were still red. "Easy? You nearly gave me a heart attack!"

He chuckled softly. "Hey, it worked. She's gone, right? I'm sure she'll report back soon, and once she realizes you're 'in love with a human,' she'll stop trying to drag you home."

Luxy frowned, brushing her fingers across her lips unconsciously. "You didn't have to make it so realistic…"

Ren tilted his head. "Would you rather I faked it badly and ruined the plan?"

She glared at him, but the corner of her mouth twitched. "You're impossible."

"And you," Ren said, looking around at the messy room again, "are living in divine chaos."

She sighed and crossed her arms. "I told you, there's no point cleaning."

Ren smirked. "So angels are lazy now?"

"Fallen," she corrected quietly.

Ren's expression softened. "Right… fallen. But you made that sacrifice for me and I can't even begin to explain how much you mean to me now.."

Luxy blinked, caught off guard. "Don't say things like that."

He shrugged. "Why not? It's true."

She turned away, muttering, "You really don't understand the weight of what I've done."

Ren stepped closer again, his voice low. "Maybe not. But I do understand this — if being here means you can smile again, even a little, then it's not wrong."

Luxy's breath hitched. She didn't reply, just kept staring at the window where her sister had disappeared.

After a long silence, she whispered, "Coming to this world really does affect us."

Ren raised a brow. "Huh?"

Luxy looked at him — her golden eyes soft, uncertain. "When… did we even start feeling like this? When did angels begin to feel things humans do?"

Ren smiled faintly. "Maybe when they stopped pretending they were above it."

Luxy's lips parted slightly, but no words came. She turned away again, pretending to tidy up a stack of papers that were beyond saving.

Ren headed toward the door, pausing at the threshold. "I'll give her some time. When she's gone for good, call me. We'll hit the dungeon together."

Luxy nodded faintly. "Yeah…"

He smiled once more, half teasing. "Oh — and next time, if we have to pretend again, maybe we should go for the real deal. I wouldn't mind kissing you even though you smell like beer."

Her wings twitched, and she threw a cushion at him. "Get out!"

Ren laughed as he ducked through the doorway, leaving Luxy alone with her thoughts.

For a moment, she stood in silence, tracing her fingers over her lips again — remembering the closeness, the warmth, the lie that had felt a little too real.

She looked toward the fading trail of feathers outside and whispered to herself, "Fallen or not… why does my heart still flutter like this?"

The crystal screen flickered, the K-drama still playing softly in the background — the same scene her sister had cried over earlier. Luxy sighed, half-smiling.

"Maybe humans aren't the only ones who fall."

And with that thought, she sank onto the couch, staring up at the ceiling as the afternoon light painted her blonde hair in an orange light.
