Dual Cultivation: Ying Yang is way to Chaos

Chapter 209: Loose Nothing

All the disciples were angered by his tone and words. "How about you come out of the safe zone and we test out your immortality, you coward! Without that talisman, you are nothing!"

Lin Feng smirked at the disciple. "What kind of idiotic logic is that? A talisman maker can't even use his own talismans? I can say the same to you—without your cultivation realm, you are nothing."

The disciple gritted his teeth. "You coward, stop twisting the facts! There is no way a puny Core Formation realm swine can create Grade 4 talismans!"

"Well, if you don't believe it, then what can I say? I am not even surprised. A trash always thinks others are trash too... tch." Lin Feng smirked, and it was obvious to the disciples, even though he was wearing a mask.

"YOU—"

"Leave it... he's just trying to rile you up " The woman shook her head," Sister Bai, is there any restriction inside the ruin that indirectly helps low-realm cultivators?" She wasn't only concerned about the masked cultivator; for her, getting out of the ruin alive was far more important.

"Well, there are some things. Flying is restricted inside the ruin. The entire arena where the battle takes place is a safe zone, so you cannot attack each other. But there isn't anything that would help low-realm cultivators. These things are told by the senior, so you would have known them eventually."

The woman understood now why so many cultivators had fallen into whatever abyss it was.

"I think that's enough for you to judge the dangers of the ruin, so—"

"Just one last question, Sister Bai," The woman cut Bai Lian in mid sentence," Is the beast living or an array projection, and how did you kill it?"

"That's an array projection... alright, that's enough." Bai Lian said and walked away from everyone, choosing to stand alone. She didn't mind staying near Lin Feng, but if these cultivators decided not to enter the ruin, they might spread unwanted rumors, which could affect the relationship between the Yin Yang Harmony Sect and the Skycloud Auction Pavilion.

Lin Feng, on the other hand, was thinking about one problem he had to solve—his identity as Lin Hao.

The disciples assigned to him must have already gone searching for him. They were only twenty-four after he killed one. Given how vast the inheritance site was, finding him would be nearly impossible.

So if they didn't find him, it wouldn't matter much. But he wanted them to find him, so that he could use the excuse that he had been with them the entire time.

This way, no one would ever doubt that he was Lin Hao when he did what he planned to do in the main ruin of the inheritance site. There was still plenty of time left, so he would see how things unfolded.

"Should we enter then, Sister Pei?" one of the disciples asked. Since there were a total of eight cultivators, they could enter.

The woman was deep in thought. It was quite dangerous. The fact that the beast was an array projection made it even more difficult.

Unlike a real beast, which would grow weaker as it took injuries, this one merely acted like a living creature. Its drop in battle strength wouldn't be the same, as it wouldn't feel fear or hesitation even when wounded.

She was confident in her own strength, but even Zhao Lei had died somehow, and she didn't want to take unnecessary risks, especially since the one responsible for Zhao Lei's death was going with them.

Entering without the required number of Soul Sea Realm cultivators would be a risky endeavor. "Four of you, go in pairs of two and fetch someone. It would be better to bring two or three more disciples. We can compromise on treasures—living is necessary to use them."

The disciples looked at one another before a few of them sighed. They knew she was being cautious, maybe even paranoid, but it was for the best. There were many other ruins, and if they survived the first one, they would have valuable experience for the rest.

"Alright..." one of them spoke and left, another following behind. Similarly, the other pair departed as well.

The woman finally looked toward the masked cultivator, who had gone and sat beside the entrance. She checked his cultivation realm again, trying to see if he had used any technique to suppress it.

After a few breaths, she withdrew her gaze—she hadn't found any clue of suppression.

"Sister Bai, I am Pei Lingxi. Forgive me for the late introduction," Pei Lingxi said, cupping her fists toward Bai Lian.

Bai Lian nodded. "Nice to meet you. Your calmness is commendable."

Unlike the others, who were clearly showing their anger toward Lin Feng, Pei Lingxi mostly frowned but stayed calm. It was a rare trait among the prideful cultivators of the Yin Yang Harmony Sect.

"Maybe, but you must also think that I am too paranoid, right?" Pei Lingxi said with a rueful smile.

"Trust me, it's good to be paranoid—at least from what I've seen in the last ruin. When there is no coordination, it becomes far more dangerous to fight that beast." Bai Lian still regretted her decision to enter that ruin.

Pei Lingxi took note of this. It seemed she would have to take charge of the entire team once they entered the ruin.

Now, the only issue was how to deal with the masked cultivator. Since it was a safe zone, this cultivator wouldn't be able to use his talismans to attack them directly. But since there was always a way to exploit such things, she had to find a way to neutralize him.

It wasn't hard to figure out how someone could create a situation where they could easily affect others—by using the beast as a shield.

This cultivator had mentioned that he was a talisman maker and even hinted that he could create talismans of a higher grade, something even she found hard to believe. But in the worst case, she would consider it true for now.

If the masked cultivator was simply boasting, then she would lose nothing.
