Dual Cultivation: Ying Yang is way to Chaos

Chapter 198: Who Will Tell Them?

If these tests were meant for testing the strength of individuals, then she wouldn't be in this much trouble.

Lin Feng listened to Zeng Rong but ignored him. He looked at the beast as it finished swallowing Luo Ming. He was thinking if he could get the storage ring if he killed the beast or not.

Zeng Rong assumed the worst when he didn't get a reply from Lin Feng, and he felt a chill run down his spine. Was he going to die too?

Others had the same expression on their faces.

Bai Lian gritted her teeth as well. She had quite a good number of protection talismans, but since they couldn't be used, they were useless. It didn't mean that she was completely defenseless.

The spirit consciousness didn't allow talismans, but it didn't say anything about weapons.

Luckily, her sister had given her two such weapons in case she was too slow to use talismans. These could be used to store an attack of even higher grade.

One was a Grade 6 sword, and the attack it was holding came from a Spirit Origin Realm cultivator. The only issue was that the spirit consciousness would definitely suppress this attack, as it wasn't her own and was of a higher realm.

The second was a Grade 4 robe, which she was wearing. It held a protective attack that could be activated using her own spirit qi, but the robe would enhance it to reach almost the peak of the Grade 4 realm.

She had little hope that the spirit consciousness wouldn't suppress this one. Nonetheless, it was still her last resort. If she never had to use it, that would be better.

She looked at the beast that was glaring at her, as she was now the closest to it. She didn't know if the masked cultivator would interfere or not, but she prepared for the worst.

She took her stance, keeping in mind the possibility of the arena stumbling again, and waited for the beast to make its move.

Swishhhh... THUMP!

Suddenly, something hit the leopard straight on its cheek. The impact was so powerful that whatever struck the beast had penetrated its flesh.

"Grrrrraawwwwhhhhh....." The beast roared on the spot, giving up its thought of attacking Bai Lian.

Bai Lian took this chance and quickly put some distance between herself and the beast. Others also moved farther away while being utterly surprised. They kept their eyes on the masked cultivator, waiting to see if he would disrupt Bai Lian or not.

They wanted to be prepared in case he did. But beyond their expectations, instead of hitting the stone slab again, he took out a spirit stone and threw it at the leopard. This helped Bai Lian to get away from the beast easily.

They were surprised. Did this mean he had listened to Zeng Rong and was now really trying to help them kill the beast? That would be very helpful.

Bai Lian wasn't able to see what had struck the beast, but she was sure it was done by the masked cultivator, because only he could have struck the beast's cheek from that distance.

She was surprised and, like the others, thought that he had really decided to help them. "Thank you," she said, deciding to thank him.

Lin Feng nodded subtly and suddenly dashed forward, closing the distance between him and the beast.

The beast immediately turned toward him. By now, its leg was almost fully healed, so there was no doubt it would be able to exert its full speed again.

When Zhao Lei saw the masked cultivator moving toward the leopard, he trembled at the thought that the masked cultivator might use the beast to toy with him.

That thought became real when the masked cultivator turned his hollow eyes toward him, completely ignoring the beast, even though it was about to pounce on him.

Zhao Lei instinctively started moving backward, but when he remembered that he wasn't far from the bottomless abyss, he forced himself to stop. "D-Don't do it, Yin Yang Harmony Sect w-will avenge me!" He doubted begging would work, so he tried the only method he could think of.

Lin Feng smirked inwardly while sidestepping to dodge the beast. This time, he didn't move slowly or wait for the last moment. He moved faster than the leopard itself, so it was almost effortless for him to dodge it.

Others were shocked but accepted it. This only confirmed their earlier assumption that the masked cultivator was far stronger than them. They still couldn't understand how, since his cultivation realm still showed Late Stage Core Formation.

Nonetheless, the truth was right before their eyes, and they couldn't deny it.

After dodging, Lin Feng took a single step toward Zhao Lei. "Yin Yang Harmony Sect... huh? Who will tell them?" He took another step forward as the beast lunged at him again, which he dodged easily before taking another step closer.

Zhao Lei gritted his teeth and looked at the other cultivators behind Lin Feng. "Them!"

Zeng Rong's expression hardened. "Don't try to drag us with you. No one gives a damn about a trash like—"

"Well, let's say they did. How would they find me? You don't even know what I truly look like. All I have to do is remove my mask, and even if I joined the Yin Yang Harmony Sect, they still wouldn't be able to find me," Lin Feng said, interrupting Zeng Rong mid-sentence.

Zhao Lei clenched his only remaining fist. It was the truth. He didn't even know who this cultivator was, so others could never find him either.

In the end, it wasn't as if he truly believed the Yin Yang Harmony Sect would take revenge for him. He was a genius, no doubt, but not to the level where the sect would seriously care about his life or death.

He had only tried to intimidate the masked cultivator, but it seemed that wouldn't work.

While he was lost in thought, Lin Feng had almost reached his side, with the beast now behind him, as he had just dodged it.
