Divine Awakening: My Game Drops Increase Infinitely

Chapter 57 : The Final Blow

Hart's message meant only one thing.

Every piece of that crazy plan of his had finally fallen into place.

The setup was ready.

Now, all that remained was patience.

They had to wait for the healed demons to do exactly what he predicted.

Axton expected them to find a way to return to their commander.

He smirked faintly.

He was betting on a hunch… an inkling that the ox demon could communicate with its subordinates, just like the Great Wolf had once commanded its pack.

If not through words, then at least through instinct, rage, or sheer bloodlust. Just somehow… anyhow.

One way or another, the demons would come.

Even if they didn't, it wouldn't matter.

Axton was still the prime target on this battlefield.

No one could deny it.

He was the thorn in their side, the one obstacle standing between the demon army and absolute carnage.

If the demons had brains at all and wanted the demon invasion to succeed, Axton was enemy number one.

The demon commander was still recovering.

Its flesh was knitting together at an unnaturally slow pace than usual.

Wounds that would normally heal in moments now crawled toward recovery, sluggish and incomplete.

The transformation it had triggered earlier wasn't finished yet… it was ongoing, but hindered by the damage Axton had already inflicted.

Behind Axton, his clone staggered back onto its feet.

Bloodied, bruised, but still standing.

The two Axtons locked eyes and nodded.

No words were needed.

They folded their hands into fists, their bodies brimming with violent intent.

The signal passed between them with just a nod.

[Supreme Iron Fist]

Both figures lunged forward simultaneously.

Their fists pushing through the air, carrying enough destructive force to rip through their target.

*Boom*

The double strike exploded upon impact, shredding the demon's body.

Flesh and muscle peeled off as if torn apart by invisible blades of pressure.

The air cracked, and the ground beneath their feet fractured under the sheer weight of the technique.

The ox demon's health plummeted.

But even the Supreme Iron Fist, in all of its brutality, wasn't enough to end it.

The beast roared in pain, its monstrous voice echoing across the battlefield.

Axton and his clone didn't relent.

They pressed on, pounding relentlessly.

But before they could finish the job, the sound of snarls and growls drew nearer.

*Grrrrr*

The demons were coming.

*Swoosh*

Claws sliced the air, aiming straight for Axton's throat.

A handful of demons lunged, their eyes blood-red with frenzy.

Axton twisted mid-air, barely dodging, though one swipe left a shallow scratch across his face.

"Tch." He clicked his tongue, annoyed but unshaken.

The clone had done its part.

Any more, and it would only waste his mana.

With a flick of thought, Axton dismissed it.

The double vanished in a flash of fading light.

Now it was just him.

The demons swarmed around him, bodies moving in a mindless fashion, each one wanting a pound of Axton's flesh without regards for their fellow demons.

However, Axton moved with sharp precision, sneaking past their attacks, letting their claws scrape air instead of flesh.

Every swing they made failed to catch him, every dive left them vulnerable.

They weren't individually stronger than him.

They didn't need to be.

Numbers alone made them a problem, and Axton knew it.

Out of the hundreds they had already slain, at least fifty to sixty of these monsters had been healed.

Enough to boost the ox demon's power significantly.

Enough to make things very dangerous if he let them regroup.

"Tch!" he gritted his teeth.

He could appreciate Dragon Claw's effort.

Without them, none of this would have been possible.

Nevertheless, he expected more.

He needed more.

The outcome felt like a half-win, half-loss.

Taking a deep breath, he calmed the storm raging inside of him.

This wasn't the time to dwell on what-ifs.

There was only one path left.

He had to end this now.

And for that, he needed his strongest ability.

The image of one flashed in his mind — Supreme Iron Fist, supercharged with the overwhelming effect of [Battle God].

A technique so violent, so absolute, that even a commander-class demon wouldn't walk away from it.

With Battle God amplifying his strike, he could push his attack power beyond two hundred points above his base.

Enough to tear through the demon's regeneration and end this mindless fight between them.

Without hesitation, Axton pushed forward in one last stand.

The group of demons were nothing more than mere distractions and feed for his ability as he ignored them while launching forward.

Ahead, behind a wall of demons, the ox demon stood.

It was bent forward, its wound healing slowly as it recovered from the injuries inflicted on him.

Too slow.

Hovering into the air with [Flight], Axton glared down with cold, merciless eyes.

His fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles seemed to crack.

[Supreme Iron Fist]

The atmosphere shook as his strike descended.

Blow after blow, he pounded into the ox demon.

Each strike shook the ground.

Each of his fist was a hammer of pure destruction.

He didn't stop.

He didn't breathe… he didn't hesitate to continued punching down on the ox demon.

There was only one goal, and that was to crush the demon and everything that affiliated with it.

The aura of his fists stretched outward, ripping through nearby demons.

Every time his knuckles cracked against the commander's body, waves of destructive energy shredded its lackeys.

The ox demon staggered, its body collapsing under the ceaseless onslaught.

Its regeneration couldn't keep up. Its roars turned weaker, more desperate, until finally…

Axton drew his Aura Sword and casting the sword's ultimate technique.

His killing intent was palpable as he clenched the hilt of the weapon in his hand.

"For the last time…" His voice was ice. "Die."

[Aura Sword Summon]

The Aura Swords descended and went through the demon's body, severing flesh and bone.

*Crash*

The ox demon's massive frame collapsed, its health bar draining in one clean sweep to zero.

Its eyes dimmed.

Its monstrous voice faded into silence.

It was finally over.
